Showed up early to appt made over month ago for regular check up. Hour wait for 5 minutes tech service ( she was great) and 5 minute rushed dentist exam. I was told my oral hygiene was great and to keep it up, no complaints. Then I was told I needed 4 procedures done to the tune of an additional $700 on top of the $374 I was charged for this very brief check up. If able to, this practice would get a zero. Definitely not a good business model. Please note that these are not 30 year old dentures. My originals were replaced about 12 or 13 years ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made an online appointment, as well as spoke to the office about denture repair only. Was told by the office that denture repairs are a service they provide.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got to my appointment, filled out the paperwork and was told my visit required an x-ray. I inquired why, when I have no teeth, but they stated that it was protocol. X-ray was completed. I was then told I needed a dental exam by the dentist. Ask why, when I only requested a denture repair. Again office protocol. Dentist came and gave me an exam. Told me there was a piece of root from my previous extractions (30 years ago), that needed to be removed. I told the dentist I was aware of the root and iI had never caused me a problem. He still stated it needed to be removed. He also stated, that my dentures could not be repaired, as they were too worn. Stated that my only option was new dentures. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the dental chair, I was lead to the office of their operations manager, who proceeded to review with me, several different new dentures options[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I explained to her that the purpose of my appointment that day was clearly for denture repair only and that I would get back to her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After leaving the office, I contacted a denture repair service a few towns away. Got an appointment for the next day. Upon examination of my denture, I was advised it could easily be fixed and that it would probably take about an hour or so. I had the denture repaired. Repair appears well done, was reasonably priced and completed in about an hour. Came with "Lifetime" warranty on the repairs. My advice, is to steer away from Aspen dental, if it all possible. read more

Ms Persavich, I was brought up to say nothing if you haven't anything good to say. Well I have held to that for most of my life until now. I am going to lay it out in bullet form. 1. A nice young man begins the X-ray process and is very careful knowing I was in pain. 4. A woman comes by the room interrupting the X-ray process so now I am left with the apparatus stuck in my mouth while she asked the X-ray tech ( what is that?) he responds an I pant, she acts like she never seen one. She starts a conversation I am in pain so I want this conversation over and I tell her it's all on 5 well it didn't come out well with my mouth full so I took out the metal and said all on 5 she decided that was the time to be a smart mouth . She informed me that she was the dentist ( which gave me pause since she acted like she didn't understand what she was looking at in the X-ray). I told her I didn't care who she was she was interrupting the young man doing his job. I was in pain and I am sure she knew it. She turned to walk away and she looked back and me and said well see she was the dentist. At this point I asked the young man, did I raise my voice which I had not but after asking him several times it was obvious by his response which was oh it was just a miss communication I asked is this how she treats all her patients. He did not answer just said it will be ok. I believe he was worried about his job I didn't blame him. 5. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was taken to another room where I met Syed. He was a very pleasant young man and the dental hygienist. He went over what his job was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked him where he was from because I thought I recognized the accent. In fact I did and we had a very nice but short conversation about our homes. There was nothing he would be doing for me ,I only had six teeth 3 on either side of my missing front bottom 6. Very pleasant interaction put me a little at ease. 7. The impressions where taken 8. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Next the dentist came in. She started out no smile with a what would have been called a half-ass apology in my youth[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I did not respond and she proceeded to tell me that the infection was bad and if she gave me antibiotics before she pulled those two it wouldn't have done anything beneficial for the infection so we are going to extract them. The young man that did the X-rays started with putting something on my gums then she started shooting the Novocain into my gums, she hit the bone with the needle several times ,once I could feel the Novocain squirting out next to the teeth. She then started to pull the teeth. She rocked the first loose tooth back and forth to the extent she hit my jaw above with the tool so hard that I raised up and just stopped myself from grabbing her arm and grabbed my chest instead. She asked if it hurt, well you would have to be an idiot to think anything else. So more Novocain and try to pull it. I don't even know how many times she tried to jerk it out before it came out. Then the same for the next one, rocking, jerking, and pulling. It was the most painful extractions I have ever had and I have had everything pulled including wisdom teeth being so bad I had to come in every morning for days to have it repacked. This experience was worse. Finally it was done and my face and jaws hurt immensely. 9. The dentist told me that the two eye teeth would be done by a dental surgeon because he was putting in the studs as soon as he takes out the teeth and it would be a lot more expensive for those extractions . Understood no problem. 10. I went to the business office to settle up for the day. Very nice woman behind the desk and she proceeds to tell me after loading her codes that the bill for the day would be almost 8 hundred dollars. I was shocked and asked for 2 extractions? She explained the extractions were high dollar extractions. I told her that only the front 2 where suppose to be high dollar and those will be done same time the studs would be put in. She left to go talk to the dentist . She returned with the dentist so she could tell me they could be simple extractions. As if she was doing me a favor. She hung around for some time telling the office manager how she wanted it. When she left I began talking to the manager about options and she let me know more options the dentist had not told me about that would save some money. At this time I paid my bill which was now just over $400. By the time I got home my face was hurting pretty bad. I looked in the mirror and my lips were bruised. By that night the entire side of my face and jaw inside and part of the outside was black and blue and TMJ started on the left side.At this time I decided she was either willfully hurting me , ( hence the we'll see comment) drastically incompetent, or just not physically strong enough to be a dentist. I went in for some dental work in summer of 2023. paid while there. In 2024 get a letter stating their billing system was messed up and I still owed them for that visit and if I paid now I could get a discount I should've paid then. but waited. I felt it wasn't my fault they waited a year before sending a bill for something that was unexplainable (less than $100) Kept getting notices so finally paid discounted amount on their bill. I then get notice from them that they are sending my unpaid amount (discounted difference) to a collection agency. I challenged this but today I receive bill from agency for $11.27. I wouldn't complain but service was terrible, machines were broken and I had to ask them to fix my crown where it would fit right. They also wrote up a "plan" for me and the charges. After reviewing that plan, I found that they were going to charge me for services I didn't need (already had them done) There Are much better options than this place. Definitely in it for how much money they can squeeze out of you or your insurance. They don't even deserve one star read more

I had a tooth extraction and bone graft and I was absolutely terrified, I'm 19 and never had anything like this done, they walked me through everything treated me with kindness and respect even though I probably called like 15 times within 2 days asking dumb questions the staff never got upset, I didn't feel a thing even after the local anesthetics wore off not even a little sore everyone was very very friendly and helpful I would recommend this to anyone especially if you can't afford dental care my credit score is awful I've had a repo and a credit card that got sent to debt collection and I still got approved for a loan and only paid 150$ down to get it all done read more

BEWARE....this has to be the worst dentist office ever. Their staff is just poorly trained and incompetent. I think this place just hires people other dentists will not. Their denture making procedure is severely flawed, they use a cheap manufacturing process that will result in hideous black lines on the front teeth and then tell you that it's normal. There is nothing normal about black lines on front teeth. So if you like being treated like a human being instead of a number on a chart then this isn't the place for you. Was able to get a last minute appointment for my teen which was convenient. Front desk staff was polite. However, we were there for 90 minutes past our set appointment time and had only gotten x-rays. Still had not seen the dentist or had anything else done. The staff did not communicate at all what the delay was. We flagged down the x-ray tech in the hall and told them we were leaving. He was polite and told us that the dentist was stuck in a procedure. Explained to him that we could not continue to wait. I understand that things come up but communicate with your patients and give them the option of rescheduling. You cannot expect a routine dental check and cleaning for a teen to take more than two hours. Cancelled the appointment for my other teen. A busy parent does not have time for this! read more

This dental service is deceptive. I scheduled a teeth cleaning appointment. I did not want X-rays at this time. The technician said X-rays and full exam were required before my teeth could be cleaned. I acquiesced. Following X-rays and full exam, I was told my teeth were in good shape but an old crown should be replaced. I declined and said I just wanted a cleaning. I was told that this Aspen location does not employ a dental hygienist and I'd have to go elsewhere. I was very disappointed by this response. I came specifically for a cleaning, was subjected to X-rays and left without a cleaning. In my opinion, this was dishonest. Horrible practice in managing patient load. I gave this location a try after being booted down the hygienist list for six months from its sister location three years ago. Only after they performed my exam and had me purchase X-rays did they inform me that - yep - it would be six months before anyone could clean my teeth. The worst part is they pulled this on my two children as well. Obviously we would not have come in if they could not perform the full scope of a checkup. What a frustrating experience since the location and tech are good quality, but the customer service is atrocious. read more

This mornings appointment at Aspen Dental was the worst experience I have had in over 20 years. I thought I was in a third world country. The office reminded me of the 1950's. It was filthy. The floors were filthy and looked as though they had not been mopped or vacuumed in a week. My next experience was to have a full mouth X-ray. The X-ray equipment was antique and rusty. The x-ray operator was inexperienced and broke a piece of my tooth while removing an X-ray plate. She never even said she was sorry but kept right on working. I wanted to leave then and told her that I did not feel safe there. This statement fell on deaf ears. After this fiasco I was shown to the hygienists chair. I had to use a paper towel to wipe off the chair and arm rests. This dental chair had to be 20 years old and also had rust. Nothing was clean looking so I had enough. I gathered my stuff and quietly walked out of the door. Once in my car I grabbed my alcohol spray and saturated my hands, arms, and face..... never to return. I advise everyone who reads this to consider your options and know that there are so many better offices in The Villages. Never settle for " third world " ! read more

Had my insurance company call Aspen Dental on Wedgewood lane today to set up an appointment for a standard bi annual cleaning . When I arrived at the dental office I told them that I was there for the cleaning that was approved by the insurance company and even offered the printed paperwork from the insurance company. She said she did not need them. After taking many xrays the dentist came in and said my teeth were very clean and the front desk would schedule the cleaning. I told her the cleaning was to be done today according to the phone conversation. She said they do not clean on the first visit even though the person on the phone set up the appointment. The they proceeded to tell me I needed a de scaling which was not covered. I said I only wanted what was covered by the insurance company. She said they can not do that if the dentist said I needed more. This company is a real SCAM to get you in the office , in the chair and then rip you off for un necessary work. Upon assessing my teeth condition, a young doctor recommended that I first undergo a "deep cleaning". She explained that because it involved scraping under the gum line I needed sedation. A young hygienist cleaned half of my mouth and assured me she had performed a deep cleaning. When I asked her when was she going to work under my gum line, she said she had already done so. As I insisted because she had used no sedatives and I had felt no pain, she showed me a small cotton puff with a blood stain. I went to the office manager to complain as I was being charged $1000 for a regular cleaning worth a small portion of it. The office manager expectingly sided with the hygienist. I insisted on my claim and requested to have another x-ray to demonstrate that no tar had been removed from under the gum line. The new x-ray proved me right. The hygienist had misled me and the office. Fortunately Dr Cline, the practice owner, came to the rescue and offered to have the hygienist's work redone and the completion of the work done for free. I just wonder how many patients have gone home thinking they got a good cleaning job when in fact they were misled. read more

I had to have an emergency filling the day after thanksgiving and they not only took me in as a brand new patient but got me in with the Doctor and got me completely taken care of with just and hour or two. Even short-staffed (like I said, it was the morning after thanksgiving) they accommodated me at every turn. Called a couple days before my first cleaning to find out if I needed to take the antibiotics that my last dentist had required. I never got a call back. I called again the morning of my appt and was told not to worry about just come to appt. arrived for my appt 15 min early as a courtesy. Was not taken on time at 15 minutes late I asked if it would be much longer. I was told it would just be a few more minutes. I really appreciate professionals that see patients when they are scheduled. Twenty minutes late and still not taken back. At twenty three minutes late, I was called back. I told the person who took me back for my cleaning that I wasn't pleased at how late I was being taken back. She said that a hygienist had left for dental school and they were short handed. I said that if they were short handed and couldn't meet their schedules they should let the patients know so they could make a decision about their appt. she explained that if they rescheduled me it would be six months out. The hygienist came in to do my cleaning. She had a great touch and we were done in a jif. Then she booked my next appt. and took me to a waiting room. After 10 minutes they told me I could go. Not sure why I had to wait. I definitely recommend the hygienist, Zana. The office, not so much. read more

This was the worst dental experience of my entire life. They called me at least 4 times, emailed me & texted me to confirm my appointment which I thought was just because I was a new patient so I didn't mind their eagerness. I was early to my appointment to I was waiting outside in the parking lot when I received yet another call from but this time it was Aspen calling me to see if I wanted to come in early for my appointment! Great I thought!! I walked right in and signed in all my paper work and sat down thinking I would get called back any minute.... after 20 minutes of sitting there I caught on quickly that the lady at the front desk just wanted to go home early and I was the last patient she needed to sign in. After 40 minutes of sitting in the waiting room I finally get called back to take x-rays. The X-ray tech was so fast that I don't even know if she got good x-rays. I watched the camera drop and she didn't bother to retake a picture, just kept going. The Dentist was a joke, I told him what I noticed about my teeth and he just repeated everything I said, back to me and told me everything I already knew at the end of "looking" at my teeth. He literally just strolled the utinsile across my teeth in one quick motion and magically had all these recomendations and knew all this stuff about me teeth and what I needed done. How? I don't know because he didn't even look for longer than a minute. His introduction for who he was took longer than him looking at my teeth. Told me he would give me some GI paste which I thought I would receive that visit, but I didn't. I didn't even receive the cleaning I was scheduled for. Then the financial woman who sits at the front desk comes in and takes my bib thing off. (Very weird that she is doing this, not her job or very sanitary but I went with it) when she took me to the desk she started to explain to me what my insurance covers and things like that, and that's when I realized I wasn't getting the cleaning I signed up for. She THEN proceeds to tell me that because of my insurance, I have to see a hygenist before I get my cleaning because of the way delta dental is set up. Which I completely* understand & has nothing to do with Aspen Dental, but the thing that made me make up my mind about NEVER returning to this dentist office is the fact that they wanted to me to come back two days later TO DO THE SAME THING I DID AT THIS APPOINTMENT!! like you've got to be kidding me. & that appointment wouldn't even consist of a cleaning I came in for originally, it would just for the hygensit to looking at my teeth again. BUT THEN* the best part of it all was that they wanted to do two fillings in my teeth BEFORE* they even scheduled me for a cleaning. Why is this you ask? Because that's the only thing my insurance WOULDNT* pay for. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! So many things wrong with this place. What was the point in this visit? Also, I told the scheduling women I had delta dental, why didn't she inform me of the 2 appointment process my insurance requires. And even if that's something she wouldn't know she DEFINETLY knew I wasn't going to be getting a cleaning my first visit. So why did she say I was? And WHY do I have to visit Aspen Dental THREE times before I can even receive a simple cleaning? They really know how to drag out a simple process.
