My husband has seen Dr. Becky Abney for multiple extractions, a partial, a filling and a cleaning. He has a general fear of doctors and dentists. They tried to handle him with care although their sedation techniques were unsuccessful. He saw Rebecca and Josie as well and I'm told they all handled him with patience and care- but they all most likely endured some combative humor. He wanted me to know they were very patient and gentle for his cleaning and throughout all the twists and turns. He's willing to get another cleaning! So these ladies hung the moon! read more

I visited 2 times, first visit was ok, my tooth was pulled without a problem, for my second visit, I had a different doctor and it was a disaster. I had a broken tooth with a root canal. Since I suffered from fractured root of a root canalled tooth and it had to be pulled before, I expressed my concerns but she did not even listen, she just kept on looking the X-rays taken before the fracture. There is an endodontist in that clinic, there could be a consultation but it did not happen, let alone she did not even want X-rays to see the current situation (especially for the root). Being concerned, I went next day and asked for X-rays myself. Again, not paying attention, she mixed my X-rays with another patient and told me there is a cavity in my tooth that already has been pulled???? After my clarification, she told me that she was happy seeing the X-ray , quite questionable why as a dentist she did not ask for it in the first place and as a patient, I had to figure it out and pursue it myself then... On the day of procedure, because of the local anesthetic she applied even my eyelid was numbed , when I told her that she told me I was sensitive????? This was something that I have never experienced even in a root canal treatment before. Again on the procedure day, the person that normally does the scan for the temporary crown offered inexperienced dentist assistant to go ahead and make the scan with giggling as if my mouth is a playground for people to be trained. The day after procedure, the nostril close to that tooth stuffed, I went to Rhinologist (nose doctor) to see what is wrong and he told me there is nothing wrong with the nose itself and asked if I had a dental procedure recently saying it is highly possible that my sinus is punctured!!!! Although I told the dentist several times!!!! if I would decide to do permanent crown, it would be a few months later, approx. 1 week after the operation, they e-mailed saying the scan they took did not work so I need to go again to be scanned for the permanent crown which I refused. You may judge by yourself the success of the temporary one that has been done with the scan that did not work !!! When I briefly visited the clinic and expressed the possibility of my sinus puncture, they told me there would be a post-operation visit free of charge but they could not guarantee that the treatment would be free of charge as if it is not their fault. Needless to say, I am not planning to visit again. read more

I am an existing patient. I broke a tooth and made an appointment to have it fixed. After an x-ray, they said it would be a simple filling. However, I had some bacteria around some of my teeth so they wanted me to do a gum treatment before the filling. I told them I was not prepared for that. They "insisted" I have the gum treatment before the filling. I was told it would be $323 and I had to pay it up front, and that I would have to be scheduled for a future date. They obviously care nothing for their patients and are only there to make money. I will find a reputable practice. read more

When I bleed all over their office chair because I am not allowed to leave for 5 minutes to get some tampons, whose fault is that, mine or hers? If I had known that office was run under a dictatorship I would have taken my aunt somewhere else to spend 2 grand!!! read more

How I wish I had looked at YELP before starting out with this place!!! They MAKE MISTAKES THAT CUSTOMERS HAVE TO PAY FOR! The price I will have to pay for NOT looking at YELP for this (I always do for restaurants!). I don't even know where to start other than by saying, try another company! I had gone in and been seen for my "initial" visit, exam, and treatment plan. I was informed that I needed a deep cleaning (not a surprise as I'd not been to the dentist since moving to the area 3yrs ago). When I was informed of all I needed the total cost was over $9,000. I started laughing and said, what is the cost of a cleaning - period - let's do that. They then said that it would be a bit over $2k but "my share" would be - good news! $1,065 and it would need to be paid "up front". After the sticker shock of it - I paid half that day and stated I would pay the other half the day I came in - they insisted I come back immediately for the cleaning - since my mouth was in such bad shape. HA HA. I explained I needed to wait about two weeks - no, let's just put you down for next week - no later than that - I did - then I called in to change my appointment. I can NEVER get to anyone without having to call numerous times and be immediately placed on hold and wait 20 minutes or so (just pray you don't get disconnected because I did numerous times). Okay - appointment changed - went in - the person was nice, service complete, no problem - WAIT!!! That's not the end, oh no, I went in 3 months later, guess what after I paid for my cleaning again $127 - the girl doing this time acted as though she was totally disgusted in me, pushed my head around, had water all over my face, I ended up with white sticky stuff on my mouth and face (didn't realize till I took my mask off in the car and looked in the mirror)! Nope- the clincher is, I had to wait to be checked out - didn't make sense since I'd already paid - finally 25 minutes later - I'm walked to the front and told I had a $900+ balance on my account. I said "WHAT!!!" There's some mistake - oh no, my insurance denied my claim because there was a 12 month waiting period for me. My service was on 3/9/22 - I was eligible for major services on 4/1/22 and this was a major service. LOL. WOW. Then they said they'd been sending me bills - I get lots of those but never from them! After I called my insurance company, my insurance co. called for me and reported that Aspen had indeed called but they had forgotten to put that I was not eligible on my chart. Guess what? Now I'm supposed to pay them because after all I was only given an "estimate" by them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After numerous calls back to their office, I was informed that the manager could only "write off" a percentage of it but I had to pay the $500 plus that she "could not" write off! I could make payments until its done. Wasn't that nice? A business that does not take responsibility for their mistakes and make the customer do it and doesn't care. Funny, I had several people ask me that very day if I knew a good dentist. LOL. I laughed and said NO, just don't get ripped off like I've been. It's really a shame! They missed an abscess in my son's mouth. Wanted to schedule him for an immediate wisdom teeth extraction as that was the cause of his horrible pain. I was told he had no cavities or infection so no antibiotics needed, only surgery. They sent him home with Motrin. We took him to a local oral surgeon to have a second opinion. They had to do all new xrays since the ones from Aspen were such low quality, putting him through more pain. Immediately saw abscess and said it is definitely the cause for his pain. Numerous things - I walked in with no known pain or problems, just wanted to get my teeth cleaned and 6-mo checkup. I warned everyone that performed an exam that I was a bleeder, the periodontal exam individual was extremely rough pushing the probe half-way to my eyeball several times and then claimed I bled a lot. No surprise there.This person doing the exam told me my teeth and gums were in horrible shape, extensive infection in my mouth, and would have to have periodontal therapy every 3 months. The refused to do or schedule a cleaning without doing the deep root cleaning every 3 months. I had been to 3 other dentists in the last 8 months, including a surgeon who all said my teeth were in great shape. I was just coming out of pneumonia and bronchitis having taken 3 antibiotics. When I questioned her she become combative saying she didn't understand why I was mad. I told her I wasn't mad, I was in pain and frankly found her diagnosis to be questionable. She became even more combative. I told her I'd put my other dentist degrees up to hers for comparison. I'm still in quite a bit of pain from her exam the next day. Instead of a dentist giving me my treatment plan, the office manager gave it to me. She recommended I get a second opinion. I also wanted to mention that while I was sitting in the chair no less than 10 people walked into the room 'needing something'. I don't know how many entered the room while I was getting x-rays. Only 3 people treated me. I felt like I was in the storage room that everyone needed something from. Considering my purse was on the wall behind me where I couldn't see it, I felt this was not a safe, secure office, it was by no means private, and I felt very uncomfortable with the number of visitors in and out of the exam room. This was the most unprofessional, unfriendly office I've ever visited. read more

I called them with the hope of changing dentist and having better success. I had a complaint of a problem with a tooth that I had previous work done on with the hope that someone else could fix it. Well they completely ignored my concerns and all they did was push their own agenda which was milk my insurance and charge me constantly for co-pays for future work to be done. All they did was want to push their cleaning program.....over and over. I skipped my next two appointments because I was pissed. I left messages with their answering machine which is a complete waste of time. A month later I got a message to call them back to confirm an appointment the next month. When I called back to see what they wanted...guess what, they wanted to schedule me for a DAMN cleaning!!!! In the meantime the tooth that I had originally gone there for has now since broken in two.
