First of all, I like to have clean teeth for my husband Enrique. I expect them to fully take care of my teeth when I have an appointment. Not only did they NOT do that properly, they also insulted me quite a few times! I understand that I am older, and my teeth are not as chipper as they used to be in my younger years. But that is NO excuse to treat me like the dirt on the bottom of your shoe! My dentist was incredibly rude, insulting how I looked and claiming it was just a passing comment. Tsk. Tsk. I mentioned my husband Enrique during my visit, I was almost immediately judged and nearly shamed. I get it, it's not everyday you come across a proud, old, gay man. But what does shaming me for my pride have to do with cleaning my teeth? I feel like this is just poor treatment for someone my age, and my type. The office was beyond horrible, sure, a nice layout for the building. But the managers and office workers were INCREDIBLY rude. I felt like I should have been ashamed for wanting my teeth taken care of! This whole shabang of a business feels shabby, sketchy, and scam-filled. Horrible!! They only want your money. Ive never had crooked teeth, but due to my teeth being impacted from my wisdom teeth, they tried to convince me i needed Invisalign which if u dont know isnt cheap!! All i needed was my wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon who told me my teeth are fine as ive always known!! I also have caps to prevent cavities and this doc tried to tell its because i already had a cavity! No girl, i promise i talk to my dentist ab whats happening in my mouth, i only went there due to just moving an being unable to get in anywhere else sooner. First of all, this Dental Office is All About Your Money. I started my journey with Aspen Dental in Wooster, Ohio in 2022 because I needed extractions, an upper partial and lower denture. The Office Manager was rude to me once when I needed to reschedule an appointment for a cleaning and dental exam. She basically scolded me as if I were a chil. The partial dug up into my upper gum line making it very painful when I wore it with my lower denture in, which by the way, no matter how much and many different kinds of adhesive I used, and invested in, I never even made it 1/4 of the way into my meal or even a beverage. At my last cleaning and exam in Spring of 2025, I was told by a technician that is why they push their patients to get implants. Wow. My denture was warrantied for 8 years, even though it didn't matter because the dentist told me there was nothing else they could do to help make my denture fit properly except for implants which still would not solve the problem of creating a solid seal and a strong seal. Last August I found a small family dentistry miles away from Wooster and their priorities are patient care, kindnes, concerns, questions, and all around a wonderful experience with an Exceptional Dentist and a Wonderful entire Staff! Wnen my new dentist she saw the denture made by Aspen very poorly and stated that the denture and partial would have never fit comfortably and correct , because the denture was poorly made and was too large for my mouth. Enough said. My new Family Dentistry treats me like family and is not about taking your money which is what I went through with Aspen Dental in Wooster. The entire process at my new Family Dentistry was done very thoroughly and Aspen did not do half of the work as my new dentist did for me. I love my new entirely natural and beautiful smile and most of all, I can finally eat pretty much everything I wasn't able to eat with the old denture and partial. My new Dentist is wayyy more up to date with the entire process from start to finish when creating dentures that fit properly. People, please beware of these "Large Dental Corporations" Aspen totally made me unhappy, and they do not honor and hold true to their "Slogen/Mission Statement. in essence, overall Aspen Dental in Wooster, Ohio screwed me COMPLETELY over. SCAM, SKETCHY AND SHADY! Every time I used to go to Aspen I felt very uncomfortable and rushed. I was never properly numbed for procedures and could feel the drilling in my teeth during fillings. One of my fillings even fell out within the week I got it. I went back a few weeks ago to get back on track with my teeth as I now have good insurance to help with the costs. I was told by the doctor that I needed a root canal with a crown on one tooth, a crown on another (that was most likely going to also need a root canal), 2 fillings, as well as Arestin on MANY of my teeth. The Arestin is not covered by insurance and it totaled over $2,000 just for the Arestin they claimed my teeth needed. I was also informed that I could not get regular cleanings with them UNTIL I had this thousand dollar Arestin treatment performed. I did not know any better and blindly trusted that they had my best interest at heart initially, so I followed their instructions to sit down and sign up for dental insurance to cover the insane costs I was quoted. I was not given a break down of the price until after I had signed on the payment plan. There was a $100 toothbrush included in this bill that I had never discussed with any of the staff and did not want. After going over the costs with my husband, he did some research on Arestin and we strongly believed we needed a second opinion. (especially before committing to such an outrageous bill/procedures that we had little knowledge on) My husband even tried to call and get more information on why I needed this Arestin but was told he would get a call back and did not speak to anyone until he called himself after waiting a few days with no response. When he called, the lady on the phone was very short with him and did not explain anything about the Arestin, which was what he was calling to ask about. During this time, I decided to schedule a second opinion at another dentist that my husband's coworker recommended. At my appointment, the doctor reviewed Aspen's XRays, took some new ones and informed me that I needed ZERO Arestin treatment, ZERO root canals, and ZERO crowns. All I need are 2 fillings. This particular practice even uses the Arestin treatment themselves but showed me that my teeth were not even close to the pocket measurements they would need to be in order to need Arestin. Aspen claimed some of my FRONT teeth needed this treatment and those ones are my healthiest with the smallest pocket measurements. The staff at my new dentist were upset on my behalf for how badly I was lied to/scammed just to get thousnads of dollars out of me. When they found out my previous dentist was Aspen, one lady said "We never bad mouth other denist practices but the one we really do not like is Aspen" which told me all I needed to know. My bill went from over $3,000+ to about $100 just by switching from a scam dentist to one who is honest and actually cares about their clients' teeth. My new dentist also just is a more relaxing and inviting environment. I used to like the dentist and going to Aspen made me genuinely terrified to the point of needing anxiety medication. One visit at my new dentist and I already feel more safe and in good hands/less anxious. I was even given a generous sample from my new dentist of a toothpaste that has almost completely cured the sensitivity I initially visited Aspen for. No crown needed, just a simple suggestion of a toothpaste. I also know many peopel with bad stories from their time at Aspen and I will never go back. I will tell everyone I can about my experience because it is clear they only care about money and not about helping their clients' dental hygiene. read more

Treated my mother and filled her tooth that had a chip on the anterior, aka tooth #9, fell out in 2 days. Still charged her to come back and didnt get it replaced, and she is still on the hook. This place gets paid more the more they charge... rip off, can't keep their docs employed, different dentist every time and it seems that they are not paid unless they over treat patients. I had x-ray done then they took me to an exam room.they came in with this estimate to repair my teeth.my teeth really aren't in bad shape cuz I always tried to take care of them.i was so shocked it didn't occur to me until after I left they didn't even clean my teeth. Horrible experience. I Do Not recommend this facility. Staff and Doctor were nice, however, a chain of events like spraying water in my mouth without the vacuum caused me to have to sit up because I was choking, and nearly swallowed the cap she tried gluing on my back tooth, plus the doctor kept hitting my front teeth with her instrument, and when I stopped her to tell her she was hitting my teeth, she dismissed me and said, "You're teeth are fine." Then my insurance company was billed with the wrong code! I am fortunate enough to have two insurance plans, but will continue to pay out of pocket and not use the secondary for peace of mind knowing the Dentist I choose truly cares...which is Dr. Brad Welsh in Millersburg, Ohio. read more

You know it's a bad business when you are finding yourself walking out in the middle of your appointment. My husband warned me this place was a nightmare, but I guess had to see it to believe it. They've made one too many unprofessional mistakes for me to list them all here, but what really irked me was the complete lack of customer care. One minute the dr was looking at my teeth with the dental assistant, and literally one second later they've both vanished with no warning and without anyone telling me anything about anything. Perhaps they thought I could read minds. After maybe 20 min of waiting without knowing what I was even waiting for, I had to walk around and ask a bunch of people what was going on... that's what you want on your dentist appointment! To have to walk around and beg someone to treat you!! The dental assistant was baffled and honestly quite rude when I found her and asked what was going on. I went in for dentures. I was treated very well by the receptionist and Madison who did most of my work. Also the dentist Kirk or kirt, forgot his name was awsome. But the mngr Jaclyn was a hotel are. Very rude wouldn't let you speak. Talked over you when you tried to ask a simple ? I wanted a refund n she said I had to wait to get an approval. I didn't wait for you to get an approval to get my money.i tried to tell her I had 6 months to get my money bk because they don't fit.they are worse than my pair I've had for 12 yrs. Won't stay in no matter what I do. It has only been 3 weeks n I've been there 3 or 4 times for ajustment. Nothing is working. I have that right to get my money bk but she could only yell at me in front of her co workers. I guess she thought she was being kool. To me she showed her true colors. No people skills what so ever. There treatment of patients is not very good if there initial product does not come out well in regards to dentures... They are real big on blaming the patient for mistakes they make or just naturally over time your gums shrink and the dentures become practically unwearable because of them being to big.... The dentist becomes "testy" and boarderline mean when there becomes a problem.... They say they will give me my money back, but between the financing, and insurance this ordeal is becoming a rather large mess... Very, very frusterated with these people...... read more
