Troy Stone is one of the better counselors I've been to. He is honest, calls you on your BS, relatable, and has plenty of examples. He will chat about your day-to-day stuff but he always pulls it back to - what is your goal and what is the science behind it (love language, attachment theory, trauma, etc.). Other MFT counselors I've gone to barely touch on such subjects which greatly hinders long term fixes - to fix what is wrong today you must understand where you came from. If you simply talk about what pissed you off last week and never touch on why or what happened to you in the past that predisposed you to those emotions... then you're just spinning your wheels.

I would not trust this firm or any therapist within it. I will finish this life without therapy because therapists and their firms cannot be trusted. The day after the 'session gone bad' I was telephoned by the office manager who stated Core does not mediate breakups. I believe because I told the office manager angrily that she f'd it up (she used the f word right back at me fyi) if she was the trainer of Danica, I AM NOW FIRED AS A PATIENT. Yep, I lost my therapist because of something that was not my fault in my opinion. I have a lawyer on this and I am not through with my pursuit of how a business claiming to better clients' psyches is able to make them worse off. I saw Bill 1-2 times a week since March this year! Go see him there but don't step on management or office manager toes!! Bill IS THE BEST! This girl will stay far away from core balance institute for the rest of her life if she wasn't already 86'd through no fault of her own. I've received zero explanations other than it's in the best interest of their firm that my counseling there has ended! I will survive this traumatic ending too without closure.

For over two weeks, I repeatedly tried to get a clear answer about whether I could receive a short bridge prescription to get me to an upcoming appointment with a new provider. When it became clear a refill might not be possible, I specifically asked for guidance on how to safely stop the medication. That guidance was never provided. Being left without direction regarding mental health treatment is unacceptable. I chose to leave this practice because I did not feel listened to by Dr. Westbrock. Diagnoses were mentioned without explanation, alternative causes were not meaningfully explored, and my concerns were largely dismissed. When I asked about further evaluation, I was told it would require several additional appointments and approximately $800 in fees, after already paying for the visit I was attending. The process felt more focused on billing than patient care. After securing a new provider, I contacted Lighthouse weeks in advance because I knew I would run out of medication before that appointment. I made it clear that I understood if a refill was not possible and that I was simply asking for guidance. Despite multiple attempts, my requested were ignored by Dr. Westbrock. Even after being told by the medical assistants this bridge refill should have been possible. Lighthouse medical assistants have reached out and apologized on behalf of the team. They stated the issue was with Dr. Westbrock and said that if I wanted a bridge now, three weeks later, they could forward me to the director. I appreciate the medical assistants who attempted to help every time I called. However, this situation should have been escalated to leadership much earlier, and at the end of the day Dr. Westbrock is employed by this office and his actions reflect the office. Overall, this experience left me feeling dismissed and unsupported at a critical moment in my care. The only reason I chose 2 stars instead of 1 was the medical assistants consistently trying their best. It is disappointing they are not listened to by their superiors. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision when choosing providers.

I hear back from them about the remaining balance. It sounds to me that they are not on top of the co-pay or remaining balance due. It shouldn't take months. I would be sure to be very clear when it comes to the payment due so that you do not get screwed over as I did. I hope they have gotten better since my situation.

He gets into power struggles with patients and is very slow.
