I understand that tree trimming is necessary to maintain a functioning power grid, but Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hacking up and removing trees that aren't close to the power lines. The supervisor Asplundh Tree Expert explained that they have to cut anything within 10 feet of the lines but this guy 50 feet above the lines, cutting branches growing upward. Typical parasite of a company using the taxpayers dollar against them when working for the local power companies. They come in try to do the job as cheap and quick as possible. They will rut your land all up between trucks and tracked equipment and leave it that way. They will dump other properties trucks of chips on yours even though no one said that was ok. They will cut down things that are healthy and have been there for a 100 years. They will help spread tree diseases by trimming and climbing in spikes. They will ruin your deer hunting as they will be out all day cutting when you think you are going to be in your own yard harvesting food. O communication from the office to the crews, both point the finger at eachother. There is no accountability for these people. read more

Asplundh Tree Services did an outstanding job at our property in South Lyon MI. They worked around our pond and made sure no limbs were a problem for the electrical wires. Polite. Hard working people! The cleanup was outstanding! read more

If you see this company coming tell them to leave, you are better off hiring a better company then these guys including if they are working for someone else. they are the worst company we have ever had to deal with. Not only did they damage property, they have left our property a disaster. Equipment was also left on our property over the holiday weekend and we had had no yard to celebrate with friends and family. We also have a huge pile of branches left in our yard which is unsightly and we suppose to be taken care of today, which it was not. Looking for a new job? Don't go here. They fired my fiancé (line supervisor) who was with them for 1.5 years for "looking for better employment." Why was he looking? Because he was promised promotions and didn't get them, was not at the correct pay rate for his position, had many weeks where his pay was incorrect (still not corrected) among many other unprofessional behaviors from supervisors. Even I open firing him, he did not get his vacation pay or his wages paid that were screwed up. And corporate will not do anything about it. BEWARE. read more

My husband was hired for the 'bottom level' job at Asplundh. He was never told where he'd be working till the night before and after about 3 weeks of being employed by them he stopped getting work, he would call or text his supervisor who would say 'let me check where I'll be sending you' then never get back to him. My husband would try again to call and the boss would say 'I'll tell you tomorrow' and when my husband would follow up again he would get ignored. It's been a month now with no contact from them, they haven't told him he's fired or laid off. No contact at all. Very unprofessional. Don't work there. read more
