I love this masjid! It's a beautiful and super-welcoming mosque. They're open from 1pm to Isha, Mon - Fri. They welcome all Muslims. Women pray behind the men, and, family members are welcomed to sit together, in the community room, during events. read more

This is the mosque with the gold dome by FAU. While I don't really attend mosque services too often, I have been here enough to get a good idea of it. It is not a very huge mosque; I would say there are 80-100 people on Friday prayers. The congregation is very diverse-about half are Arab professionals, and the rest are converts, Bengali gas station people, students, etc. It is kept extremely clean and well-organized. If you are late for prayers at the other mosque in Boca, you can probably be on time here. The khutba (sermon) starts around 1:20ish, and the prayers start around 1:50/2:00 pm (update: as of 10/09/2015, Juma is from 1:15 to 1:45 to accomodate working people). Both men and women pray in one enormous hall (the women are not in a separate room like in many other mosques). After prayers, falafel and snacks are sold in the dining area. For Maghrib (evening prayers), there are generally very few people (like 5), and sometimes the mosque is even closed at that time. I would say that this mosque is quite welcoming; it is more of a moderate mosque. For example, they have a hamper with skirts and scarves at the entrance in case women want to borrow them at prayers (most mosques would discourage women from showing up at the mosque without their proper attire in the first place). Some of my superconservative Pakistani friends were kind of taken aback by praying in the same room as men, but if you are not bothered by that, it is a nice mosque to check out. read more

Falafel and Shawarma sandwiches offered of Friday at 2:00 PM are the best you can find any where. They are home made and prepared by volunteers with aim at serving the best food. Friendly and welcoming environment for people of all faiths and walks of life. Generally, once a month there are Saturday family pot luck dinners at no charge for all walk ins. These are great opportunities to taste ethnic food literally prepared at home and brought here to be shared with the rest of the community and any and all visitors that walk in. read more
