I'd been diagnosed with aortic valve regurgitation or stenosis about 30 years ago. The previous…read morecardiologist I'd been seeing on a regular basis told me "it wasn't bad enough yet" to qualify for the surgery. I was riding my bicycle, lost consciousness during the ride, and crashed the bicycle as a result. I arrived at hospital unconscious with several broken bones, etc. after an ambulance ride. After getting through rehab from the injuries, I was able to get an appointment at Cardiovascular Experts. After a thorough exam including echocardiogram and heart catheterization we attributed the loss of consciousness that resulted in the bicycle crash to that valve having failed sufficiently and was now "bad enough" for corrective surgery. A TAVR was arranged for, and afterwards several weeks of cardiac rehab. Now, at nearly 80 years of age, I'm back to nearly "normal" activity, including riding the bicycle. I don't have enough good words in my vocabulary to say about the provider team at Cardiovascular Experts

Dr Walt Watkins, personal friend, recommended Dr. Rajesh Dave. An appointment followed three days later. I was admitted to Ortenzio Heart Clinic, Holy Spirit Hospital where Dr. Dave performed the impossible multiple stent placements in less than one hour. That was 2012, I have been Dr Dave's patient ever since requiring several subsequent stent placements all successful! I shall always be his patient until I can no longer make the two-hour trip. I have seen countless medical professionals in my time but never met one as thorough and knowledgeable as Dr. Dave.

It was okay once I got an appointment at least 6 months after my first incident of skin cancer and…read moreMohs surgery- the Mohs surgeon at Hershey Med, Dr. Cartee, was great but as far as any other scheduling or patient relations the Camp Hill Specialties office isn't one I'd recommend. I would have thought a follow up appointment and my first full screening would have been scheduled asap after the surgery but they didn't seem to think it was necessary. Months later and with no further reminders or outreach, I had an appointment with a nurse practitioner who was okay, but after another appointment the following year with zero reminders I decided to look around for another practice. I'd also say their patient portal isn't the greatest. Coworkers were going to Dermatology Associates of York and liked it, so I was able to schedule an appointment at their Mechanicsburg office with an actual MD dermatologist and have been going there for the past couple years. That's where you want to go if you need serious dermatology care, they're great, great patient outreach and response, great patient portal. I realized I hadn't had a complete skin cancer screening before I went there. Oh, and I one point I actually tried to schedule an appointment with the family practice that's connected to the Penn State specialties office, but similar issues, they didn't have any actual doctors who could see me for months, just physician assistants or NPs- I'm sorry if this sounds "elitist" but I'm over 50 years old and now with a history of cancer so I wanna see a real doctor, not an almost doctor who has to have their work checked and approved by real doctors. I'm now a patient at the Pinnacle/UPMC family practice in Camp Hill. I'd recommend them too.

Half the staff are unprofessional and rude. Check in and checkout are a disaster and are…read moreinefficient due to lack of communication between front and back end. They play the blame game, blaming each other for any errors that slow down patient care. They will not apologize for their errors. I would not recommend coming here if your health matters to you because they have no respect for their patients or their health. They make patients jump through hoops trying to schedule procedures. Then they are rude to the patient when they try to clarify misinformation because the doctors and nurses are ordering different things because no one knows WTH they are doing here.
