This has been one of the worst insurance claim experiences I've ever had after an accident. There is a complete lack of communication. Calls and emails go unanswered for days, and when you finally reach someone, you get inconsistent information or promises that are never followed through. I was told I would receive a rental assistance for five days, only for that to suddenly change to two days with no clear explanation--while my car is still sitting at the shop waiting on approvals. The claims process is extremely slow, with delays on supplements that have already been submitted. Everything feels disorganized and poorly managed. Customer service is also very unprofessional. On multiple occasions, it has been difficult to even communicate properly during calls due to background noise and distractions, which only adds to the frustration when you're trying to resolve an urgent situation. Overall, this experience has been filled with delays, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. Dealing with an accident is already stressful--this company made it significantly worse. I and my wife have had these guys a few months. This month, however, when we informed them of an address change, we were told of an increase by $50+. But we were told it would take effect next month. So they took our prior payment. This week, we got a letter informing us we had to pay the remaining amount plus a late fee by June 7 or the policy would be cancelled. Today, I called and was told that in spite of what we were told, we still owed that amount. I was hit by one of their insured who happened to be a very nice young lady she just made a mistake. The experience with Erika Gaither and Assurance America has been awful. You cannot get her on the phone and you will need to leave messages and be extremely persistent to get her to get back to you. When she does- prepare yourself for entitlement and attitude. The first thing they will do will be to low Ball estimate what it will take to repair your car followed by telling you that they will reimburse you for the car rental verbally over the phone like your chums and you should trust them. This company is a joke. My husband was hit by a car over a year ago by a lady that had/has this insurance. He was putting on his tag when the the car started rolling backwards and pinned him between her car and his SUV. If he had been turned another way he would have been parallelized. He almost lost his leg and we fought like crazy to get that company to pay for his medical and time off work. We had to sue the company but with COVID and the company not wanting to do anything we had to settle only because we needed what we was offered however we didn't want to but we had to do what we had to do at that time. This all happened October 8, 2021. Now this other situation happened a week or so ago. This guy ran over my husband's motorcycle while it was parked where he always parked it by our camera system. The guy who ran over it is our neighbor and he has this company. We are fighting with them again. Can't get an answer when we call they keep us on hold, answer but not say anything, hang up on us, or call close to closing time. We have called several times back and they would say we will call within the next business day. We also got a litter in the mail saying that we will have to pay storage fees soon. This company is a joke and shouldn't be in business anymore. The guy was drunk. He admitted to the cop that he did hit the bike plus we have it on video and he was telling his buddies all about it. She has only returned ONE of my calls, and I was only able to get through to her ONCE out of the multitudes of calls to try to confirm she has gotten her insured's official statement/acceptance of blame for the accident. First off, by way of a few snarky email exchanges with an adjuster who is clearly offended by my frequent attempts to get updates (how dare I insist that she do her job!) I find out I'm not even on the policy! My car is, but the sole driver listed a) doesn't drive, and b) has no license. They just own one of the cars. So when she rudely insists that I be added to the policy I got to ask how and why they're putting multiple vehicles on a policy for someone who doesn't even have a damn valid permit! Aside from rudeness, they're dumb as heck. They've attempted to send documents without actually attaching them to the email. The main issue is just that they're slow as all get out and show no motivation to help you through a claim. The other party is at fault here, but I usually experience my own insurance getting the ball rolling and taking care of me and then suing the other for the cost. ATTN:  Claim Manager I am writing to see when a manager will respond to our concern and if we can be reassigned to a different claims adjuster.  The current adjuster, Taylor Johnson, has made notes and stated that she cannot get in touch with the driver for her statement.  However, every time we have reached out to the driver, she had responded immediately.  We have even made efforts to call three-way, but Ms. Johnson will not answer or respond in a timely manner even after telling her we would call right back (Nothing).  Ms. Johnson has stated that emails were the best method of communication, but she does not respond to written communication either. The follow-up and communication efforts of Taylor Johnson, the assigned claims adjuster, have been awful.  She has been neglectful in her response to our calls and emails. The company has no regard for my son's inability to have transportation while away from home at med school.   My son was hit by one of your insured on November 24 and the company has neglected to provide a resolution toward the repair of our vehicle. Multiple times we were promised that our case would be elevated to a manager and someone other than Ms. Taylor would respond in 24 hours. This has been a blatant lie and no one from management has called. This company insured me for 11 months! My payments came out of my account automatically so I was never late! Someone stole my vehicle and I took proper steps with doing everything they asked! Unfortunately they totaled my vehicle, but that's not the problem! I have by far the worst adjuster; Tyesha Oliver! Off the back she profiled me due to something that happened in 2014! Although I knew she was profiling me I was still cooperative!
