Mistakes happen so I wasn't concerned. While checking in we discussed my insurance and copay and the fact it was a medicare advantage plan confirming Dr Hammond was in network. We had a conversation about the copay being $20 or no copay due to Dr Hammond being in network. She assured me she would run my insurance and let me know. The issue occurred when I was checking out and scheduling a follow-up appointment. I was told I owed $200! According to his staff Medicare does not cover the initial exam, only the adjustments. After the fact, I was told "This is for all Medicare patients and not limited to only my Humana Advantage Plan". That being the case, she knew the exam was not covered when I checked in and didn't mention it. This was not a miscommunication but a lack of communication and I feel it was intentionally misleading. Needless to say, I canceled my follow-up appointment and would not recommend this clinic.

But then, the lady accused me of unpaid bills from mid 2025. That was the time when the chiropractor was giving me ultrasound treatments that I paid about $800 for to relieve back pain. He said he would include an adjustment with those procedures. And this definitely never made it back to the billing people. I stopped going to Fulk Chiropractic in April because of the huge headaches they were causing me. The Chiropractor I had been with moved his practice far away. She refused to adjust me. She asked me why I looked the way I did as she communicated a bill of 120. with no adjustment included. I told her I wondered why I was being charged the amount and if I was being over charged. She suggested I leave. She said I was argumentative and stated that I argued with the receptionist, hung up, and called back. I tried my best to explain she was mistaken and it wasn't me. The receptionist was pleasant and I reciprocated. I had a pinched nerve. She made me stand for an Xray in excruciating pain. She went on and on about not adjusting me. She said something about me coming back Tuesday. The receptionist or whomever manned the front desk. Put gel on my back and used a machine that looked like an ultra sound. It did little to nothing. I left still in excurciating pain. It cost 49 dollars for an xray. 21 dollars for the xray to be read. 49 more dollars for the gel on my back and about 7 minutes of a machine that looked like an ultra sound. I made an appt for the next day to get adjusted which was going to cost more money. They wouldn't tell me how much. I left Friday 9/4/26 still in excruciating pain. Dr. Denton treated me so badly and uncaring I was afraid to get an adjustment from her. But I was so desparate and at her mercy. I made an appt. and hoped she would adjust me. I went to the joint Dr. the next morning 9/5/26 after they called me. I registered with them on line Friday.
