Incredible Experience at Mathnasium of Roseville South!…read more Last Sunday, I brought my daughter and her best friend to Mathnasium of Roseville South for the first time, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The owner, Divya, hosted a special Mother's Day party that really made the day feel extra memorable. We took some fun photos, the adults got to relax and mingle, and the kids had an absolute blast playing math-themed games that were both fun and educational. What really stood out to me was how inspired I felt after hearing Divya's own math journey -- her passion for math and education really shines through in everything she does. It made me reflect on how important math is in my own child's education -- not just as an academic subject, but as a tool for building confidence, problem-solving skills, and long-term success. After Mathnasium, we went to a jump park and got ice cream -- and yet, when I asked the kids what their favorite part of the day was, they both said Mathnasium! That's pretty incredible. My oldest started Kumon when he was in first grade. At first, he found it challenging to keep up…read morewith all the packets. A few months into Kumon and being consistent with keeping up with the packets, he has learned to make it something he just has do everyday. Eventually, getting through Kumon daily became second nature and he just does it with minimal assistance or reminding. He's currently in 2nd grade and reading long chapter books and doing 2 digits division and multiplications. My kindergarten just started Kumon a month ago and I enjoyed spending time with him to get him through the packets. Surprisingly, he hasn't complained much. He's just excited to learn how to read just like his brother. Ms. Pandya has been so patient with our family to work through some schedule conflicts. She replies promptly to emails and really helped us achieve the most benefits out of Kumon for our children. This is my post-pandemic Kumon review but please be sure to read my earlier reviews, as I have had…read morea lot to say about this enrichment program over the years. For starters, it feels great to be enrolled again after a lengthy break. We started out with the kids attending Kumon and just going for it. When they were leaps and bounds ahead of their grade levels and peers, we scaled it back to summer enrollment. Then COVID happened and now we are finally back again, but to be honest? I wish we never stopped! Fear grips us all differently and unfortunately the pandemic had us not doing much in the way of being out. On that note, Mrs P and staff are amazing about how they are handling things with the children at the center. They are spacing out sessions (which need to be reserved in advance), and masks are not required but gently encouraged. There is also now the option for the kids to do their sessions from home via Zoom. During our time away both of my kiddos have slowly back peddled academically and that makes me sad but what it also does is prove how effective the Kumon program truly is. Mrs P's own children are shining examples of what programs like this combined with parent involvement can result in. I have watched them do the program, work at the center with their mother, graduate high school at the top of their classes, and both be accepted into an Ivy League University. Everything about Mrs P, her family and the Kumon staff INSPIRES us. We feel so grateful that they welcome us back year after year and we will always highly recommend this method of academic enrichment.
