Have worked with this location for over 8 years and made many purchases. On this occasion, I brought another person in to upgrade their phone. An employee matter of factly told us she was in training while finishing up with the customer before us and to be patient with her--we had not said a word but had just walked through the door. It also came across that she was trying to impress the woman training her. Both employees appeared not to be tuned in to their customers which could be construed as belittling or disrespectful. This behavior was manifested by the amount of personal chatter with one another which took precedent over making customers feel appreciated/respected enough to spend time explaining new products to the level of their customer's understanding.
Their volume was casual and audible through out the store. I don't need to know how much more time they needed to work, what their personal health issues were, who just texted them, etc.. When finally wrapping up with my guest, they didn't say thank you for making a purchase but rather my guest told them thank you for their help.
It seems that both employees could benefit from training on how to handle themselves in a professional business environment. read more
