The store is well-stocked with a large variety of items at decent prices. They have many imported items that you won't find in other supermarkets (dried mushrooms from Japan, hot sauces from the USA, etc). They also have some nice wines so this can be a one-stop shopping experience when preparing for your next dinner party.

I was actually shocked by the fall in quality, cleanliness and variety: several food freezers were broken down and had yellow caution tape on their lids; many items I used to purchase here were unavailable; the store had a bad odor that definitely made me not want to buy any meat here; and the parking lot was full o potholes. Pão de Açucar is a chain of supermarkets, which is probably not going anywhere, but it really seems like this location is getting ready to close.
