Entschuldigung, Ich spreche kein Deutsch! My boyfriend and I are living in Elberfeld and have passed this place a few times while walking to the city center. It always LOOKS very nice but there is almost no one inside. Last week we decided to try it, and we were very impressed! It was around 20:15 on a Wednesday night and there were only 4 people (2 tables) there besides us. We started with the Atelier salad and it was great - very fresh and flavorful, and the croutons seemed homemade (a simple touch that makes a big difference!) My boyfriend got baked salmon (lachs) that had some type of breading/crust which gave it a perfect little crunch. It was on top of some cooked vegetables and a delicious, buttery sauce. It was SO good! I Also had salmon, but mine was pieces of salmon mixed with tagliatelle pasta, spinach, and cherry tomatoes. It was fresh and tasty and a very big portion - I had the leftovers for lunch 2 days in a row! I hope business picks up soon at Atelier - the great food and friendly service deserve many more customers! My boyfriend and I will definitely be dining there again :) read more
