I mostly go for plays that the Athens Community Theater puts on. The talent they attract is amazing, and I've enjoyed several shows here. Parking is easy, except on really packed shows when you might take a pro-tip and park across the street at the college. Tickets are reasonable (usually $20-30), and the venue is really intimate and comfortable. There really isn't a 'bad seat in the house.' The Arts Center and Area Council For The Arts also have tons of classes, exhibits, concerts, etc. Check it out, I'm cutting this short bc I've got to get in to see the show. read more
