I called and spoke with Alessia and she was very patience answering to all my questions. We are interested in learning ballroom dance and she said we can tell her what we wanna learn at the time of the lesson. The location we went was 121 Weaverly in Pasadena. The location was easy to find (10 mins walking distance from old Pasdena town) and my mom chose to learn Waltz. Alessia was our instructor and she was trying to teach us as much as she can within the hour time. She was nice, professional, and patience with all of us. It was a very pleasant experience for all of us.

The small class sizes mean personal attention and getting to know fellow students. The environment is supportive while also enourgaging you to challenge yourself. You can see the motivation of the students, motivation driven by a far more motivated owner/instructor - Emily. I had a front row seat, far right. Not an ideal seat for a show, but I was uniquely positioned because I could see behind the curtain. I could see Emily. Most of the time she had her typical serious demeanor. But every once in a while, I'd see a smile. It wasn't for anyone. No one was looking at her, the girls were performing. But in that moment, I could see her joy, her dedication, her passion. What a beautiful smile. And what joy she's given our daughters - and certainly to many others. I'd post a picture, but "NO PICTURES ALLOWED!"... so I don't have any. Highly recommended. Plus people in the Chinese dance classes are obnoxious, trying to correct your moves on the side while bullying you. They pretty much act like they are the teacher! It's pretty messed up in this learning environment where the teacher doesn't teach and that the students trying to show off their mediocre dance skills I don't think I can tolerate this kind of toxic learning environment much longer. I'm planning to quit after their upcoming performance.
