There is not enough staff in some of the staff that they have don't want to do the work. It takes forever for a call like to be answered. My food is always cold like they just took it out of the refrigerator. I have yet to receive a CPAP machine that I am supposed to have. They were gonna get one for me to use. Why am here it is just so much wrong going here. I have yet to see anyone from administration or even the head nurses, I have ran across a few nurses and support staff workers that do care and try to pick up the slack the others leave behind. there are not enough nurses on staff for the workload and for this place to be a non-for-profit facility is awful. I can say one thing it does not smell and it seems to be clean, but if I want to eat hot food I have to DoorDash my food in which I cannot afford to keep doing this, but I am in the care of this facility and therefore to beginning three hot meals, hot meals a day my Physical Therapy is almost nonexistent. It's only maybe 15 or 20 minutes a day and nothing on weekend so I lay in the bed because I cannot walk. My only constellation is. I know that God is with me wherever I go. God said he will never leave me nor forsake me. this place needs to get better even in administration on Dow because it's their job to make sure that all the wheels are running well. They suck for letting all this happen and I know I'm not the only one to complain about this even the substitutes they have some of the meals I cannot eat are cold when they are served to me I don't understand the quality of care is Lacking in areas where it shouldn't be lacking. I am still waiting on some of my medication to come in and I have been here a week. The pictures that they have on here of the happy smile faces our false and misleading. This place is given a one star all the way around even from the state of Illinois it seems that administration and the owner of this place give the bare minimum and everything just to get a check and not make sure the residents are OK as I said I'm still waiting to see the DON and if she will show up this week.

The therapist in Florida vetted this clinic for my TMJ. I cannot say enough good things about the PT (Brad) and his staff. Their professionalism, kindness and vast knowledge of the human body. Brad takes a hands on approach with his patients. He is also very positive and encouraging. He has used dry needling on my jaw. It sounds painful, but Brad is gentle and explains what he is doing during the treatment. I've seen Brad work with a diverse group of patients. He clearly has a broad range of experience with all types of patient injuries. In IL, you don't need a referral from a Dr. Direct access allows patients to skip the middle man. It makes it easier to make an appointment. By the way, the headaches are gone. Highly recommend.

After two imaging visits, my doctor said the next stop was physical therapy. I ended up at this facility based on a combination of location, good reviews, and the recommendations of friends. My imaging results seemed complicated, and PT was a new experience for me, but the staff quickly set me at ease. Ellen was my primary PT (Abby covered for her a few times). An initial consultation led to a therapy plan, later modified along the way based upon my feedback. I was given exercises for home, and an app that provided videos of the exercises. So my two therapy sessions per week were supported by 20-30 minutes of home exercises 12-13x per week. For a long time, the going was slow, and I wasn't sure I really was making progress. But Ellen kept me focused on each step, with a balance of correction and kindness that worked for me. My symptoms continue to subside a little bit more each week. Ellen gave me a recommendation for a great surgeon and rehabbed me back to better than new. I can't recommend this place enough. Ann has the patience of a saint. Emily, the other therapist, is great as well but has very questionable taste in music. You simply won't receive better care anywhere. True experts.

After…read more9 months she was nowhere near 100% so another salesperson said it would be more like 18 to 24 months. Keep in mind I already paid a large sum for the 9 months just to be told it would be much longer and cost a lot more. I kept doing the activities with my child although very little improvement. I decided I would enroll my other child as she has ADHD which they say they can help. This child they said 9-12 months. She did it for 12 months and we thought some things improved. When we finally assessed she was at 100% on all things but 1 or 2. So we decided to walk her off the program. Both salespeople told me that once a brain levels up (so to speak), it will stay there--my concern was we balance things and then it become unbalanced again. Their statement was not true. I took my first child back a year after she had stopped and found she dropped on many of the categories she had achieved 100% and scored higher on some areas which is odd since she improved without the program. My second & most recent child just ended and I can already see some behaviors that had improved return. Keep in mind as she balanced her brain, she ended up on more medications and more details to her school IEP. Staff is always nice but definitely seems to be a sales scheme. My children's doctor told me she had 2 other patients try it and it did not do anything and kids were still on meds but maybe a lower dose. She thought maybe the families did not walk off correctly but I let her know, it is just not a valuable program as I have binders of tracking and following all guidelines with the center confirming along the way and neither child gained anything from it--instead we lost a lot of money.

They were out of sync and when he would hear something, it would be a serious delay before he said he realized it. All kinds of other problems were happening. I couldn't talk to him, I couldn't keep him from exploding - it was like he was Autistic . My wife and I have had him to many specialists, tested, we've spent over 11K just trying to desperately find an answer. This was out last ditch effort. We tried the Brain Balance program (But only after finding a groupon that give us $200 off the assessment). The 12 weeks program was a real trial for us. But after week 5 I saw major changes. My son actually came up to me on Sunday morning and said "good morning daddy" and asked for something to eat. Usually I get a temper tantrum if I dont IMMEDIATELY get up and follow him. But this time I said ok and give me minute and he said in reply " ok daddy - thank you ". THAT WAS IT! No screaming. NO crying . NO hitting (that happens alot. My wife and I both cried. He was getting better. Long story short = The program helped him to develop his right brain so as to "balance" out the brain and sync/ help him process what he is hearing, seeing, how he interacts with other children (he never could before), and a lot more. Basically fine tuned the brain so timing and collaboration happens normally. This is not for the faint of heart. The 3 days a week program and the driving to Edwardsville was a real trial and its expensive. It costs $6000 and its like therapy for the entire family. They do a lot of diet and nutritional changes too - based on blood tests. So that was not fun. But it was well worth it. Brain Balance works and my family is growing now. We're working on new challenges, but it solved a lot of problems.

Within days: Untreated reported UTI symptoms (UA delayed multiple days), no wound dressing changes on surgical site despite nurses questioning it repeatedly, denied basic shower due to scheduling, hostile/dismissive staff response to my concerns (e.g., assistant DON said "didn't understand why I was calling"). By March 19, she was incoherent/hallucinating with sepsis, large abscess (12x7 inches), pus in catheter, 100°F fever--sent to hospital. Readmitted March 20. This rapid decline to life-threatening condition feels like gross neglect. Filed complaint with Illinois Dept of Public Health. Proceed with caution--check recent inspections and talk to multiple families.

I can't recommend the Meridian Village Reach rehab facility. My wife spent more than a week there…read morerecovering from an emergency partial hip replacement. While she was there, she showed multiple signs of a UTI, possibly from catheterization during her surgery. I mentioned this several times and was ignored until I showed staff positive results from a home UTI test. They then agreed to send out a urine sample for test, but never got back to us with the results. Subsequent testing at BJC confirmed a UTI and my wife was put on antibiotics. Conjecture by a friend is that Meridian didn't want to report an infection to the state and was simply waiting for her to be discharged rather than taking action. Home care would have been better and safer for my wife.

The REACH program at Meridian is awesome, they are so friendly to my grandma who has had to be here…read moretwice now, they offer activities, bring therapy dogs, bring her snacks sometimes, at first she wanted to go home but now she kind of likes it here, she is still wanting to go home but at the same time she is comfortable here, they are quick at bringing her medicine when she isn't feeling good, the only thing I would recommend improving on is the therapy department here, there is a BIG lack of communication and don't always do the best job they either overwork her too much or they don't do enough at times, but other than that I think if you have to stay here for a short time for physical rehab I think it's a good place to go to. I can't vouch for the other living arraignments or their wait time for placement but as far as the REACH program I say excellent! Thank you for helping my grandma during this temporary hard time
