Absolutely ridiculous wait time for completion of a nuclear cardiac stress test. 5 hours spent for a service that could've easily been rendered in 3 hours or less! My appointment was scheduled at 9:30am. I arrived early. I waited 1.5 hours before the IV was inserted and medication injected. I was then told to return to the waiting room where I waited over an hour before pictures were taken. I was left in the room where the machine took pictures of my heart for nearly 15 minutes after the machine signaled completion. I watched countless workers walk by the room. Not one person acknowledged me lying on the table. No one advised someone was on their way to assist, why I was still lying on the table or of an apology for the unnecessary wait. When the assistant finally came to the room, she told me to follow her to a room where the treadmill test would occur. As soon as we approached the room, she told me it was not prepared and to have a seat in yet another waiting area. When I took my seat, a patient shared she had been there over 6 hours. Others were there just as long! There is more staff than customer care. Workers walked around from every direction. Not smiling, not greeting patients, on their cellphones, eating/drinking and chatting with one another. There was no sense of urgency to give immediate attention to patients. Patients were walked to the waiting room despite all seats being taken! This facility needs to focus less on making money and more on customer satisfaction. They were clearly overbooked for testing, despite having only 2 rooms with machines to take pictures and one room for dosing medication. I have NEVER been to a medical appointment where 98% of the patients waiting were complaining about the service. Many were told they couldn't eat or drink after midnight. This was incorrect. Water consumption was allowed but because inconsistent guidance was provided, there were elderly and visibly disabled individuals sitting around thirsty and hungry. When food consumption was approved (after the treadmill test), staff offered patients crackers and water. I honestly cannot believe the lack of consideration and decency shown within a medical facility. If you don't care about people, you shouldn't be open for business! read more

She cut me off at every word and sounded entirely annoyed to be at work. I didn't let it phase me but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The only appointment they had was scheduled for 3 weeks out. Three weeks later, the day of my appointment, I called early in the morning to ask for their self-pay prices. Wanted to compare it to my insurance company-pay and see which was better. A different woman took my call this time and she was somehow even more rude? LOL "Hi, I'd like to know the cost of an initial visit for sel- " "$245. It's $245 ma'am!" Cut me right off and was huffing and puffing on the phone. At that point I asked her to cancel my appointment. Called a renewal for a prescription in on a Friday and it was out of renewals. The pharmacy said they would call the doctor with a request for renewal. Called the Pharmacy again on Monday afternoon. They had not heard from the doctor. Called the Doctor Tuesday morning. Left message to renew or call me. Thursday, still no answer from the Doctor, so I called the Doctor again. Waited until Monday and still nothing to the Pharmacy, so I called. Each time I called they never answered the phone just had to leave a message. So now I decided to go to the office personally. Went on Wednesday (now almost 2 weeks from the initial call) and spoke to someone in the office. They finally got out to me in the office and told me they would take care of it. Well along comes Friday and still NOTHING at the Pharmacy. Called and of course no live person to answer. And no resolution. NOT THE WAY TO RUN A DOCTOR'S OFFICE. So, my husband was referred here from his primary physician in Aug of 2024 for some minor swelling in his lower legs. At the time he weighed maybe 186, not on any medications, exercised like clock work. That combined with the work he does, he averaging 20ish miles per day walking..After many visits, (ending in Jan 2025) EKG's EKG's with contrast, sleep studies & now a total of (13) pills per day, and now weighing 232 lbs from water retention it was determined that sleep apnea was the sole root of his problems and pretty much got laughed at when we ask why his BP continued to stay so high. Why was he retaining so much fluids? Legs & feet so big he couldn't get his shoes or pants on. Ulcers on his legs so bad, they were bursting and constantly oozing. Still it was all due to sleep apnea. Finally we have an ultrasound done on his legs through (their) vascular Dr's. At the appnt with the vascular to get the ultrasound results, the Dr actually had to take her phone out to look up acronym's the Dr had put in his chart to find out what they meant. Then she blurts out well part of his swelling was due to his congestive heart failure. We both were like where did you get that from? She turned her computer around and said right here. Dr XYZ has it in your chart. Sure enough there it was. We were dumb founded! Upset to say the least and told her well that's the first we've heard about it, basically knee buckled & petrified! She exclaims to us "calm down" I said calm down? Are you kidding me? After some back & forth she told us he had some severely damaged veins in his legs. She explained how surgery would work, but thought compression socks would do the trick. His primary Dr stated no socks on the face of this earth will fix what he's got going on. So again, we're left with no answers. She decided as we were leaving that she'd like for him to have a cat scan of his abdomen. She handed us a piece of paper said give this to the girl out front. She'll get it scheduled, call you with the appnt and a follow appnt!! During this time his health has continued to deteriorate! I had had enough! We decided to get a 2nd opinion From Emory! Since Jan of 25, we've discovered from the EKG results in Sept of 24, that were NORMAL, he couldn't possibly have congestive heart failure! Just to be safe, another one was performed with the same results. All these problems are from the lack of blood flow upward from his legs due to Venous Insufficiency.. Less than two weeks after our first appnt with the new Dr, we finally have the answers we had been so desperately seeking. BTW, We still hadn't been contacted about his "cat scan" until today 2/27/25. I get a call from the hosp to let us know how to prepare for his procedure on 2/28/25. I said what procedure? She stated the cat scan ordered by Atlanta Heart. I said well this is the first we're hearing of it, glad he wasn't on his death bed and we will not be attending that appnt. He's being admitted in to the hosp fri am for an IV drip of lasics to remove the almost 60lbs of fluids he's retained to try and get him prepared for the surgery to his legs. These people saw him week after week and did absolutely NOTHING! All they seemed to be concerned with was getting him to the next Dr in their "group"! You scratch my back I'll scratch yours! Keep the money rolling in...and in....and in! I can remember maybe once that the heart Dr actually sat down with us, and answered questions. Other times she was pretty much one foot out the door ready to holler NEXT! The vascular Dr was a joke at best. If you don't know the medical abbreviations from a Dr you work with across the hall... I would suggest some more schooling or better communication! Emory has accomplished more, got to the bottom of everything, & quickly I might add. Addressing it with utmost urgency! Atlanta Heart is nothing but a pill mill with buffet type medical care! All about the numbers not the medical wellbeing of the patients. So, you are your best advocate! i was extremely uncomfortable. I was diagnosed with a a fib my doctor Dhruv Chawla was extremely hostile. I couldn't finish my statement. He will overtake me. He were yelling at me. He was basically making it seem as if I will be on medicine the rest of my life he would not let me I was to ask him if this is my first my primary doctor gave me some questions to ask him he would not even let me ask. He just said no in the in the middle of me speaking, he did my blood pressure he stated to me since my blood pressure was high. This time he could put in my notes that I'm a high blood pressure patient and we went about that I had to bring up my primary care doctor every visit. I go see that my blood pressure is regular, but he stated to me if I keep speaking about it, he will put in his note that I am a high blood pressure patient he made me feel very uncomfortable. I wish I would of done my research before seeing Dr. Jarrod Day. I had a small procedure done. The pain is endless right now. I've reached out to him numerous amount of times. Either a phone call or a visit, letting him know how much pain I'm in. I can barely get in and out of the car/shower. The inside of my leg from top to bottom is black and blue. Pain everyday all day. HIs only response was ibuprofen and a warm compress. I explained to him once again that was not working. The communication is the worst, or should I say the lack of. If you are ever even able to be seen, you will find that the front desk is dishonest and very unprofessional as well as disorganized. They rescheduled mother's appointment twice due to a vacation of I am to presume their only tech. The 3rd time was not a charm. We arrived, checked in, they requested her (social security, but as raggedy as they had already been and how we are about that number, I did not give it). Then they said, oh your order expired and if you are seen today it will cost $249. Then lady with gold hair said, "do you want to still be seen?" I said no, since insurance would cover it. They did not care that the cause of the order spring was due to no fault of our own, but theirs for the 2 times my mother had to reschedule her appointment. The. The shady lady said they have a right to give their techs off when they request it. Sure you do, but why make a client suffer through 2 reschedules and an expired referral order? The drive was inconvenient and the place is in a shady spot where 2 men were coming out of the woods when we arrived, adjusting their pants. They also refused to refer to mother by her professional title. You work around doctors how can you not properly address a female as one? The lady who sat behind the go,d hair lady had piercings if I recalled and rolled her eyes when I requested a business card. They leave so,much to be desired and when Arya and Kim, called to defend the liar at the front desk (which may have been one of them), I could not believe it. By the time we you are seen, here, of you are seen,I hope you are still able to receive assistance. They would sooner put you through more stress just to schedule the visit! I am contacting our referring group and letting them know how horrible of an experience this was and to ensure it does not occur with any one else. *I typed this complaint on my iPad and was very disappointed in the time we wasted. I'm still trying to figure out how they have any good reviews. My doctor referred me to AHA after they found that I had Pulmonary Hypertension on my ECHO. When I went to my appt with AHA the doctor said I didn't have PH and my blood pressure was 156/100. He did a EKG and said he seen some readings but nothing to worry about. He sent me home with a new medicine. I went to another cardiologist at Northside Hospital and the EKG showed I had a mini heart attack and the New Echo showed that I had PH. I would never step foot in AHA ever again. I can say that I didn't sit long at all from the checkin time til after seeing the doctor. It was probably 45mins. Smh read more

The staff is unresponsive and has an attitude. If you want to be annoyed and aggravated all the time, this is the place for you. If you want to cut down on life/health maintaining medications because it takes weeks to get a refill, come on in. If you want to pay for your medication because they will not prescribe 90 days for your insurance to cover it, say no more. If you want to make multiple telephone calls and beg to be set up in their patient portal, they will make it necessary. It has been months and I'm still not set up. I must say the appointment went well and if it wasn't for the billing department, I'd actually maintain my relationship with Dr. Reddy. I normally wouldn't write a review but this situation has been absolutely ridiculous. The billing department has to be the most incompetent group of individuals I've engaged in quite some time. I paid for my appointment out of pocket as they made a comedy of errors in obtaining the pre-certification. Then Lori had the audacity to lie in effort to cover her mistakes. After speaking to a supervisor, I could see why the billing department had such challenges with their integrity. Needless to say, this issue occurred in early August and it's still being rectified in October. My next step is to seek legal counsel, a patient cannot have a procedure without payment being rendered. You'd think they would have the same enthusiasm when it's time for reimbursement. When I go to Atlanta Heart, which sometimes seems like a lot of staff always the friendliest people you never want to meet. I can't think of a time that I've been there that they have not greeted me with a smile, that I have not been seen in a timely manner, even when I've had to wait they come back and talk to me,and let me know they haven't forgotten about me and that they're trying to get me in and out as quick as possible which means a lot. This facility has the worst phone system in the state. I have called today and been on hold once for 23 min and the second time for 53 minutes only to be hung up on. For two days Sat and today I've called at minimum of 14 times and gotten a busy signal. If they would answer their phone and I've been in their offices and 4 people at the front cannot answer a phone, I would fire them. Now the reason for all my calls have been to get Dr. Reddy to fill 3 RX's my pharmacy has faxed then over 5 time last week and again with urgent marked on the 6th, no response. Dr Reddy needs to get a new Nurse or at the very least follow up with me regarding this total lack of concern and/or responsibility. I have had several appointments here in the past two years and their expertise is top notch with great customer service. While wait times can be a bit slow (what doctors office isn't)?, they are reasonable. Doctor Pietro is who I see, and he takes plenty of time to understand what is going on with you physically and medically. It's rare these days for a very busy cardiologist to spend the time going over everything in plain language to achieve a good outcome. A great team here! read more

Their ultrasound techs have no college experience and in general have no knowledge in regards to cardiovascular system. My son n law and I were in your office on 4/27 and was seen by Dr. Gopal Roa and nurse Samantha. After the doctor asked my s n l a few general questions, Dr. Roa would talk to his nurse to relay what tests he needed to do. He had a ECHO and stress test, which was over 200 and then told my the nurse to check out and follow up in a week. The doctor did not go over test results nor issue any meds for my s n l. My snl went to his PCP and after giving release to receive text results from you, he was given meds that should have been given to him the day we were there. If my s n l had had any serious heart or bp issues, I would have given a much serious report. My s n l will still be coming in for results and recommendations next week as scheduled. read more

I have need some prompt attention on a few occasions and they have always responded to my needs promptly. You could not ask for a better group of physicians to meet your cardiac needs. I was a patient with the same doctor with this practice for 13 years! I recently moved and had to find a new cardiologist in my respective area. After review of my records, my new cardiologist agrees that I have not been "misdiagnosed" but believes I have been "over diagnosed ". Essentially Atlanta Heart has subjected me to NUMEROUS unnecessary tests costing me thousands of dollars over the years out of pocket. My insurance isn't great. Every year I'd go to Atlanta Heart, as instructed to by my old doctor there, and I was instructed to have two Echos a year. Additionally I was subjected to a nuclear test and a few stress test over the years. Come to find out the issues I have with my heart are extremely minor which in no way require any of the above. My last bill from Atlanta Heart was $800.00 out of pocket, yes after insurance. I have never been so furious in my life. Thank you to the doctors who don't try to do this to their patients. I followed my doctor's instructions since I am not a doctor and your heart is nothing to mess with. Yes, I questioned my condition and was always told that these tests were needed. So here we are, starting from scratch with this new cardiologist due to the untrustworthy practices of Atlanta Heart and my old cardiologist of 13 years. read more
