You ran a series of test, medical diagnostics, treatment and a plan of action that you followed through in finding the cause giving me my life back. I placed my trust in you. I am overjoyed that I have received great pain relief from an obstruction-a block in the mid-forearm underneath the skin--added a neurologic cause that affected my nervous system previously brought on by a direct trauma of the forearm; progressively causing forearm pain over 24 months ago prior to becoming your patient. I cannot engineer up enough words to express how you gave me my life back. My "house is broken," as one doctor structured it. If it were not for you my "house" would still be "broken" therefore, progressively getting worse. The staff is amazing. I came here over 12 weeks ago feeling like this was my last hope, but within a few weeks I could feel a difference in my energy level and the reduced pain. The physician communicated a series of things, I could say breaking down the plan of action first thing first I listened and conceded to the medical care and diagnosis. I made the decision to trust them; after all I felt that a lamp through a higher power guided me here. Meanwhile, prior to coming to Total Health Care I left behind over 24 months of suffering from direct trauma of a sharp instrument that pierced to the upper extremity underneath the skin of the mid-forearm. Subsequently, within this period my body suffered every possible symptom and irritation related to the cause. There were many new developments that actively reduced my energy. My body experienced debilitating muscle weakness, unexplained pain, decreased arm weakness, partial loss of sensation-numbness, swelling, variation of needle pain (electrical, sharp, dull, prick); my brain took on all the pain. Every month I was actively trying to get help. Sometimes to see a specialist took over 2 to 3 months for an appointment, but I kept exercising, walking daily and drinking lots of water. However, within 24 months of my visiting more than 15+ medical doctors, surgeons, specialists (rehabilitation therapy) including 4 Neurologist, orthopedic and primary care physicians. Many times i was provided no answers--some of the diagnoses namely, were "Rheumatoid arthritis." "Lupus," "CRSP." "RSD" "neuropathy, " "numbness and bazaar," I received limited communication and prescription drug pain medication, a referral to pain management and many orders for physical therapy. With test after test I was dying going down that road. My life was filled with uncertainty and lack of body harmony. I was helpless and felt my body was being neurologically compromised. What was disappointing to me was that I was told that it could take a long time to fine the problem. (MD) the problem was complex and one doctor, said "I can't help you." Another suggested surgery and pain management, surgery of elbow. At one point I was taking steroid injections. I found Total Health Care through a desperate internet search for a practice that could see me after an unexplained back injury left me unable move for almost 24 hours. I am only twenty-six, but this wasn't the first time I had a sudden onset of seemingly unexplainable back pain. About 18 months before, I suffered from chronic back and leg pain that lead me to a sports medicine doctor who took x-rays and immediately send me off to physical therapy with a prescription for Naproxen. I then spent almost six months in physical therapy before finding sustained pain relief. I had some painful flare-ups here and there in the months that followed, but nothing so serious that it sent me back to the doctor or PT. Then my husband and I moved to Atlanta where I was just getting settled and had no relationships with local physicians. As luck would have it, this time, the pain - brought on by simply lifting the corner of my mattress to tuck in the fitted sheet - was so severe that I could hardly crawl to and from the bathroom. I have been going to Total Health Care since the end of August and it was the best decision I have made in a long time. I saw their ad in a flyer they sent out in the mail, looked at it every time it came and thought maybe I should give this place a try. So in August I called them and made an appointment got in the same week, which everyone knows is very unusual these days, To me that was a plus for them already.. Some back ground on my condition. I had back surgery over ten years ago and the surgeon damaged a nerve in my back which made my right leg number from the knee down I also have screws in my back from that surgery. Over the years my back has hurt more and more, pain awful did not know a day without pain in my legs unless I took pain meds and that just dulls the pain. and they had become stiff causing me to have a real balance issue.. I start to fall and can not stop myself. Fyi hurts really bad to fall especially face first.. When I went in for my consultation we went over what my issues were then they did x-rays. Came back the next day to go over what kind of treatment was best for me... So I actually started with the chiropractor Dr Daniels that same day. When I went in his office I could not even get up on the table by myself he helped me... After the first session with him, he said close your eyes t see yourself where you are today.. I had no idea what he meant by that but now I do... SO now lets talk about the wonderful staff, everyone is so nice... They know what should be done and they are doing it... Dr Milner know exactly where to give the shots when I am hurting to help with back issue... and he is great at it does not hurt.... The physical therapist, Dr. Patel, Richard and Andres are wonderful, nice funny and caring. They work wonders and make me feel so much better after they finish my session. Then there is Dr Daniels., He is awesome... I had never been to a chiropractor before and it was an enlightening experience. After each visit when he is finished I feel so good..... I now can get on the table by myself, lay face down get off the table by myself... Which is a very big deal considering how I was in August. I have really cut back on the pain meds. down from 6 to 2 a day... and I am not finished with my treatments yet. SO I am hoping for no more pain meds when I am done. I went to this place last week fr severe pain in my shoulder & neck which by the way i had been pushing off fr 6 months cuz being a self pay patient, i have had horrific experiences at doctors clinics in atlanta primary reason why i wasnt expecting absolutely anything when i walked in here. But boy was i wrong ! I just had to take the time out to review it. I was greeted by Jordon at the front desk. She was warm & friendly greeted me with a smile. She had me filled out the usual paperwork not once asking me to pay ahead since i had already mentioned to her on the phone that i was self-pay. Unlike my other experiences where only getting the payment out of a self pay patient seemed like the only & ultimate goal !! Then i was taken in by one of the associate doc who took detailed info about wht exactly was going on with me then i was taken in by Dr.Mallik who examined me thoroughly, explained what he thinks was going on & above all convinced me to take a shot as that was my best chance of getting anywhere with my pain. (P.S- I hate needles) then i was taken in by Dr.Daniel who again examined me, did his lil joint adjustment thing & explained his take on my condition & how he plans to move forward with my case. Then he handed me to Richard the guy who did an xray & then Dr.Daniel himself saw me out to the front where jordon took the time to explain what should i be expecting next and ran me through the checkout hassle free !! Also i noticed that everytime any of the docs walked out to the front they smiled & greeted all the waiting patients ! That to me is a sign that you actually do care fr ppl & respect the fact that they are counting on you to get better !! I was truly amazed !! Such commendable team work ! It was like everyone knew exactly what they were doing & the co-ordination of the team is applaud worthy ! In a nutshell, when ur sick down with pain ur already feeling like crap physically & mentally so when you walk into a clinic u want to be greeted in a warm, friendly & professional way which gives u a unspoken assurance & comfort that you will be taken care off. The ambience of the clinic is very comforting & positive. Hi Everyone , I got in to Total health care on 24th January 2017 with severe pain in the left shoulder ,and entire left arm .The pain was so much that i could not even drop my left arm down , i was keeping my left arm over my head . My thumb finger gone numb. As the pain started increasing , i was looking for a place to treat it. Being new to the Place where i live now i don't know where to go. The next day After going through the X-ray ,MRI ,it was decided to go for a 8 weeks treatment combining Injections , Physiotherapy ,and Chiropractic.They gave me a very clear picture of what had happened to my c1-c6 disc and explained in a very simple way. One morning in October I woke up with a stiff neck. This has happened to me occasionally over the years. Within a day or two the pain typically goes away and I'm back to normal. This time was different. I was in EXTREME pain. I couldn't even carry my purse on my right shoulder. Any type of movement - sitting, standing, laying down - brought horrible pain. I lived with this pain for several weeks before deciding I just had to do something as this time it was not going away on its own! I knew my normal doctors would not be able to bring me comfort. My initial appointment included an x-ray of my back. I was shocked to see how out of alignment my neck and spine had become. No wonder I was in such horrible pain. The team at Total Health Care put together a comprehensive treatment plan for me that included visits 3 days a week for 6 weeks. My next thought was that this care was going to cost me thousands of dollars that I did not have. I could not have been more wrong. I have been living with neck pain on and off for years. I thought that it was something that I would have to just "deal with" as I aged. At times it was so unbearable that it reduced me to tears, and I had to take pain medication to make the pain go away. It was the only way, or so I thought, to get through the day. A few months ago, I started experiencing pain in my shoulder. I found that I was having difficulty doing normal daily tasks, such as putting on my jacket or using a hairdryer or reaching something from the upper kitchen cabinet with two hands. It was time to fix the problem, rather than hide it with medication. I was introduced to the folks at Total Health Care. After x-rays, a 'range of motion' test and a team discussion between all the professionals, they came up with a course of treatment that was to last for about 2 months, visiting the office three times each week. They explained to me what the problem was, and how they suggested it could be remedied ... and all of my questions were answered. They took care of all the insurance documentation too. The plan was to give me localized shots in the neck/shoulder (using a natural, anti-inflammatory serum - no cortisone!), combined with chiropractic adjustments and intense physical therapy. I am so pleased that, before my course of treatment has finished, I am already feeling like a new person. I no longer have pain at the base of my neck as before, and my neck's range of motion is greatly improved. I do not have pain in my shoulder as before, and while my range of motion on that shoulder is not exactly the same as the other side (yet!), I can notice a definite improvement. Recently I hurt my back in the silliest of ways, I simply bent over. My muscles in my back immediately locked up. The pain was bad enough that I could not stand up straight and had a hard time walking. This was disconcerting as I was looking forward to my son's birthday and knew that it would really be hard to do things with him if I couldn't walk. This is the second time in my life where I hurt my back and needed help. The first was a car accident that left me in pretty bad shape almost 14 years ago. Both times the staff care was exactly what I needed to get back on track. The professionalism and expertise of all areas of this practice is unmatched. The facility is clean and welcoming. The staff is always ready to help, are friendly, and willing to answer any and all questions. The other area which I know is always top of mind, is the question "Will my insurance cover this?" or "Can I afford it?" The staff will help answer these questions and help you work your way through the process. I have learned that money should never be a reason not to seek out help and the folks here agree. The interesting part of all this is that even after 15 years, my first choice was the team at Total HealthCare. There was no question in my mind about who I should call. It is good to see old friends. The care is outstanding still. My treatment at this time is ongoing. I am a senior citizen with a history of neck and back problems for the past 50 years. I have degenerative disc disease and severe arthritis. Over the years I have had multiple treatments including hospital traction, acupuncture, trigger point injections, epidurals, multiple drugs, and five spinal surgeries. I did have some relief of pain after each surgery but that quickly disappeared. I have been in constant pain due to the arthritis and scar tissue. I went to a pain clinic for years and had one procedure after another involving nerve ablations, steroid injections, and even had a neuro stimulator implanted which has subsequently been removed. As my pain increased and I grew more depressed with my situation, I knew that once again I had to try and find some relief. I received an advertisement in the mail in the form of a newspaper that told of the special treaatments available at Total Health Care that did not involve surgery or steroids. I was willing to give it a try since my only other option was to return to the pain center for more of the same. I started on a regimen of three times a week seeing a chiropractor, a medical doctor and a physical therapist and have been doing this for the past two months. I discovered TotalHealth on the ZocDoc app after I injured my neck playing with my dog. I had very limited range of motion and as this had never happened to me before, I scheduled my first appointment the very next day. At that first appointment I received homeopathic injections to the the effected area, electric muscle therapy, x-rays, and very light chiropractic adjustment. After this first visit I noticed a slight improvement to my range of motion, and an improvement in my pain levels (they went from about an 8 down to a 6). The therapy team also gave me an electric muscle therapy device and traction tool I could use from home. At my follow-up visit we went over my X-rays and my future treatment. The X-rays showed that my spine had begun to curve in the wrong direction which could have caused all kinds of problems in the future, including an early onset of arthritis. We started treatment for that issue immediately. I am about to begin the 5th week of a 6 week regimen, and I visit 3 times per week. Each visit I see the chiropractor for an adjustment, the therapy team for electric muscle therapy and traction therapy, and for half of my regimen I saw an MD or PA for injections. My pain and discomfort levels have become so much more manageable. Most days my pain levels are only at a 2 or 3, but I attribute that mostly to training my neck to sit properly. It has been a process that I've had to adjust to, but between my visits to the clinic and the at-home stretches/exercises the therapy team has taught me, my day to day life has improved so much. In 2004 I was in an accident that caused my back to have two chipped herniated discs. I've seen several doctors and have had several treatments from chiropractors to surgeons. Unfortunately, those treatments have only provided temporary relief which was due to being dependent on meds and treatment plans. After giving birth to my daughter the pain seemed to intensify greatly. I had made up my mind that I'd have to deal with severe pain for the remainder of my life until my general practitioner referred me to Total Health Care three months ago. Hello, I want to acknowledge what a difference Total Health Care has made to my daily life. I was falling into depression due to chronic pain in neck and upper back, so much so, I would dread sitting at my desk all day for work. There were times, when I opted to work standing up rather than sitting down to do my work as a software manager. I have had the misfortune of running from doctor to doctor, taking x-rays, MRI, CT scans with no potential plan on getting better. My case was not bad enough for surgery, so my option was to wait out until it become worst so surgery would be considered. Then by happenstance, I found total health care when searching for Physical Therapy. I was offered more than Physical Therapy here. At the start of my treatment, I was extremely skeptical that I am in the right place. My friends warned me to never allow a Chiropractor to "adjust" my neck. When I met my Chiropractor, Dr. Daniel, I let all warnings slide aside and I decided to trust him. His compassion towards his patients and the time he takes to explain how to make life changes are invaluable. Dr. Daniel's easy smile and demeanor help me relax at each visit and the rest of the day. I experienced shoulder and arm pain for over 5 years due to a pinched nerve in my neck. I frequently suffered from headaches leaving me extremely fatigued and moody. The pain affected my everyday life as an employee, mother and wife. I was developing depression-like symptoms that I would later learn was connected to fighting the pain. I knew something had to be done when I did not have the energy to play a board game with my children one afternoon. I heard about Total Health Care through a co-worker. I was having pain in my neck and upper shoulder region. I'm fairly young so I knew this was not normal and that it was only going to get worse. It was becoming difficult to drive because I could not turn my neck to see if anyone was in my blind-spot and now that I have an infant, it became a priority for me to diagnose the issue and get it fixed. Friends had been telling me to go see a Chiropractor and after putting it off for many months, I decided to try THC. I had no idea what I was in for and was not familiar with the treatments at all. After a few tests and an x-ray, we started my treatments. These consisted of weekly visits (3x/week), stretching/massage, injections and adjustments. They also gave me stretches to do at home/office. I've had back problems for over 10 years. These problems would appear after lifting heavy objects, or doing brusque movements. But they tended to resolve themselves, so I never really worried too much about it. That changed 3 months ago. I started experiencing lower back pains that did not go away. The pain would radiate all over my lower back and in my legs. I would take me 3-4 minutes to get out of bed, get up from a chair, or even put my sucks on. I was in constant pain, dreading even the smallest activities. I could not play with my kids, play tennis, or really do anything active. Nobody in our house was happy. I was told about Total Health Care. I came for a consult and was very impressed by the fact that they had multiple disciplines represented in the practice. I was also impressed by their facilities, the staff and the fact that they were extremely honest about what they can and can't do. My treatment plan consists of 3 treatments per week, for 8 weeks. I see a therapist, a doctor and a chiropractor each visit. Initially, 8 weeks seemed like a long time, but the results came very quickly. After the first 2 weeks, I started feeling improvement. At week 4, I went back to jogging and playing tennis. By week 6, my pain is pretty much gone and I am more active than ever before. "Unable to play my favorite sport of tennis, or to kick a soccer ball with my children or grand children, or to hike trails with my wife, is not how I anticipated my later years in life at age 65. Many, many years ago, I tore the meniscus in my knee playing tennis. After surgery & therapy, my knee seemed close to normal. On and off I was having a sharp pain in my lower back that seemed like a flare-up from an agitated joint or disc. It would usually last no more that a day or two. Then it was as if i never had a pain at all, full instant recovery. This was happening at least 2-3 times a year for a couple of years. The pain wouldn't let me move at all. The most I could do was walk very carefully since I couldn't sit upright, bend over or have any use in my back whatsoever. I am a previous patient of Total Health Care from a previous medical issue. I think I injured my lower back when I was building out my new store. The pain became unbelievable and I could not even bend over. Putting my clothes on was a chore, every morning. I started my therapy/treatments about 5 weeks ago. I went in for an initial consultation as I was not getting any better. I had taken so much over the counter medications that my stomach was not bothering me too, something had to get help. The team there scheduled me an appointment the same day I called and before I knew it I was seen and diagnosed with inflammation of the tendons inside my SI joint. I made the decision to have my lower back examined when I was unable to do the most mundane tasks. After doing research about the lower back I decided to go the non-surgical route. Total Health Care came very highly recommended, although I was highly skeptical at first, but after they explained the process and the timeline I was much more at ease. I noticed improvement within the first several appointments. That improvement allowed me to get back into the gym to help speed the process along. I have been going for 2-3 months now and am getting close to the end of my initial treatments. As a stubborn person I decided that prior to getting help I would try and solve the problem myself with help from the Internet and ibuprofen in hopes that I could fix myself.
