They scheduled me three times to come out and look at my property. Day one they never called. Day 2 they never showed up despite saying they were coming. Day 3 they never showed up despite texting and giving me an arrival time. I called and called and finally someone answers the phone and says I am out of their area. I'm in metro Atlanta yet I'm out of the area for Atlanta Metro Sod? Don't bother with them. Complete headache. I wasted 2+ hours over the past 3 days driving to my property. read more

We had three 20 year old Bradford Pear trees removed. We needed sod and went out for three bids. I will say that Atlanta Metro Sod was the most professional, timely, and available. We ended up with 4 bids, but quite frankly I had to beg people to give me a price and they were all over the map. Atlanta Metro Sod gave me a price, sent me a detailed bid and then had an opening and followed up with me!! No one else has yet to follow up with me - the sod business must be good! The communication was great - the crew arrived today and they were all considerate and the crew chief Shane was on point - making sure we were ok with the grading before sodding. I know we have to continue to water to make sure the sod takes, but I am not easily pleased, and this experience was very good. They left our home and surrounding areas clean and I would recommend Atlanta Metro Sod. read more

AMS agreed to take up brand new sod we'd had put in that due to several things wasn't going to work. They were professional, prompt, had a hard working crew, and completed the job in one weekend that took the previous people 2 weeks. I just wish I'd gone with them from the beginning! read more

Very poor job. It's been a few years since it was installed as it can take time to root and come in we'll so wanted to give it time but I was unhappy right after the installation. They did not prep or even the ground like they said they would. They literally laid SOD over existing living grass for the front half of my front yard, horrible. Naturally have different types of grass now however they assure me they would remove all old grass and level the ground before laying. Very uneven today. When cleaning up, they cut the sod at the sidewalk and driveway to hang over onto the concrete by about 6 inches so something I had to PF course clean up. They weren't professional, full of bs a lot. An easy do not hire from me. read more

Like Matthew my initial experience with Atlanta metro sod was absolutely horrific. I was contacted by Gavin after submitting an email inquiry for an estimate whom I later found out was a "totally different company" Golden Gardens. They quoted me a price for grading, leveling, 2 loads of dirt & 15 pallets of Bermuda sod after supposedly measuring my yard & even taking pictures. I was told the job would take 2 days to complete & I would need to pay half the money up front cause they're a small company. This should have been a red flag but yet I proceeded b/c of the reviews. Fast forward to the completion of the job. Guys I'm not extragerrating when I say it was fu**ed up & that's being nice. Not only were they inaccurate with their measurements, they actually only brought 14 pallets when I needed 17. The grading that they did was nonexistent, my yard was lumpy & full of tree stumps & branches. To top it off, in the middle of my job...the foreman left & went to knock down trees for my neighbor. I ended up with the most horrific job ever in sod installation history. The icing on the cake was when Gavin demanding payment for this mess, that's when I lost it & cursed him out in so many different languages while proceeding to kick him off my property. He later texts me stating to "call this guy whom I later found out was Davin & he will fix your yard for free, sorry I couldn't make you happy." Upon speaking with Davin, he said that Gavin or Golden Gardens was not affiliated with his company & he would come out to see what he can do to fix my yard. Davin & his crew ended pulling up all the sod that was laid by Gavin & regrading my land properly. It was still a pallet short in which he brought back & installed after me constantly reaching out to him. The final pallet was rotten & already bad before installing. I'm not sure if it's sod or tan hay, I know it couldn't have came from the same farm as the other pallets. I sent Davin pictures & a message because they have a green guarantee...unfortunately no response. This is definitely a lesson learned & I wouldn't reccomend them or Gavin. Davin claimed he has no affiliation with Gavin but the reviews say different. A 2 day job turned into roughly 2 months, stay away from this company. read more
