This park is actually a sister park of Harbin's Park. Basically, Harbin's Park is three parks. The main park offers mountain bike trails, multiple purpose trails and equestrian trails. This is the only one with the football field and the 2nd Harbin's Park has two baseball diamonds. All of these parks are near each other. By far, this collection of parks is some of the very best that Gwinnett County owns. There is so much land here, the parks do not get overcrowded (probably because they are farther from the city) and there is so much to do here. The ax throwing is on a very stable trailer with a couple of stairs. It's enclosed by metal "mesh" so the axes don't accidently go flying out of the area. We were shown how to correctly hold the ax, stand and how to throw. The nice gentleman that was teaching us showed us how to safely throw and then wait for the second person to throw so that no one was ever in danger. You must scan a QR code and sign a waiver before you throw. This was a free event we attended so I will call to see how much it would be for this business to come to other events. It was fun and exciting to learn something new. And a little competitive, as you are throwing with another person and trying to beat their score!

I quickly learned after being on team for two years that this gym is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. The thousands of dollars we paid for meet fees weren't fully used to pay meet fees, its was kept by Southern. After realizing what has been going on behind the scenes and the addiction issues the family that owns the gym has, i had to quickly move my kids to another gym, paying a whole new load of fees. Southern charged me for may tution, we left end of April. When reaching out to southern to get my $300 back, they declined. But they have no problem keeping the hundreds of dollars we gave for meet fees that were never even paid for the meets. This gym is extremely unprofessional and is not a safe place for children or your money.

Mark specializes in Arabian and Half-Arabian training, so most of the horses here (including mine) are Arabians. Mark is a well-known and very respected trainer in the Arabian community. However, I have a friend who boards her warmblood mare here because Mark is so great at foaling out, and another person keeps their Friesian in training with Mark. Hey, a well behaved horse is a well-behaved horse! Mark is meticulous about cleaning and maintaining the property. You will NEVER find any unsafe footing, downed boards, broken fences, etc.- everything built here was well-planned out. For example, the barn has dirt floors, which Mark maintains very well, to help the horses walk (sometimes they slip on concrete). I was skeptical at first but it really is less nerve-wracking to handle a nervous horse on dirt than concrete. There are trails and an indoor arena with three round pens, but no outdoor arena.

Our staff member was very knowledgeable and was more than happy to join the guys because they were lacking with 3 girls vs 2 guys. We ended up having a few of us throwing bullseyes and popping balloons. It was a great night and we can't wait to go back!

I have a busy schedule, so I appreciated the ability to complete the online learning on my own time, at my own pace. And do the pool dives in the middle of a weekday. Ben was incredibly helpful for my pool and open water dives. Obviously, he knows a ton about scuba. He always made sure I felt comfortable and safe during each of our dives. He took the knowledge I came in with and built from there. Whenever I struggled with a skill he knew how to aid and explain based on my knowledge and learning style. On my open water certification trip I had the opportunity to meet other divers from recently certified to seasoned veterans. I look forward to going on more dive trips and obtaining more certifications from Athens Scuba!
