The result was well in a word "Horrible" - it started when my son who is twenty years old purchased a box of shells for target practice later that day. He noticed some rifles in a safe when he was cashing out at the register and he recognized a .308 Rifle I have wanted for our collection. He comes to the car and tells me they have one at a great price of $399.00 so we go back in to make the purchase but some guy who works there in between trying to woof down a half chicken decided that he wasn't selling it to us because my son had mentioned we were interested. It was really quite puzzling. The guy reasoning was my twenty year old son mentioned it and he didn't have his id on him so because he told me the gun was in the store and i went in to purchase it he refused to sell it to us. UNBELIEVABLE! My son says Ray is a great guy and I believe him but the bait worm salesman who loves half chickens is killing customer service. Unfortunately for them I am one and done because I get terrific service at Ken's so I am sticking with them. Oh yeah one final note, mr by the books salesman guy had just sold my son a box of 9mm bullets ten minutes earlier. I reckon the id wasn't important for that sell. Kinda of a double standard. The rule here is "don't buy a gun at Ray's if chicken lover salesman is on lunch break" it won't go well. Sad events in Eden. JB

From the outside it's a beautiful store and very large . When we walked in there was plenty to see and we perused the aisles . I made my way to the guns counter which is what I wanted to see . Service ? Hah ok . No one said a word . No " can I help you ? How are you folks doing ? Nothing . I said to myself they're probably distracted or whatnot but no . More less chumming it up with one another . As far as the selection goes I saw what I originally had seen on line and at a decent price . If I was to order elsewhere I'd have to deal with shipping etc so the cost wasn't the best but it evened out . We stood there for a few and watched this fellow walk right on by and nope not a word . By then the wide am was fed up and loudly said Hi how are you ? And the. He spoke up . By then we were done so no you cannot help me and I will take my business elsewhere.

I spent over an hour in the store just trying to get assistance. I initially asked an employee where I should stand to be helped, and he directed me to wait near the computers. I did exactly that, but after helping others who were ahead of me, I was redirected to another employee instead of being assisted. The second employee asked me detailed questions about what I was looking for price range, concealment preferences, safety options so I assumed I'd finally be shown some products. Instead, he told me he didn't have time to help and sent me back to the first person. From there, I was left standing and waiting again while employees walked past me or assisted people who had just arrived. What made this especially frustrating was watching other customers receive immediate help being shown firearms and having them taken off the shelf while I was still waiting with no assistance. It felt dismissive and unorganized at best. The environment in the firearm section was also confusing. There were multiple employees present, but very little actual customer service happening. At one point, it felt like there were more staff than customers, yet no one was available to help me. Out of curiosity, I checked online reviews while waiting and saw many similar complaints about poor service and lack of responsiveness. Unfortunately, my experience reflected those same issues. By the time I left, I felt frustrated and unwelcome. For a first-time buyer, this was not the kind of guidance or professionalism I expected. I won't be returning, and I would recommend others especially first-time buyers to consider other stores where customer service is a priority.

Not only that, the cost to transfer this weapon over to me was the lowest in the area. I was looking to purchase a holster for my Glock 19 clone and because I'm left handed this is not always an easy find. The gentleman found one that was multi purposed and switched the holster to fit a left handed. I will definitely go back to this shop for all my firearms related needs.

I wanted to do some shopping around for a new firearm and came upon this business…read more After checking Google for the hours of operation, I called the business to confirm that someone would be available. I had the pleasure of speaking with Justin and he informed me that although he does leave regularly during the day for inventory, he would be in for the next couple of hours. I headed to the location and had no issue finding the business. The parking is on gravel but there are actual parking spots at the end of the street if you had any issues or didn't mind the walk. When I entered he was helping another customer so I took the time to grab a business card and walk around the space. There weren't many items on display in the shop other than accessories. I didn't mind the wait though and it wasn't long before I was greeted with a warm welcome. Justin informed me that although they do not keep inventory in the building he can usually order or provide the products same day. I appreciate him taking the time to offer suggestions and answer any questions or concerns I had. Depending on what you're looking for the prices can vary and even land on the higher side. Overall helpful and informative visit for my continued search.

I waited 5 days for my order status to change to shipped before calling. I was told they didn't actually have it in stock that they were ordering it from the manufacturer that shows it on back order. The price was the same as what the manufacturer was selling it on their web site but in stock. Just be honest and say you don't have it in stock, and that it is on back order from the manufacturer. That as soon as you receive a shipment from them you will notify me so I can pay for it then or try and go find it somewhere else. YOU CAN NOT CHARGE A RESTOCKING FEE ON SOMETHING YOU NEVER HAD

Then he cut my brand new arrows all different lengths and when I put my broad head on it hit my riser and I had told him what length I was and all the info he needed and he still got it wrong. I gave them another try since I was in the area and when me and my wife went in no one said a a word to us and I was in there for a little while looking for a bow accessories and not a single employee came to see if we needed help. It has never given me any issues. Recently, we paid a couple of visits to sell some odds and ends just to make a few bucks. I honestly was a bit skeptical because usually pawn shops are pretty picky when it comes to buying items... But so far, this is the ONLY pawn shop in the area that doesn't rip you off. They give you your money's worth, and usually give you what you're asking. If not, they make an amazing deal with you. The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable and understanding. I'm so glad we made the choice to sell to Hickory Pawn! I'm not the only person extremely satisfied though, my husband, my aunt, my mother in law, and my dad all FOUR love this pawn shop!
