Rafael was amazing start to finish. I wasn't in a position to do the attic work when I first started getting the quotes together. I had two other companies out in addition to Attic Advisors. One was a higher estimate and the other lower. I trusted and respected Rafael and his experience. So much in fact that I referred him to a neighbor before I had our project done. She has referred him along to her clients as she is in real estate The team were polite and efficient. They set up a clean space and worked very professionally. The vacuumed out ALL of the old fiberglass insulation that was not evenly distributed. They installed wire mesh to prevent critters from getting in. They sprayed for spiders and bugs thank goodness. They sealed all drywall seams and fixtures. They replaced two air ducts. Then they installed the new R38 insulation. All done in one day. Since the work has been completed, we have had the pleasure of enjoying our home being much more comfortable. Why didn't we do this before?!?! I have an old low pitch roof, and was told by another company that they couldn't even reinsulate my attic space because it was too small. I was having massive issues with attic rats for almost a year. I tried traps, poison, sealing up any holes I could identify and get to, but it was a losing battle. During my war with the rats, I also noticed the insulation in my attic was very old and needed replacement. Attic Advisor offered a competitive bid and was the only company willing to accommodate my need to have the process done in two visits instead of one. They did a great job sealing off attic for points of entry for critters, cleaning out old insulation and duct and replacing with new. Everything was clean and disinfected from rodent droppings etc. and when we needed one more piece of duct added to put in two more vents they came back right away and made it all happen efficiently. We had a great experience working with Attic Advisor to give some TLC to the attic in our 1958 Clairemont home. There was some existing insulation, both loose and batted, but not nearly enough of either, and it really didn't smell good. When we installed a whole house fan, that smell was pushed to the living spaces and we knew it was time to act. Dominic (sales) was thorough in our initial meeting, and walked me through the options without giving me the sense that he was upselling at any point. I interviewed two other companies, either of which would have been fine, but basically knew that I'd found the fit. We hired them to do both the clean out and the installation of new batting. The installers on site, with Tyler as the lead, were great. They were respectful of the house and family members working from home, and kept things clean and on schedule. We asked them to do a "split", doing the clean out on one day and the insulation a couple weeks later, and that wasn't a problem at all. The new batted insulation looks great and we're already feeling the difference in the house. I'm glad to give a thumbs up to these guys. read more

BEWARE: pricing and reviews seem great. HAD THIS COMPANY (ATTIC ADVISOR) Do a attic clean up. Few months later needed to get back in the attic to do some electrical work. After being up their a few minutes started to notice things that we're NOT DONE Properly that had been agreed to be repaired as part of our service agreement to top it of notice areas had been left untouched with old contaminated insulation. Don't know what else was done incorrectly but I can tell you they will completely lie to you with images and emails if you want to make sure everything was done correct you have to inspect the work yourself .I will not have this company come back and fix this problem because all they have done is been sneaky and done terrible work. To our surprise, they offered the best pricing and also addressed details that the other companies completely overlooked. For example, ensuring soffit vents and our whole house fan duct wouldn't get filled with blown-in insulation during the process. Those details are important for proper attic space airflow and long term maintenance of the attic space. I had to reschedule a couple of times leading up to the project day due to HVAC/duct work and roof work (it's a good idea to get those done prior to insulation work), and Rafael was accommodating and easy to communicate with the whole time. On project day the crew covered walls and floors, let me inspect the attic after clean out, and answered my numerous questions. I first found Attic advisors on Yelp and they got back to me right away. Dominic came out to give me an estimate and was very thorough and provided pictures and a step by step process of what they would do at my house. I had been debating getting new insulation in my attic due to it not being the proper R rating as well as blown in insulation in my walls. Dominic suggested waiting on the walls to just see how the thicker insulation does in the attic first. He also observed that aside for being too thin, my current insulation was in good shape and I could just add more on top. I appreciated his advice and didnt feel like he was just trying to get me to spend more money on things that I may not need straight away. They arrived today- I got an update that they were running 15 min behind which I greatly appreciated. Many times contractors just show up late without giving a respectful heads up. They reviewed with me what they were going to do and got started right away. They sealed off the rest of my house so no dust got around and are working on installing it now! I contacted three insulation contractors, and I was the most impressed with Clay in his very detailed explanations and options backed up with photos of my attic. They carried out rodent abatement procedures as well as insulation. I know my attic with it's new insulation is snug and completely protected from any possible rodent invasion. All possible areas for air leaking were sealed as well. The on-site team lead by Tyler were polite, and very tidy, vacuuming the areas where they were working.
