A friend told me about daith piercing, so I decided to try it. My migraines have been out of control for about the last year, so even a little help would be welcome. I was pleased to see how clean and orderly the shop is. We had time to look around at all the leathers and jewelry. I was given a sheet outlining what was going to happen and I initiated and signed it. You have to show ID also. I was offered an upgrade on the jewelry for $10. The piercing comes with a small silver hoop and ball. The upgrade is also a ring, but in place of the ball there is a gemstone. The Friday I went had a bonus. Instead of $30 per ear, it was $40 for both ears. I met the artist, and she ushered me into a room that was clean and bright. Kenzie told me exactly what she was going to do before she did it. First ear wasn't painful at all but the second one was. Kenzie told me that's how it usually goes, as adrenaline got used up on the first ear. It was over in under 5 minutes and pain was about a 3 for me. Kenzie gave me a sheet with aftercare instructions and went over it with me. She also said I could return in a few months and she would change the rings for me as it's almost impossible to do by yourself. I'm shocked. I went into Attitudes this past Friday with the intent of getting a tattoo. I've been seeing a therapist because my life has been affected radically by suicide this past year. I have wanted to get an awareness tat for months (;), found some examples and finally got up the guts to go into a shop. I showed what I had to the 2 guys that were at the counter, mention that I knew a girl who had a friend that worked there and also that I had seen Erica several times to help me with my tragus. My daughter was in an accident in December and is paralyzed-she was the only one that could take my tragus piercing in-and-out. So I've had to have some MRIs and xrays earlier in the year and I paid Erica $20 the 1st time and $10 the 2nd time to help me out with that task. For some reason or another the 2 guy tattoo artist felt the need to dis my existing tat which is very dear to me and has a lot of meaning and then basically just ignored me. A guy walked in and the next thing I knew they were talking to him and asking him when he wanted to get the tattoo done. I stood there seriously with my mouth hanging open and walked out the door. I called the store later and asked for Erica to call me back, which she did. I'm not sure I got an apology and I'm still unclear as to why I never got to discuss getting the tattoos! You guys need sensitivity training. I guess you think you need to be hard core but nowadays bullying, disrespecting people, age discrimination, etc. are inappropriate and unacceptable. I love this place! Best place in Muskegon to go for a piercing! I recently went in to get a tunnel out because it was crossed threaded. It took a minute because it was really stuck but got it out and only charged me $5 because it was a tough one. Even helped move to the next size and didn't charge for that. My boyfriend went in to get his second tattoo with Travis. First of all, he was late. Second, we're pretty sure he was high. Nothing against people who smoke weed, but when it affects your performance (and it clearly did), I have a problem. Anyways, he ended up not making the lines of his tattoo straight at all. There was trauma to the skin and the straight lines look absolutely awful. A month goes by and my boyfriend decides to get a touch up because he was not happy with the outcome. We should have known better not to come back, but Travis said he would do it for free, that he was sorry and that he would get my boyfriend in right away. His appointment was at 4:00 pm. We got there around 3:45, a bit early. He wasn't there yet, but that's fine. 4:25 roles around and he finally shows up. He walks in and asks if he can take a quick smoke break before he starts.
