After running up and down the stairs 4 times someone got us in using the master key. The people next to us on the second day of being here couldn't get into their room either. Also be careful with the shower, water will get everywhere. The lady at the front desk was very nice though.

We stayed in the Hotel Malakoff for a couple of days in April while visiting Paris. It's very far…read morefrom the city center, but a 30 minute ride from the metro, which is close to the hotel. The hotel lobby is clean and modernly decorated. The staff do speak English, though it's polite to ask if they do before assuming so. There is "free wifi" but you do need log-in information and if a large group is trying to log on, you might have some trouble. Breakfast was pretty good. Hot items, decent croisant, fancy coffee/hot chocolate maker... This was my favorite breakfast on our tour. The rooms are small, but remember, it is Europe. The bathroom was clean and small, but the shower was terrible. The water wouldn't drain properly and was ankle deep at the end of the shower. The bed was not sleeping on a cloud, but it was good. The walls are thin so I heard a lot of door slamming and chatter in the hallways. It was probably my students so I apologize if anyone woke up because of our group. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again by choice, but it was a decent stay.

What is there to do in Gressy? Not much according to me but eat, bath, and sleep…read more If it's what you're here to do, then perfect! It's a big manoir and very historic looking. The rooms were perfectly fine for me. The food was fancy! I enjoyed it. Don't stay here to be close to Paris, stay here to be closer to the Convention Center. Having to enter different WiFi codes over my stay was kind of annoying but it's kind of a French thing (I assume) because I had to do it at another French hotel too.
