Another visit a year later (2025)…read more Made a reservation again for a monday lunch. Only inside tables this time around, but nicely cooled with A/C. Staff/owner were really friendly, relaxed and attentive again as last year. Again our Bulldog was welcome. Since we love it so much, we both ordered the slice of Foie Gras mi-cuit. Great as ever. For the main I chose the "Le Cordon Bleu de Noix de Veau Pané avec Jambon Blanc et Fromage Ribeaupierre". And what a piece of meat that was! Crispy and hot outside. Wonderful and flavourful cheese inside. Melting nicely. A hearty, savoury dish. And cooked to perfection. The sauce was excellent and the potatoes a perfect match. The other main was as last time the La Fricassée de Pieds et de Joues de Porc à l'Ancienne. Wonderful dish - pork feet and cheeks. Still a fantastic item - comes with nice Spaetzle. Had 5dl of Pinot Gris. It was decent and a pretty good match for the meal. But next time (and there will be) we'll probably spend a bit more and go for a bottle of a bit more special Pinot Gris or Riesling. But again: An excellent lunch. Wonderful atmosphere, a skilled cooking crew, high quality products. A highly enjoyable lunch. We'll be back!
