We found the listing online and it was accurately described, completely clean and had everything we needed. The house is beautifully finished with great attention to detail (Eric had made us napkin holders with our names on them!) Jossigny is a little french town with pretty scenery and it is perfectly positioned for access to the french countryside, Paris Airports, Val d'Europe and of course Disneyland. Eric is truly gifted as a host - he had time to show our kids his animals (ponies, rabbits, chickens and kindly gave us vegetables from his veg patch. He equipped us with lots of tourist information and told us about some of the lesser known attractions that we would would not have known about ourselves and that were the highlights of our trip (like the Château de vaux le vicomte candlelit evening) We even brought home some homemade jam from their fruit trees! I will be highly recommending Gite de la Villa Chanteclair to my friends and will to you too.

No matter how well someone sells their hotel/B&B online, you never know what you'll get until you actually open up that door and see it in person. B&B Bouchardon did not disappoint. My first trip to Paris, and my boyfriend's third, we really wanted it to be special. We've traveled a lot of places together, have made some mistakes here and there on choosing places. After a short climb up 5 stories in a tiny elevator, we were greeted into a lovely atmosphere and we instantly knew we'd made a good choice. The room is a little on the small side, but it's beautifully decorated and you really couldn't beat the local apartment feel. The rest of the apartment is also gorgeously decorated and very comfortable. The next morning, we knew we were in for a special treat when Jozsef presented us not only a delicious breakfast, but an absolutely beautiful one. I took pictures so that I can try to recreate the spread for guests at my house in the future.... it was that good. Jozsef was very personable, friendly and easy to talk to. He knows Paris very well and was readily available to offer tips on sightseeing, ordering food, etc. I loved that we felt as if we were staying in a friend's apartment rather than a rented room from a stranger. My boyfriend proposed to me on this trip and when Jozsef found out, he happily presented us with a bottle of champagne as a congratulations. This really topped off our already amazing experience and if we ever go back (I'm sure we will!) we'll definitely be staying at Bouchardon. They may never get us to leave next time!

Staying here was a TRUE pleasure…read more Even from my first email interaction I could tell that this was likely to be an excellent stay. We received a questionnaire in advance, as well as detailed information and tips for our arrival in Paris and getting to the apartment. I'm a big planner and was able to run some of my possible restaurant choices by Jozsef a week in advance and he provided feed back as well as some additional recommendations (one of which turned out to be my favorite meal of our entire trip). When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with fresh beverages and excellent chatting about our trip and plans. Our room and bathroom were in excellent, spic-and-span condition and there were goodies in our room as well...think renowned Paris chocolatiers ;-) The apartment set-up is really excellent. The area of the house the guest room is in can be completely closed off from the rest of the apartment (which they do at night) so you have plenty of privacy and can come and go without disturbance to anyone else. That was one thing I was concerned about while booking, but it was not an issue whatsoever. The bathroom is small, but in perfect condition. Me and the hubby were able to get ready in the morning without issue for a full week. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept like a rock every night (due in part I'm sure to our exhausting days haha). The location is very nice as well. This is in the 10th, and off of a cute street that connects to another quiet street with several cafe's. What really makes this such an excellent place to stay are the personal touches, the attention to detail, and the excellent company of the owners. Jozsef and Frederic are an absolute pleasure, and we enjoyed our conversations with them tremendously. Additionally, Jozsef (who does most of the hosting duties) truly goes above and beyond to be helpful. If you ask for help with something, not only does he help you with that, but he anticipates other needs as a result and takes care of those as well. He really personalizes things based on your particular likes and dislikes. The breakfasts....wow. Jozsef makes a mean cold-pressed juice! We tried a bunch of different flavors and they were all super yummy and healthy. Every morning there was a huge variety: pastries, yogurt, fruits, breads, jams, cheeses, etc. And everything was so fresh. The fruits in France truly are amazing. We had a peach for breakfast one morning that I was so excited about, I'm writing about the experience in a review, THAT'S how good this peach was. I thought I may have to fight my husband for additional pieces, or distract him and toss them in my purse. One additional thing that I noticed confusion about (in the FAQ's)... You cannot book this B&B through TripAdvisor. I did a simple google search for the name of the B&B however, and found the website right away. And it is more than worth the extra step, as the value you get for the price can't be beat; the service level is that of a 5-star hotel. The only thing I have left to say is that I will surely be back here the next time we are in Paris. Thank you Jozsef and Frederic for having us in your beautiful home. Until next time...au revoir!

We stayed in the Guimet room, or as I like to call it "The Red Room." It was very clean, beautifully decorated and looked out on the hustle and bustle of the boulevard. The bed and sheets were so comfortable, that some days we were tempted to just sleep in. But we woke up early for Jean's breakfasts in the dining room. Breakfast included: fresh croissants, French bread, cheese, some kind of meat, yogurt, and fresh fruit salad along with hot tea and coffee. Jean couldn't be a more welcoming host. He always had the best suggestions for us whether it be for a restaurant or a museum visit. He even offered to book our cab for the airport. And on our very last evening, he left a bottle of champagne for us in our room, along with some champagne flutes. So, if you're looking for an unforgettable stay in Paris, you need not look any further. We're already dreaming of returning to Paris and booking our favorite room at My Home for You.

Les Salons Hoche - Inside the bridal party suites where we got ready. There was a ton of space for bride, groom, and a wedding party of 18!

We selected the venue without having…read morevisited in person, and instead relied on photos/reviews and the help of our main contact, Guiliana. The venue was absolutely beautiful. We had the Haussman apartments for the bridal parties to get ready hours before the ceremony which were large and well decorated, perfect for pictures. Our first look took place in a beautiful Parisian courtyard with our bridal party looking on from balconies above us. Les Salons Hoche provided us with a 1950's Rolls Royce and a driver to take us around Paris for photos (Bir-Hakeim overlooking the Eiffel Tower, and a side road with the Arc de Triomphe in the background). When we returned, our wedding took place on the rooftop, enclosed in glass and beautifully decorated. After the ceremony, we moved downstairs to another room for the cocktail hour with extra space in the courtyard. The reception took place in a beautiful, marble-floored room called Etoile. Every little detail, whether we discussed it or not, was perfectly done. They host a lot of events there, so when you visit before the wedding (we were there 4 days before ours) there is lots of work going on. On the day of the wedding though, the location is completely transformed with tasteful details (white curtains, flowers, candles, etc.). The food was amazing. We upgraded our food package (to "Prestige") and it exceeded expectations. Our guests, who mainly come from New York City and attend lots of weddings, raved about the quality/flavor/abundance of food during cocktail hour and during dinner. For dinner, we had the salad with lobster and mango (excellent), Beef Tenderloin (very well cooked unlike most wedding food), and Assortment of Cheeses (you're in France, of course, this is good :) ) , and the Cake (American style with strawberry inside - this was a huge hit with our guests). This was all made possible because of the hard work and excellent communication of Guiliana. She was amazing to work with and spent hours with us discussing the venue, food, timing, and all the small details. We worked with her across multiple time zones (9 hour time difference) and she always made herself available to work with us. Wedding planning can be stressful, especially from afar, but Guiliana made this an enjoyable experience for us. The true test of the success of a wedding comes after it's all over. When I asked my wife "what would you change about the wedding day", her response was "not a single thing",

Perfectly located just blocks away from Champs-Élysées and next to several chic hotels, the space is a fabulous. The décor is classically Parisian chic with polished marble and glittering chandeliers. But what really sets it apart is the food and the service. All the waiting staff was super professional and warm--definitely different than the rest of Paris. Hopefully I'll get invited back to some other celebration!
