I admit I was wary for 2 reasons: first, for being the son of a Chinese chef and second, for being long experienced from Chinese cuisine from New York.
After twice dining at Le Pavillion Céleste, I can honestly say that I had two excellent meals!
The first meal was a Szechwan beef dish that had some Thai accents. It was richly flavorful and my portion was significantly larger (and less expensive) than I would expect if I could even find it in New York.
Tonight I had a spicy Szechwan style fish that was served in lightly battered and boneless pieces. It was another home run! Start with their chubby, crunchy spring roll appetizers (served with a light vinagrette for dipping and mint leaves to nibble on).
It's at the Liberte' Metro stop, so you can have a quiet and most enjoyable meal.
