The room was pretty decent and on our request they arranged us an Microwave as we were travelling with a toddler. They had a play room which had a TT table, a fooseball and toys for kids and a lot of coloring stuff. It was helpful when you are travelling with a toddler. Staff was able to communicate in English and was sincere. The cafeteria could have been better. But there were a lot of french restaurants around so we enjoyed our dinner outside.

We all appreciated how clean the hotel is. Our room was immaculate! Parking was available both outside and indoors, unfortunately, the indoor parking garage smelled like dead mice and the odor lingered in my car for a few hours even after I drove away. I'm hoping the bad smell in the garage was caused by a temporary rodent problem and isn't a permanent thing. I liked using the indoor pool. The hot tub was more like a lukewarm tub but it was still nice. This hotel is in a great location and I walked to Tim Horton's, the supermarket, the pharmacy, and to the downtown area. It's also right by the lake and a park. I loved the view from our room. Since I rarely eat breakfast, I didn't go to the breakfast room but the two other people in my family went and said breakfast was just ok, not bad but nothing special. The architecture of the building is different and I mostly liked it. The raw concrete aesthetic in the room was not to my taste but I did like the design of the lobby and the chill music playing by the elevators. I'm glad we stayed in this hotel!

All rooms have a mini-fridge, microwave and best of all, a Keurig coffee machine. Beds are comfortable and come with plenty of pillows. While this was not a factor in our visit, it was a welcome surprise when we arrived.

Has a sort of cottage feel, but even the cheapest room has a TV, air conditioning, and a private bathroom--also a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. Note that, while our room did have a computer, it didn't have an operating system installed. There is free WiFi, though, so bring a laptop. It's a very modern hotel the lobby is really nice and the rooms are sleek and comfortable. Each room has a balcony and an open floor design for maximum lighting when you want it. I love that there are nespresso machines and pods in every room. When you drive up from outside you don't know if it's a hotel or a hospital or an apartment building. But it doesn't take away from the hotel. The food at the restaurant was good and the service too. They miss out a little on not having a proper cocktail menu, however with their full bar there is plenty to choose from. We got the "gourmand" meal package, the choice of food was good and it was plenty of food. They are accommodating to gluten sensitivity, and many items lturn out not to have gluten in the ingredients. Some things that were wrong with this place need to be put out there the most important being the insulation between the floors are nonexistant. At 7:30AM we had high heels pounding back and forth for over an hour in the room above us. So no sleeping in unless your on the top floor. Another thing that made no sense is that you invest 100s of millions of dollars in a huge facility, decide that the lobby is worth investing in a nice pool table, but cut corners on pool sticks. There were no sticks. There was a short stick for tight areas, which there are none, and the one and only stick they had, which was in the administration office, was crooked and the tip broken. I can't understand with the space they have, there isn't even a single rack for sticks. Granted it's a hotel lobby not a pool hall but if your going to invest in a pool table, then spend a few bucks on some good sticks so your guests can use it. All that being said it is a nice place which I will stay at again and go to while I'm in Thetford Mines. I really enjoyed my stay. N.B. this place also falls victim of the common problem in Thetford Mines which is not enough staff, which is no fault of the hotels, and did not significantly impact the service we had.
