I really liked the museum, which is divided into floors by historical periods. I especially enjoyed the floor with retro cars, even including jukeboxes for playing music and other authentic items like vintage cameras. There were many tourists from China. During the tour, there was a gas leak, so we were evacuated, and administartion offered us 10% discount on coffee at the museum's restaurant. read more

There are museums and there are car shows. I came expecting a car show and I got a museum. There's a small ticket price and you go up to the top of 3 floors and spiral your way down. Tons of cars, motorcycles, and other transportation from Audi to see here. Bring your smartphone and headphones as there's an app with many tours you can walk through (or just pull up some audio/text description about any vehicle on demand). You'll be done in a few hours but it's really a fantastic curation, layout, and super cool set of cars. read more

This Audi museum is located in the city of Ingolstadt on the Audi Forum. I was pleasantly surprised and inspired by this museum's collection and thoughtful display of the brand's history and direction. Without spoiling for others, the elevator felt like a time travel machine as you start on the third floor and work your way down. How it's structured circularly you'll start at the very beginning chronologically and will end at the ground floor with their most current cars. A big highlight was their light technology and how the brand has evolved over time. It's a great museum for families and car fans! Highly recommended! Audi HQ at Ingolstadt is 80 km north of Munich. The place offers a rare opportunity of touring an Audi factory (for 7 euro), where one can visit a state of the art automobile production line and see how armies of robots each up to 10 feet tall running themselves and assembling cars made to order. The only complaint is no photo allowed. The museum also provides a guided tour of its exhibitions, which tells good stories about the early history of the automobile industry. read more

Audi......it's just cool! A friend of mine who works for this amazing car company took me through this museum. Really fantastic place to visit when in this area. If you have any interest in the history of cars, or just happen to be a car enthusiast, this is the place to be. About 14 levels of Audi from one era to the other takes you from the beginnings up to the modern era. An exciting twist is seeing how they went from being a standard 4 door automobile for the family to a top end luxury car. The development of the technology is pretty amazing and the story is fascinating. There is a nice gift shop attached but it's pretty expensive. If you're in the area, give yourself a few hours and stroll through. Certainly something to talk about back home! read more

What a pleasant surprise on our way home. We stopped in Ingolstadt, the house of Audi just for a minute and we were really pleased this fantastic museum. For just 2 euros and free parking, we got to see 3 floors of history. Exhibition is done in a very contemporary way, with a fantastic mobile cinema on the bottom and a paternoster that shows interesting models of cars and is seen on every floor. History start at the top, and the elevator takes you through a journey through time, even by showing you, which year you are in! The journey is really long and you start on the beginning of the 19th century. Videos and other multimedia exhibitions bring you back in time. The progress from car to car is so visible, you are wondering how did they manage all this development in such a short time! Most interesting were of course racing cars, which really moved the history of moto sport. Dont miss a bottom part of the exhibition hidden behind the cinema wall. A long glass wall full of small car models puts every model into perspective and completes the understanding of this wonderful development. Time well spent, I recommend all car lovers to stop by. read more
