My experience with Audio Video Plus, in steps: 1. Bring in turntable, which was dropping audio sporadically. Owner tells me he can fix it in a week, takes my $50 deposit, says he will be in touch soon. 2. Wait six months without getting a single phone call. Occasionally drop in to check in, and, on the rare occasion that he's there, be told that he's almost got it figured out. Wonder why he couldn't make a 30 second phone call to fill me in on that. 3. Finally get frustrated, demand turntable back when he admits that he hasn't gotten anywhere (still not a single call to let me know what was going on). 4. Realize that not only have I wasted $50 and six months, but the cartridge isn't even the same and the turntable is actually worse off than when I brought it in. Curse owner, try to stop in several times to find that he's out, finally give up because it's just not worth getting this angry over electronics. Worst service I've ever encountered. If you want to blow your deposit on a guy who doesn't appear to know what he's doing OR how to work a phone, this is the place for you. read more

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Took my high end tape deck deck in be serviced even though this shop has done poor service before. Wanted to give the local one more shot. Took weeks for him to look at it. Claimed it was good to go and fully tested. NOT!!! I wasted my money and time, and now my tape deck is worse off and I am going to have to send it out of state to a specialty shop for restoration after what he did. I had no problem. Had a number of things fixed there... and at reasonable prices. But now, when I call, it says the phone is "not in service." Are they gone? I've also had very good response at Custom TV Stereo in Natick (222 Main St.), so if Audio Video Plus is gone, then they might be able to help. read more
