They continuously miss your trash pickup days, the office is terribly rude when you call (literally every single time) and make it known that they are miserable where they work, it's seems like no one ever really knows what's going on. Waste Management is pretty bad too, but I'm thinking we would have better and more constant service with WM. Also, the reviews on here are all the same...missing pick ups and rude office staff...why would the hire ups not make changes?! read more

I always print out the calendar that is on their website and if things change I am always notified. Office staff has always been very helpful. My only complaint is that my can is put to close to the curb and when the big trucks go by the wind they produce causes my can to be turned over, sometimes in the road. I am 75 and in bad health and it is a struggle to get it back up and going. They are better than my mail person who does not always close my mail box door causing the mail to blow all over my yard by the traffic that is going so fast. I have tried other companies and this company has been the best for me. read more

On January 10, an Augusta Disposal and Recycling truck backed over my mailbox after garbage pickup. There were three men in the vehicle and not one of them got out prior to backing up to make sure they didn't hit anything. This type of incident was totally avoidable if one person would have exited the vehicle to guide it back. I don't care how cold it was, get out the vehicle and do your job. I've made several calls and left messages with one of the company's representative, to get this issue resolved, but no one has returned my calls yet. This is unacceptable! read more

Garbage customer service from a garbage company. Oh, the irony. Someone initially set our account up wrong for Wednesday pick up five years ago. Our trash has been picked up EVERY Saturday for the past 5 years whether or not our account has said Wednesday. Our trash cans even say "SAT" on both of them, probably why the trash truck has picked them up. But after calling in to stop service because we are moving out of state, this triggered their drivers not to pick up our trash last Saturday... When calling to ask why my trash wasn't picked up, they argued with me because my account says pickups are on Wednesday... never has it been picked up on a Wednesday, but okay. I don't understand how something so simple could've led the ladies at the office into an argument with me. Gina threatened to charge my account for the additional Saturday pick up for the past 5 years (even though we never put our trash out on Wednesdays) The incompetency is astonishing to me. Seeing as my trash cans say SAT... I don't know how I AM the one that is confused here. read more

It seems like every Monday they skip over my house and I have to call and get it picked up Wednesday. They drive around at 6 am so my trash is on my curb from Sunday evening till Wednesday evening because Wednesday they come at 0900 and I'm at work. More than half the week my trash is at the curb. read more

Did not send us a bill for 6 months - either printed or emailed. Did not go to junk folder either. Cancelled my service and charged me $40 to reconnect. Lady over the phone told me that I knew I was receiving service and should've paid a statement I NEVER received! If the local guys can't figure out how to collect on their accounts then I'll have to go with the corporate service providers. Again, the lady on the phone was uncaring and accepted no responsibility. She told me that was a decision that was up to me. read more

I had precision who was bought by waste management and then advanced or whoever was next. Each buyout I thought we might get better service. They kept missing my cans and refusing to come back out. But Augusta disposal has been on time, courteous, and I haven't had one single issue. Great job guys. Keep it up. Also- don't let anyone buy you out please. read more

We signed up with ADR over two years ago when we moved to the area. We were very pleased with the fact that their service did not require separating recyclables (and trusted that this actually got done on their end). Periodically, we would have stuff to be picked up that was too big for the bin and the guys on the trucks would take it away without fuss. After returning from a recent vacation, we again had stuff that needed picking up so we put it out with the bin, just like always. However, this time, all of the extra stuff was left AND two trash bags that were actually in the bin were removed and put with the stuff left behind. But this isn't the reason for the low rating and for us leaving ADR for a more customer-friendly operation. When I called to inquire about the stuff left behind, the lady who answered the phone decided that I was apparently trying to scam them or otherwise take advantage of their pick-up policy. Yes, I knew that if we had large items we needed to call and have that picked up extra. But the fact that we had a little bit of extra after 4 consecutive services where they had nothing to pick up was not something that this wonderful woman could comprehend. Rather, she started yelling at me that "being gone on vacation was not their problem" and "this policy has been in place since 1991" (as if I did not know). She had no interest in even listening to my question or my case for why this was an unexpectedly unpleasant surprise. She wanted to be right. Even when we called to finally cancel the service, the woman who answered didn't even bother to ask why we were canceling. We have found customer service in the CSRA is generally pathetic. And this company is just another example of why. If you don't wish to be jerked around and talked down to as a customer, there are other options (e.g., Meridian Waste). Might have to take on some of the separation myself, but leaving behind customer-unfriendly businesses is worth the extra effort on my part. Oh...and now we are told there is to be no refund of the roughly 2.5 months of service we've already paid for, but now do not need. #Classy read more

When I signed up with Augusta Disposal almost 6 weeks ago, they told me they couldn't get me a can until Nov 17. OK. 2021 shortages are normal. I can use my own can or leave out bags of trash. That lasi isn't going to happen. Nov 17th came and went. No updates and no can, so I emailed. Quick response. Great. We have you set up for a Friday delivery, but no promises. Got to sanitze them. Do you want to cancel service. Er..., no I dont "want" to cancel my trash pick up the Friday before Thankgiving. Still no can. Emailed again. Explained a monday delivery would keep my business because I would have a can for Thanksgiving trash. Nope. We don't have any cans. Do you want us to cancle your service? So... I'm writing reviews while waiting for Meridian to call me back. Honest communication would have kept me out of this bind for Thanksgiving. Not a happy camper. Would not recommend. read more

We switched to Augusta Disposal about 8 years ago after learning about their recycling program, as they took a larger group of items than our previous company would take. Recycling is very important to my family, so that was the critical factor in making the switch. Several years ago, they changed to single stream pick up, so it doesn't get any easier than that! At first it felt strange to throw our recycling in with our regular trash, but it was easy to get spoiled lol.The quarterly price is very low ($69 per quarter for once a week collection), and hasn't changed in all the years we've had their services. If you have extras, like yard waste, you simply buy yellow stickers at Circle K and place them on the bags and put them out with your regular toter for pick up. They saved me from Advanced Disposal a while back. I've had them for a couple years now and I highly recommend them. The single stream recycling is very convenient. They are very reliable. They've never missed a pick up and send their holiday pick up schedule well in advance. Never had an issue with billing or service. Customer service always available and helpful. read more

We used this service for years without issues. When we cancelled, they failed to pick up their can, though they did not stop at our house or attempt to continue servicing the property. They did attempt to continue to bill us, which was straightened out with a few phone calls we thought. Then they sent a bill we didn't owe to collections for a service they didn't provide, and the debt has never been validated. Buyer beware! read more

The best disposal company is the one you don't know is there. They pick up our trash regularly and reliably. They charge fair rates and don't leave messes. Hands down the best Trash company in Columbia County. Every time we have called the office, the staff was respectful and extremely helpful. A couple times we have forgotten to put our trash out, and they came back the next day free of charge. We also love their Single-Stream recycling program. As passionate we are about recycling, it's nice that we don't have to separate the recyclables from the trash. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. they will tell you you haven't made a payment and they have no notes on your account when I have BANK STATEMENTS AND PHONE LOGS stating when I called and what I paid. The lady in accounting is VERY VERY VERY unprofessional and rude. disrespectful. all the bad words you can think of. I would never recommend my worst enemy (if I had one) go here and use there service. You will be very disappointed and they will send you to collections when you tried to call and pay!!! crazy way of doing business. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!
