I asked the ladies at the front if they could give me change (so I could get a cart), to which they replied no. After hearing me curse to my boyfriend quietly they asked if I needed it for a cart and so they handed me an Obi chip. I picked up a few pots of flowers and shortly thereafter 2 - 3 employees escorted me to the cashier service. There, another 10 - 12 Obi employees sat in their chair and watched customers wait in line to pay. You need to get this image in your head: you are the manager of a store with 10-12 employees who are sitting on their butt looking at customers, while the customers are waiting in a long line to pay. Buying flowers is generally a happy, positive, fun experience. Obi ruined it for me.

I purchased about 100 liters of soil at a pretty decent price. I also got several pots of flowers - and the amazing thing is - all of the flowers I purchased here 2 months ago are still in bloom and alive. Try to make that happen with flowers from Aldi or Lidl! This place is HUGE and the variety in flowers and trees is immense. The prices are high - that's the sad part. But... the flowers last and that's what counts. The service is good. I do wish they had more people walking around and sharing tips on care. I am looking forward to my next trip here soon!
