I used Ron Henderson & Associates to sell the home my ex-husband and I jointly owned. Ron suggested…read morehis associate Kevin Buchan. Since it was a divorce, I asked that things be kept separate. That I receive all my information from him and there'd be zero contact between my ex-husband and me. I also let him know that I was a first-time seller and that I would need guidance throughout the process. None of the things I requested before signing the contract were honored. Kevin would only communicate with my ex-husband and information was consistently sent to an email I never provided him with. Throughout the whole process, I was left out of the loop. Kevin gave my ex-husband all the power in the sale of our home. As a woman fresh out of an abusive relationship and working on gaining back their power. I felt uncomfortable and as if I was being preyed upon for his financial gain. He'd give my ex-husband information, then my ex-husband would contact with the information. Afterward, I'd try to contact Kevin to confirm the information. He wouldn't respond to my messages. Every email was please sign this with an explanation of what the document was. And because of this lack of communication, it'd take me longer to sign documents. So I was made to feel like I was delaying the process. Kevin took advantage of the situation all to fatten his pockets. At first, I was going to keep silent but after talking to his boss and his response to the situation was "thanks for letting me know." I couldn't keep silent. Women deserved to be treated fairly and their voices should be heard. My name was on the deed, so it was just as much mine and it was my ex-husbands. The way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable. I was never offered an apology, so if you're looking to sell or buy a home. Stay away from Ron Henderson & Associates. There are other realtors out there who'll respect you and put in the work and earn the commission.

I apologized for this and explained my lack of response was due to travelling for work. He proceeded to say that because I did not respond to his email, that it was my fault that he lost a commission. It was extremely unprofessional and immature to be blamed for his loss in commission when I was only inquiring about a rental property through Zillow. I had never spoken with him before this and did not hire an agent for my search. I was very disappointed that he blamed me for his pit falls and hope that this doesn't reflect the rest of the group. David is not someone I would ever work with or recommend in the future.
