To previous poster: That is amazing. And I also am a woman. This is my experience: I travel 30kms and pass many GP practices to access Dr O'Kennedy in Millrow family a Practice. I believe he is worth it. Mature, experienced and knowledgable as he, he is hungry to keep updated. Frustrations of GP Practice aside, he listens, engages, and gives counsel and TIME where and as needed. When I wait in the waiting room, I know others who need that time are not being rushed so I don't mind. Follow ups and referrals are seamless and thorough. Blood results are fed back. And Referrals are timely - again, sometimes incurring delays on those waiting. His reputation goes before him; "he goes the extra mile". And his ability with children in renowned. I'm sure he inspires many child patients into Medicine and Nursing. He has ours! My dealings with the two other GPS have been very satisfactory. I have dealt with Martina and Joanne for 12 years. I find both efficient, loyal, discreet - most importantly - and competent. Always professional. I don't know the other two receptionists over the same time but they seem well chosen and I have never had any issue. Staff turnover is low. Staff appear loyal. Zara the Practise Nurse is exceptional - professional, competent, efficient, warm. I think there is a second Practise Nurse - professional and gentle. It is a great family Practice. Aideen read more

I could not have found a more perfect Physician and Staff than Dr. O'Kennedy of the Mil Row Practice. Coming from America, last year, I was apprehensive of the health care I would receive. When I had an emergency at my house a relative suggested I ring Dr. O'Kennedy. Dr. O'Kennedy was in my home within 15 minutes of my call. He attended to the sick person who needed hospital care. Dr. O'Kennedy called the ambulance for us. He was so polite, helpful and caring. This was my first encounter with Dr. O'Kennedy. Since then I have been using the Mil Row practice and have found from the minute I walk in until I check out at the desk, the staff is kind, caring, and very helpful. The Doctors have always followed up on our visits, blood tests, etc. The Practicing doctors at Mil Row are also sensitive to our needs and show that they are listening to what I am saying, and taking appropriate action. Two secretaries are unfriendly and hostile, immature arrogance. Male doctors are uninterested, equally arrogant and demeaning and patronising towards women. The senior doctor is rude and arrogant , unprofessional and very abnoxious. The younger male doctor acts as if he'd rather be anywhere else than in clinic. Tense atmosphere in waiting room. I was waiting for almost an hour before being seen by a doctor. This tends to be the norm.The whole clinic is run very unprofessionally. Even the nurse seems to be stressed and unable to focus. Very strange atmosphere. I didn't find anyone working there to be caring or helpful in any way. It has the feel of a clinic that has not changed perspective in the last 30 years. The doctors I've seen were not up to date on patient after care at all. They need to move with the times, and get proper up to date training. One of the worst clinics I've attended. read more
