The worst employment experience ever for me. The turn over rate is horrible and now I understand…read morewhy!!! The daycare/ pre-school DOES NOT have janitors on staff !!! If a teacher, teacher assistant, or floater is hired then they are expected to clean ALL the classrooms by the end of the day. As a teacher assistant I was scrubbing toilets, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting EVERYTHING. Then you are not allowed to take your time. It's rush, rush, rush. They don't warn you about all the janitorial duties from the beginning. You also have to pay for your own physical before being hired. I had no health insurance and I was a single parent. Don't bother asking for reimbursement. Then staff members are forced to sit on concrete floors covered by thin rugs WHILE holding young infants. No back support while rocking infants is so painful. Your tail bone is killing you by the end of the day. The staff members were so sweet and polite. Most were helpful but some couldn't wait to complain to management about you. It would be greatly appreciated if the teachers/leads would speak to you about your mistakes BEFORE running to the office. Back biting and tattling at its best!!! The teachers will smile and tell you that you're doing a fabulous job. Then BAM !!!! So sad but lesson learned.

The only positive this about this place is that you're an hour away from Nashville, TN. I first came to Ft. Campbell for pre-deployment training back in 2004 before going to Afghanistan. While we were there, we had an ice storm. Which was pretty for 2 seconds. But it was brutally cold. Lucky for us, I just found out recently this will be my husband's last duty station. Thank God it will only be for a short time so he can retire. But I'd expect to see a lot of Nashville activity come up in the next couple years.

The famous guitarist, Jimi Hendrix, joined the 101st Airborne Division, where he was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He spent much his time their playing his guitar. He was later honorably discharged following an ankle injury, as his problems were judged to not be treatable by "hospitalization or counseling". Fort Campbell lies on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee. Outside of the gate is Clarksville, Tennessee. They have a lot of popular fast food places here like Burger King, Taco Bell, Subway, and Smoothie King. You don't need a military ID to buy fast food or to get a coffee at their Starbucks too.

This is now considered a school you go to for status only and not because the parents are insisting on excellence. It's expensive. But for many here this is a status symbol. These parents care more about what kind of car they are picking up their kids in than insisting on being competitive with other schools in advanced courses. These parents want to equate the country club with the schools but don't want to have activites at the school for education. Kids are not challeged here or encoraged to look beyond their privleged lives. I think when they get to college some patents may see the waste of this $6000 a year.

Children are challenged outside of pure academics as well, for instance they must learn early on how to present themselves before a crowd and use a microphone... a skill set needed for all future leaders. I appreciate how the faculty and staff are always open to hear from parents regarding their children and their academic, social, and emotional progress.
