The chlorine levels were dangerously high (pool company said DO NOT GO INTO THE POOL) and the salt was too high which I knew because he dumped too much salt into the pool. It had already been diluted by rain water which was pumped out and was still too high. I encourage all customers who are reading that are being serviced by Gold Coast Pool "Pro's" ..sic.. to get a sample of their to Leslie's pool store and get a free test. I had also suspected that Casey was Justin's gf. She wrote a 5-star review in Google and then wrote a 5-star review in Yelp after my 1-star review. Here's her 5-star review of her bf's company: "Casey Gomez 2 reviews 6 months ago Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I use his services for my vacation homes. We then agreed to a weekly maintenance program. I have used other pool maintenance companies in the past and most of them we a horrible value. They would stop by for less than ten minutes and then leave while charging premium prices. Robert, on the other hand has been spending 30 minutes or more every visit. The first visit he probably spent two to three hours or more getting the pool back. He adjusted chemicals, scrubbed the tile and turned the pool clear blue again. The Pool Doctor is a newer business which isn't a bad thing. He devotes the time he has to his clients in a way the big companies don't. I would definitely recommend him.

The startup guy my pool…read morebuilder hired to start the equipment and balance the water messed up bad and added way too much cyanuric acid (more than 100ppm). PebbleTec says to have no more than 30ppm during the first 4 weeks. There are two ways to fix high cyanuric acid problems, 1) drain and refill, 2) filter it out using reverse osmosis. PebbleTec strongly discouraged the drain/refill option as it could damage the new PebbleSheen finish. That's where Pacific Pools came into the picture. I called on a Thursday and spoke with Travis. He said he could be there Monday morning and fix my problem. He showed up on time, was professional, knowledgeable, informative and friendly. The RO process took about 10 hours. At the end of it all the water was back within PebbleaTec's recommended startup range.
