I should have asked for his name but he was a tall African American gentleman who walked around the store helping me find a battery operated lamp/light after Hurricane Zeta hit us. I was checking out with my windshield wiper fluid and offhandedly asked if they had any battery operated lamps. After processing my purchase he walked around the store and showed me all the battery operated lamps/lights that they had. I truly appreciated his help bc I was on a quest to find the perfect lamp! Haha :) Anywho, I wanted to also add that as I was waiting in line he saw that I just had one thing in my hand and the other people in line were waiting to ask for particular things behind the counter so he promptly checked me out. I can get wiper blades, car batteries, head lights, engine belts, etc. Everything I need, although most of the real stuff is behind the counter. Quite a few specialty tools available for rent (I would never have gotten that belt tight enough without their tensioner). The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Store is well lit and clean. I even acquired Christmas presents here the year when everyone's stocking received a car emergency window hammer with seat belt cutter (one of those gizmos that if after an accident, you can't open a car door or escape from your seat belt, the tool will save the day and probably your life).

In the mean time, it's trash night, they moved my trash cans from my property to get the car. None of this would had been a big deal if they would had at least put my property back rather than leaving it how they did it for something that had nothing to do with me and my property. Additionally, the driver apparently isn't suitable for this type of job because he had to get another neighbor help him move the vehicle as well - and not the neighbor whos property it's on. It's all recorded on my security cameras.

Jakes was there within 30 min and the car was gone. tow truck driver went above and beyond to hook it up. went the next morning to Avondale to get it and called AAA to have someone come replace the tire with the spare. because it was in a puddle the AAA (United) driver wasn't happy and was being stubborn and Jakes team was nice enough to get it to the parking lot in front of the building. for some reason, the AAA driver yelled something out of his vehicle door and took off from Jakes without changing the tire, and without telling me what was going on. Jakes team changed the tire for me. they didn't have to do that. so I asked if they had a part that my sister needed for her car and I bought it and was on my way. Jakes went above and beyond. all the guys were nice and friendly. just wish AAA would contract with Jakes.
