To make matters worse, FMA left my yacht in unsafe and hazardous conditions. They left the…read morescaffolding dangerously unstable around my yacht, and at one point, scaffolding was even thrown at me during a disagreement. The level of aggression and carelessness was appalling and left me genuinely concerned for my safety.
Additionally, FMA left the yacht wrapped in a cocoon for over three months with no work being done; with no ventilation; during rainy season. This led to water building up inside the cocoon, which caused further damage. The hazardous conditions they left the yacht in were completely unacceptable.
Despite all this, FMA still owes me €11,943.80 for incomplete and poorly executed work. Samuel, one of their subcontractors, an apparent professional welder failed all welding on visual basis alone(Myself as a qualified NDT inspector and a Level 3 cooberating ). He owes me an additional €1,500, plus €2,000 for the appalling quality of welding. It was clear from the start that they had no intention of fulfilling their contractual obligations, but instead sought to exploit my trust.
The amount mentioned above is a conservative figure, merely representing what is owed from the €72,000 contract we agreed upon to bring my hull up to a specified standard.
Given I had to pay to have my hull scrapped; I was left more in debt due to FMAs actions.
The entire project was a disaster, marked by delays, threats, unsafe working environments, and damages to my yacht that make it unsalvageable. FMA's lack of accountability, professionalism, and quality control cost me dearly. I would urge anyone considering working with them to stay away. This company is not only unprofessional but also dangerous.
