I called on a Monday and made an appointment for Wednesday at 10am. I was told it would take about an hour. I called Wednesday morning to confirm my appointment and the SAME person who I spoke to on Monday said, "Who told you 10 am?" She asked if I could come back in the afternoon instead. I couldn't. I explained I had to wait for the car because I didn't have a ride. She told me to come back the next morning and that it would take two hours. I came back and they were jam packed with people waiting. I was told to leave my car in the parking lot and that it would take three hours. I tried to explain that I had already been rescheduled and the guy at the counter cut me off and said, "If you have an appointment, it just means I can see you that day, not that I have a technician who can help you." Excellent service. Had a tire shipped from Tirerack. Asked when was a good time to come by. They told me to come at 3pm. I arrived and they removed old tire, installed and balanced new tire in 25 minutes. All done in 30 minutes. On top of that they only charged me $25. Great price and service. read more

Had a nail in my tire. Was sent to this establishment by the techs at Jiffy Lube. Was on my way to a funeral and was desperate. The Autotech staff was very accommodating and took me out of turn. They sold me a tire for almost $200. Coincidentally, I had scheduled routine maintenance the next day with my longtime mechanic who is very reputable. He told me the tire that Firestone sold to me was junk, a brand he had NEVER even heard of. He put the tire in my trunk and I took it back. I told the manager what my mechanic had said. The manager saw the invoice from my mechanic and acknowledged that he knows him and he is reputable. I asked to speak to the owner and he said he was " in charge". I would not recommend this place. I took my truck to them for a radiator leak. They claimed they fixed it. Less than 4 days later it started to leak again. I dropped my truck off as soon as they opened this morning so they could fix it. I called twice during the day and once near closing. Only to find out that it still has not been serviced. So I drove it away still leaking antifreeze. (STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF CAN). They will rip you off !!! read more

Long story short.... I needed a replacement tire and was in hurry, being a man who cares about supporting his towns local business. I thought I would give this place a try, first off the customer service is horrid, the "manager" behind the counter... I think his name is Boris, or maybe that is the name I matched with his face. Anyways I had my pregnant wife and daughter in the car ( it was a very hot day).. I told him what we needed and he gave me quote for the tire( I thought it was a little expensive), but I proceeded anyway. Here is the kicker, he replaced the on the wheel, but did not want to help me put back my spare under the car... the mechanic was actually in the process of the putting the spare back under my car, because the MECHANIC realized that I had a baby and pregnant wife in the car and could not stay out in the heat for a long time.... the MANAGER BORIS told the mechanic to stop what he was doing because I did not pay for that and I would have to wait for him to put my spare back under my car, which takes about 2 minutes... I have been dealing with Autotech for all my luxury cars for over 15 years. Tires, breaks, engine issues, etc. They will accomodate you anytime and in emergencies immediately. My spouse took his truck there in June and was told there was a piece to be ordered before they can fix the car. They quoted him a price of $1500 I paid on my Firestone card $1000 for them to start the work. Every time he called to see if the car was ready or the part was received it was one story to the other from the part was ordered to the part has to come from somewhere else, or the part was reordered. It is now a month and half later and he is now being told the balance owed for the car is $900 instead of the $500 and not even that the car is ready or no update as to why the price went up from what was previously quoted. Unacceptable. During this time not only was he inconvenienced using other cars for work but they never provided any detail as to what was wrong with the car what part is being replaced and had the audacity to get upset that he was upset with no answers when he inquired. Under no circumstance would I recommend this place and am seeking a refund to my card for services not rendered within a adequate time frame as I paid the bill before the car was fixed. Unfortunately the quality of service was so poor that I am prompted to write the first negative review i have ever written. I brought my car in for a transmission fluid leak, waited patiently for 3 hours as they "repaired" it, paid, and left. Three days later, the problem was worse than ever. I brought it back at 10am on a Monday morning, and didn't leave until 5pm. Around 1:00 I asked Santana how much longer he thought it would take. He said "I don't know" and said that I "shouldn't be complaining" and "can't expect to have them work on it right away". When I came in for the initial repair I was on time for the early morning appointment they assigned me, but apparently it was also an unrealistic expectation that I shouldn't have to bring my car back less than a week later for the same issue. I've since learned (not being car savvy) that a Firestone was not the best choice to have a transmission leak treated. OK - granted. However, the discourtesy I experienced was extreme, unnecessary, and echoed by other customers. During my time waiting, I overhead more than one person walk in and say, "Hey, I brought my car in a few days ago and you said you fixed it, and now it's got the same problem, but worse". Instead of owning up to their mistakes, the Vauxhall Auto Tech uses inconsideration and rudeness to make an inconvenient experience downright miserable. read more

I brought in 4 tires with valve stems/caps to be replaced and balanced on my car. They did the job while I waited. It took about an hour, and when I looked at the bill, I noticed a charge for additional parts. Apparently they "missed" the premium chrome valve stems/caps included with my new Yokohamas and used cheap ones instead. Santana, the guy behind the counter became rude and snarky once I asked him to please remove the charge and return my premium valves to me. He devolved into sexism, unfortunately, suddenly tacking on "sweetheart" after every brusque sentence. I perceived this as antagonism and asked to see the manager. Santana said he was the manager. Now I felt more deflated than the tires he'd just replaced. For not only was I a new customer but first and foremost a paying customer who deserved to be treated with respect, especially when an issue needed resolving. Santana's boorish attitude was rude, and although the tire replacement went well enough, he has lost my business due to his lack of manners, tact, and customer service. read more

Bought 2 tires from TireRack and had them shipped to AutoTech Car Care. Owner called me day after they were delivered asking when I was coming in, nice touch. Called him urgently a week later (i couldn't find time to come in) asking if I could come in same day, was alarmed how little tread i had left. Owner was happy to accommodate me. I got there 15 minutes late and he told me, "2 hours". Fair enough. Walked back 1 1/2 hours later and saw him standing there on phone. He was calling me that car was ready. I shook his hand, gave him $50 bucks for his services and couldn't be happier. I will be a repeat customer. read more

Had a flat (rear passenger side), actually a slow leak due to nail stuck in tire. Lately i've had to top it more frequently as in everyday. Obviously, time for new tires but not quite ready to do so yet. Anyway I stopped by to add a little air and decided on repair instead. It was 5:30 pm, and Autotech was closing for the night in a few minutes. Anyway, they repaired the tyre quickly and effectively with a plug. My bill was $10.00 but I only had 8 bucks in my wallet. Santana, co-manager, graciously accepted the $8 as payment. Very nice, and much appreciated. If tire holds up I have myself some decent grace period, to get ready for new tires. read more

On Friday, November 27,2015, my goddaughter was visiting from Connecticut for the Thanksgiving holiday and needed to replace a wheel and tire on her car. We stopped by the FIRESTONE-Auto Tech Car Care & Tires get a quote and decided to return for the repair. After dropping off the wheel and tire my goddaughter was charged $288 IN ADVANCE on her credit card, and told to bring the car in the next day,Saturday November 28, to complete the repair. The man who claimed to be the owner, personally called and ordered wheel and tire, with the make and model after he assessed the damaged. We were told to bring the car in the next day before the repair shop closed at 2 pm. My goddaughter called ahead at 11:30 am on Saturday to confirm that her wheel and tire had been delivered. The man on the phone confirmed and we proceeded to the repair shop. We entered the establishment and the man behind the counter asked her to pull her car in so that they may install the wheel and tire. After 15 minutes that same man, who was the shop manager, came out from the garage and into the store and stated to my goddaughter that "there was a problem". He said that "they delivered the wrong wheel and that her tire was not lining up with what was delivered". He arrogantly stated that "There was nothing he could do about it until Monday". My goddaughter is from Connecticut and was leaving Sunday afternoon. Driving from our house to the auto repair shop was hazardous and to try to send her back on the road with no remedy for their mistake was absolutely reckless and with no regard for her safety or other motorists. Her car's computer system has an auto shut off when the traction is off balance. She could not drive 5 minutes let alone two hours back to Connecticut. Being that the wheel and tire was in their possession from the day before, the shop manager was NEGLIGENT when the delivery arrived because he did not check it and placed the blame on their supplier. The shop manager REFUSED repeatedly to call the owner, REFUSED to give me the number, REFUSED assistance with finding another repair shop, REFUSED to give a cash refund (once a credit card transaction is processed, the refund takes 3-5 days to appear on the account). This created financial hardship to find additional cash during the holidays. This situation was unnecessary and hindered us from doing business with a reputable and responsible establishment. The shop manager and cashier were grossly disrespectful and only added insult to injury. I was outraged with anger at the shop manager's nonchalant and careless attitude. This entire matter had upset my family and I during this holiday. I have suffered mental anguish and migraine headaches over the safety and travels of my goddaughter. We reached out to FIRESTONE to lodge a complaint and were informed that AUTO TECH CAR CARE & TIRES IS AN INDEPENDENT DEALER THAT SELLS FIRESTONE TIRES. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE FIRESTONE CORPORATION. FIRESTONE HAS MAINTAINED AN OUTSTANDING REPUTATION FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE OVER THE YEARS AND SHOULD NOT BE VIEWED IN THE SAME LIGHT AS AUTO TECH CAR CARE & TIRES. I came to the conclusion from other customers that had dealt with this business previously, that bad customer service is a chronic disorder. One of their customers had returned with a complaint while my goddaughter was placing a order. Another customer we met shortly after leaving the establishment at a local Exxon, who had a bad experience in 2013, never came back and never referred friends and family. He stated "things haven't changed". PLEASE PLEASE IF THERE IS ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE FIRESTONE-AUTO TECH CAR CARE & TIRES PLEASE COME OUT OF SILENCE AND LET THE PUBLIC KNOW. THIS BUSINESS NEEDS A WAKE UP CALL BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ABOVE THE POLICIES THAT GOVERN EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT IS YOUR DECISION IF YOU SHOULD DECIDE TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. ZERO ON EVERYTHING. DO NOT GO HERE, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. On Nov 27th my tire and rim needed repair on my 2012 Chevy Malibu LS. My rim had bent and needed to seriously be repaired. I am orginally from CT and was heading back on Sunday Nov 29th and haul the 3 hour drive. I came across "Firestone" location 2272 Springfield Ave Vauxhall,NJ 07088. The owner of the location looked at my tire and rim that needed the repair took the proper measurements and all the information needed to place the order. Altogether he told me it would be $288 and to bring my car into the shop the following day Nov 28th by 11:30-12pm. Now this is where everything goes south. I called before leaving my god mothers house whom I was visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday and the man on the phone said everything was all set. We proceed to go and about 15 mins later the supervisor or man in charge of the front desk told me "we have a problem". This was not the owner I had previously seen and spoken to when I came in Friday Nov 27th. The man in charge of the front desk told me they had the wrong tire and rim and it wasn't fitting. My god mother jumped in and demand to speak to the Manger and he REFUSED to call him, he REFUSED to give us the managers number as well. He DID NOT assist me with finding another place who could help me with my car, and he most definitely DID NOT display good quality of customer service. The only solution he had was to come back Monday after I clearly told him I was leaving SUNDAY afrernoon! The only thing he could do was refund me my $288 back onto my debit card and even that was a disservice to me because it takes 2-3 business days to clear. I have NEVER dealt with anything like this before. I believe I was taken advantage of because I am out of state, a new car holder, and a female. I did not know that any car dealership SHOULD NOT be taking your payment until AFTER the service is already completed.
