The only competent place in Queens. I got a 2002 Mitsubishi a few months ago. These old cars have a problem connecting to the DMV's server so they can't actually pass inspection. Two places in LIC couldn't do it- ok fine. But the actual Mitsubishi dealership/ repair shop in woodside couldn't - had us leave the car there for two weeks and still didn't do it! Finally, we came here because of some post we found on Reddit, and it was so easy, they had it done in an hour or so- all they had to do was contact the DMV- they had the direct number to the correct department and show the guy a picture that the car passed and bam, I had my inspection sticker. Plus I went back another time to have them actually work on some things like the brakes and they were great- they gave me an accurate estimate and adhered to it, and I got my car back in a few days. I attempted to have my car inspected here to no avail. A gentleman told me that I could not pass a NYS inspection with ANY amount of tint on my windows. I questioned him because I know the law, and I wanted to give him a chance to correct his statement, but he chose otherwise. This interaction led me to believe he didn't want/need my business, and I was happy to go elsewhere. For educational purposes, I'm posting the law below. Trust me take your car there!!!! I've been a customer forever and I don't even live in the area anymore but still take my cars there because they are worth every penny! Laurie the office manager is a fixture there forever so she knows cars! But the owner Giuseppe isn't one of these sleezy douchebags who want you to fix everything so he can make a few extra bucks out of you. Brought my dads car here after a recommendation, the first place I brought the car said I needed new brake pads and rotors. Which didn't sound right so I brought it here guess what the checked it out for me and it turned out that there was a bit rust on it from all the rain lately and the car hasn't been used that much pads and rotors where fine, also got it inspected and oil change. Really nice service! I had to get an inspection for my car and they straight up told me I will fail because my windows were tinted so they offered to remove them. Found this place off of Yelp and thought I'd give them a chance based off of the great reviews ive found. I'm proud to be adding another great review. Went in for an inspection and the guy that helped me was very friendly and professional. They were prompt and completed my inspection in 20 minutes! So I need to get my car inspected. Go onto their website and it says call ahead so they can do it by appointment. Sounds good. Called the place, guy says the same thing, says he has two openings 11:00 am and 1pm the following day. I opt for 1. Following day rolls around, I get to the place at 12:40, speak to a guy who I'm pretty sure is the same person I spoke with yest when I made the appointment, and he says sorry, everyone out to lunch right now. First issue, if everyone takes lunch at 1, why would you schedule me in for an appointment at that time??? Guy says, come back in about ten minutes, around 1. A bit annoyed at this point, because I thought I had an appointment, and the sign by the front desk says "Inspections by appointment", but whatever, I opt to come back in a few. I park a few blocks away, wait until 1. Call the place again just to see if everyone is back from lunch. Same guy picks up, now he says well we can see you but we've got two cars ahead of you so you'll have to wait 10-20 mins. If everyone was out to lunch and you couldn't see me twenty minutes ago when I showed up initially, how is it that now suddenly there are two other guys ahead of me? And did I mention that I had an appointment initially? Increasingly annoyed. I roll back to the place, by 1:10ish. The door to the garage is shut now, but I can see there are two other cars in there that weren't there when I rolled up initially, which leads me to believe that its first come first serve, which completely negates the whole concept of making an appointment in the first place. I move through the blue door to the adjacent office/waiting area, and guess what? No one at the front desk. While while waiting there, I see the calendar board along the back wall that seems to show, by date, the names of folks who are coming in by appt/date. Lo and behold, my name is nowhere on the board, though I called in yest to make an appointment. 10-15 mins pass, now 20, now 25. No one still at the front desk. After 26 minutes, left in disgust. Bottom line? F*ck these guys. read more

I took my car (2012 Nissan) here for an inspection, which ended up taking almost THREE hours because of their lunch break. Fine, if you have other things to do while you wait for your car. When I finally got the call, my car failed because of a computer miscommunication which they claimed they would look into for an extra $95 plus the cost to fix the problem. I paid for my failed inspection and took my car to Nissan the next day, my car passed and there were no issues. Wouldn't go here again. read more

They do a very good job on explaining what needs to be done and when. They purchase reports so they know what service is recommended by the manufacturer and when it should be done. Very honest, reputable and skilled. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. read more
