Beloved has a decade-old classic Porche 911 convertible that he lovingly cares for. But, we've found that giving it the care it needs can be a risky undertaking. When they see you bring a Porche in for repairs or service, prices go way up. Worse, many of the independent garage mechanics have little idea of what they are doing. Autobahn Performance, however, is the big exception. I'd trust them with any European-built car. Years ago, I had them do some work on my then '75 Mercedes 450 SL, and they did a great job without damaging my wallet. Beloved took his Porche here. He had them do an oil change for much less than the 300 dollars the Porsche dealer wanted. Also, had them install a new starter. They installed an OEM, original equipment manufacturer Bosch part, not some cheap knockoff, at a fair price and in keeping everything as original as possible. The rear suspention bags on my Land Rover gave out the day before (a Friday) I had planned to return home to Maine from Fort Lauderdale. I was refered to Autobahn and showed up at about noon and met Porter who explained they would run diagnostics that afternoon but the car would not be ready until Monday at the earliest. He explanined that the shop was closed Saturdays and Sundays. He called me later that afternoon to give me an estimate. Imagine my surprise when Porter called Saturday afternoon to tell me the repairs had been completed. I wish I could remember the name of the mechanic who heard about my predicament and agreed to come in on Saturday to complete the repairs. I was stunned. good day, i wanted to respond to you through email but I couldn't find one on your website. i brought the "lemon" car for you not expecting to be charged close to $1700 and a $1000 more to see if you can fix a battery problem. all the information I provided in my review are accurate. i expect to be charged a reasonable amount for your effort but the car was not fixed. I offered to pay $500 but was refused. a refund of $1000 is what you should do so it's fair for both of us. As for the documents proving that the alternator was not a brand new manufacturer part, the bill of the mechanic that fixed the car, and the text message exchanges between myself and your associate, the Florida department of agriculture and customer service will send them to you since I filed a formal complaint. This all can be solved by doing the right thing and issue me a refund. read more
