This garage is run by Jon who is one of the nicest, polite and friendly person I have ever met. The garage is clean, tidy and well organised. The service is excellent, with lots of things that other garages charge for not being included in the bills I have been presented. His labour rates are very fair and the lowest I have seen too. More importantly Jon loves cars and cares about his work and is very knowlegable about BMWs. My car is a specialist model a 330ci with an SSG gearbox (52 plate). Not many were sold in the UK and as a result hardly anyone has worked on them. The gearbox started to act in a peculiar way and whoever i took the car too couldn't fix it, in fact most garages ran for cover when I told them what car I had and the issue with the box. Not Jon, he rolled up his sleeves and did loads of research. He had my car back several times and lent me a free of charge hire car whilst he looked at my car. Eventually after going through a series of parts replacements and diagnoses steps, he has finally fixed my car. If you look on the forums most people who own my car and have had this problem I experienced, never seem to ever fix it. I am fortunate to have found Jon. He is brilliant I would recommend this garage to anyone. He is the best BMW specialist in the Bristol area, I know because I have spoken to most of them and his reputation amonst BMW garages and specialists is secound to none. I felt I need to write this review. Autobase is the garage my family has used for nearly 10 years, they are a small local garage, very busy (popular) and deal with all types of vehicles. As a result of this you don't get the waiting area and latte service but what you get is your car fixed at a price you are ok with paying, it's a great garage and I would never think of going anywhere else. read more

Superb small garage with extensive knowledge of BMWs. Usually they offer alternatives on price to reflect the age of the vehicle being maintained and are will to accept provision of parts and just charging labour. They are NOT an MOT station, so had the previous poster bothered to check this, their review might not have been so poor. read more
