This place drove my nut in last year mucking me around with appointments and trying to sell me things I didn't want. Despite this, I tried booking a simple appointment for an engine oil change this year and regretted it. I thought while I was there, I could combine the visit with meeting a salesman about leasing or buying a car. Clearly too much for them. They wanted me to call a separate person (metres away from the front desk) to coordinate that appointment for them. In any case, apparently I would have enough time anyway because the oil change would take "several hours". I was told they never know if something else might need servicing. Given that the full service was 12 months ago and this was only supposed to be an oil change, it was clear they were trying to do what they did 12 months ago and sneak extras onto the bill. After my experience last year, I sensed this was going to get really complicated again. I can only shake my head at their service mentality and will not use them again. read more

I had my car inspected at the Strassenverkehrsamt in Zug Canton and they gave me a short list of issues that needed to be corrected/repaired. I sent the list (written in German) to Ebner to quote the repairs. The list included the requirement to repair the blinker lights and a few other things on the car. A quote of €700 was provided and so I booked the repair. I took the day off and traveled with my family to Germany. The technician made the "repairs" and came out to give me the keys. He then provided me with another additional quote to repair the blinker lights for €450. I said the document I sent included the blinkers and that his quote included blinkers. He said that was not the case. So we got the girls in reception involved and they pulled up the document. Sure enough repairing the blinkers was in the document. The technician manager said Ebner "missed it" when they provided the quote. I then pointed out that his quote included blinkers and he said that the quote was just for inspection. He then added that the document stated the left blinker was bad but it was actually the right blinker that was bad, so their quote did not include the right blinker. So basically they charged me to inspect blinkers that they were already told were bad and they wanted more money to fix the blinkers. I asked if I could just buy the blinker lights and install them myself and he tried to insist that it was a bad idea because the electrical system might require an upgrade because of the new lights. I'm an engineer and this last comment was an absolute load of rubbish. I will book the repairs elsewhere now and will not return to Ebner. read more
