I really wanted to love this spot because it's run by a veteran but I've been here twice and I just can't recommend them. I came around 2 years ago and when I got my car back there were tools left in my car, my speakers were disconnected somehow (didn't get speaker work done), there was SO much grease and dirty water or spray for the tint inside, one side of my backseat panels looked like it didn't get put back in right, there were bubbles in the tint. I returned the tools and was told to wait and the bubbles would go away, but they never did. Fast forward and the bubbles got worse, along with the back window tint completely peeling up, I reached out a few months ago and they said they'd fix it for free. They give me a day to come in only to tell me they actually don't have the tint I need -____- I have to come back and don't get a call for hours. I had to call more than once to get an update on my car being finished. I get there and the back window is already peeling up, there's grease marks all over the inside of my car, and both my back panels are popped out. I asked them to fix it and they try but after standing in the sun for over an hour, they say they can't fix it. Okay so you messed up my car?? I was already mad for waiting so long and just reached out to the company over the next few days only to not get a response until I reached out multiple times (via yelp and telephone). The owner texts me saying they'll clean the inside of my car but I tell him I already booked a car detail somewhere else. I asked if they could pay for my detail instead because I don't trust their company right now anyways and he says they would just clean the inside and he'll look at my car himself. That's what he said the last 2 times I went in and so I just cut my losses and paid to get my car cleaned elsewhere since I wasn't able to get the grease out. My tint is still peeled up in the back and when it gets worse I'm just going to go somewhere else. The pictures are after I tried cleaning the grease and pushing the panel down myself, and 1 of them taking the panel off again but it didn't work.

I highly recommend them. They did such an amazing job on my son's truck windows for his birthday. Affordable prices and quick efficient service. I will be back for my car to be done as well and be recommending my friends and family.

Chad did a great job on our 2018 Pacifica, as we expected by a fellow former (AO) Navy serviceman. The detail of even getting the tiny windows by the dashboard (which I totally forgot about) made it perfect! A friend recommended him, and so do I!!

Just got my '21 f150 done. This wasn't my normal tint shop but I had friends that recommended them, so I gave them a shot. First off, email response was quick and the quoted price was much less than my other place. Secondly, I showed up for my appointment and and in less than 1 hr I was back in my truck. Each person I talked to was courteous and professional. So far my initial impression is a good one. I don't foresee any issues long term.

From start to finish I got a good feeling. The quote seemed low so I was a bit skeptical, but the reviews speak for themselves. I was in and out in about 35 min start to finish. Where others were quoting me 250.00-599.00 for two front windows and the front strip on a Raptor, Chad did it for a fraction of that, with a lifetime warranty. Other places were trying to charge extra for the warranty. Overall, extremely satisfied and I would highly recommend this shop. After spending a month or so researching window tinting services on yelp, I decided to choose Automotive Image. Chad provided me with the BEST customer service and he did an amazing job on my windows. He responds quickly and was able to answer all oft questions before I came in. When I arrived at his shop, he explained the different levels of tint to me and made me feel comfortable doing business with him. He made sure I was positive on what I wanted before he began his work. Though Chad does have some of the cheapest pricing I have seen, his work is QUALITY. I can't say enough about what a great job Chad did on our Mercedes windows yesterday. He not only was very professional, but he was just a nice stand up dude. He answered any questions we had as well as explained the reasons why. He never seemed annoyed or bothered. He also showed my husband and I how he wraps vehicles and ways to save your paint. So happy with my window tint! I got all 7 windows and the strip on my windshield for less than 200$! Plus nationwide warranty. I was quoted 300+$ for just 5 windows at other places. Luckily I was referred by my brother about this place. I asked for a quote on yelp and got a response in less than 10 minutes which was nice. The customer service is great, the owner chad is very welcoming as well as all the workers are all very friendly Pricing is extremely reasonable with great quality work! Such a quick easy process. Made an app for the next day they were open (I asked for a quote on the weekend) & dropped the car off, 2- 2 1/2 hours later I get a text it's all done, Pay & I'm good to go! I've had several cars tinted at highly reviewed shops in San Diego, and Chad's vinyl/tint work at Automotive Image stands out as being the best. I reached out to Chad through Yelp messaging to get my Lexus RCF ceramic tinted along with 3M 4D carbon fiber wrapped, and received a response with a quote within 15 minutes. I was surprised by the low price that was quoted, but the prompt and courteous response that I received (along with the positive yelp reviews of his work) made me not hesitate to schedule an appointment for the following Saturday. I'm super glad I did because Chad did an amazing job on my RCF! The tint looks awesome and so does the vinyl wrapped roof/spoiler (really clean cuts on the vinyl and tint looks superb). Initially I requested to be quoted on yelp, no response for a good amount of hours which isn't a big deal since I just decided to call and was able to get my quote quickly over the phone. We were able to set up an appointment and he actually set it at 8:15am because I asked for it to be done soon because of work and he had another client after when he's usually at least I've seen open at 9am which I can appreciate. When I came to the appointment there was a positive and a negative, the positive is he helped me decide on the right tint 5% on back 45 % on front 2 and 70% windshield CXP but there was a spontaneous 60$ increase to my price from 700 to 760$ due to him running out of the tint i was initially going for and switching to CXP which at first I was skeptical but I think the result was worth it and it comes with a *limited* life time warranty. Overall 2 hiccups, it's not a big operation & the guy who helped was very polite and explained things very openly which I can also appreciate, I'm happy with my experience and result and I would definitely recommend this place to the people I know as well as any person reading.

When I asked about ceramic tint, I was told I "didn't need it," but when I asked why, the explanation came across more dismissive than educational. The shop may very well do quality work, and I can't speak to their installations, but customer experience matters too. I was hoping for a more informative and respectful interaction, especially as someone trying to learn before making a purchase decision.

Where things started to slip was on the pickup side. I was told the car was ready, but still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes before actually getting it. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.

Excellent work at a competitive price. Chad was amazing with scheduling my tint, providing directions to the place, and finishing the job quickly. He was very polite and even took the time to explain some defects with my window and the cause. (I had body work and there was metal melted into my window glass). He helped me choose the right level of tint for my family, and to meet legal requirements. I went with a limo tint and he warned me that visibility at night might be affected. It isn't recommended to go that dark if you don't have a back up camera. He finished quickly and the tint was perfect. I waited a week to write the review to make sure it stayed good through the drying process. I will be sending all my friends to him if they want tint, and will use him for future tint needs as well. read more

Well it looks like I found go to tint guy. My guy Chad at Automotive Image deserves all 5 of these stars. Let me break down each star for the yelpers. 1st star is for affordable pricing. One word, cheap. Don't get it twisted though the only thing cheap about Chad's service is his pricing. 2nd star is for the fast turnaround. Let me paint the picture. I arrived at 10:30am, was out of there by 12:15, with 7 windows on my car tinted beautifully. 3rd star is for the quality tint that he uses. Solar Gard is back by an excellent life time warranty. 4th and 5th star is for being such an awesome ******* guy. Great service I will definitely be recommending my friends and family to Chad. I have been searching everywhere for a reasonably priced window tinting company in the area and was unable to find one until I head of Automotive Image. Their price are unbelievable and the quality of work is phenomenal. My 2007 Kia looks brand new again! Not only do they use top of the line product, Solar guard, but it's back by a lifetime warranty and I walked out with the warranty card, I'm safe from fading, cracking,bubbling,etc. Now I know I'm good!!! Go to these people they are a small business and very friendly and can feel it from them from the second you meet them. The best deal I could ever find. Great customer service. Went in and did all my windows in just over an hour. Couldn't resist with their deals and went back the following week to get my roof wrapped.
