Staff were friendly but lacked knowledge. I've never worked at an autozone but id assume they can just search up a part on their computer, at least thats what my local autozone does for me. (Not this one) employee went to typing then confirmed the name of the part I brought in, to then tell me they aren't familiar with it. Even if they aren't familiar with it, it would be ever so helpful to know if autozone has it even if it isn't on hand in the back at that time. That entrance off Western Avenue, with its immediate zig-zag into the parking lot, is a nuisance. Other than that, I had no problems inside the store. They have a well-stocked, well-organized inventory, and I'm glad that brand assistance can be done scanning QR codes these days. Checkout was fine. I didn't require assistance while I was there, but I did see one of the staff putting new wiper blades on some other customer's car when I pulled in, so there's that. The staff is generally very friendly. However there is a tremendous lack of basic knowledge. One has an expectation that employees in an auto parts store know the basics. I went in to purchase a maintenance free battery. The clerk brings of a regular battery - with the standard water caps on the top. I said that is not a maintenance free battery. The clerk decided to argue with me saying it was because it already had the water in it. I said if it has water caps it is not maintenance free. The clerk calls the manager over and he also tries to tell me that the battery they are trying to sell me is maintenance free. I explain again that maintenance free batteries are sealed and don't have water caps. He still questions me and I tell him to follow me. I take him over to his battery display and show him on the display what a maintenance free battery looks like and this is the manager? Had a customer without the knowledge that I have requested a maintenance free battery they would have left the store with a completely incorrect product. Autozone prices are nothing special - no better than other auto parts stores. Their selection of parts is pretty decent. But having a staff that doesn't know the basics of what they are selling is disappointing. Because they are friendly I gave them 2 stars. Otherwise it would have been 1 star. read more

Brand new, well stocked store right around the corner from Crossgates mall. It would be really tough to make a left out of here if you are traveling east on Western ave, but there is a median you could pull into. The employee that helped us was very helpful and knew the products well, which helped expedite our shopping trip. read more

I'm a fair person, and I try not to rush to judge, but when I experience the situation I did the other night, I feel the need to share, in hopes that perhaps the management will take note. My wiper blade on my drivers side bit the dust, and we were expecting some snowy/rainy conditions the next day. I went to Auto Zone at 6 pm on a weeknight to get a new blade. I've purchased wiper blades all around the Capital Region at a variety of stores, Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts, Walmart etc etc and they have ALWAYS offered to pop the blade on. It's not a guaranteed service, but I've NEVER not been asked. I walk into this Auto Zone, and the kid behind the counter sees me walk in (there's one other customer in the store, and a coworker emptying trash behind the counter) and he looks away, like he doesn't see me. I walk up to the counter and say I need a new wiper blade, he looks at the overhead signs and doesn't seem to know where to send me. The other customer in the store walks up and says that they're in aisle three. I find the blade I need, and walk up to the register. There are now NO customers in the store and two employees. As I'm paying for the blade I ask if they would mind popping it on for me. The kid at the register and the coworker side-eye each other and the kid says "we can't do that right now". I express my surprise and say that it's always been offered before. He replies "we can't do that right now". Ok. Your parking lot is dark/poorly lit, I can't see what I'm doing to get the blade on, there's another customer out there with a flashlight in his teeth trying to get HIS wiper blades on, and I end up stopping at family member's house to put the blade on. 1.) It's not a large store, and this kid has been working there at least a year, because he was being trained when I was in there a year ago (when they cheerfully offered to put on my blade for me). He doesn't know where commonly asked for items are? 2.) I can go ANYWHERE to get a new wiper blade. The two employees weren't apologetic, and clearly were looking forward to closing up (although according to their posted hours, they had 2.5 hours to go). I won't be back. Do not recommend. I'm seriously glad I wasn't an elderly person expecting assistance with getting the wiper blade put on. read more

Never hurts to get a second opinion on your game plan or your choice of products. They make car trouble a lot easier to muscle through with friendly staff, stocked inventory, and useful advice. read more

Literally cannot thank these people enough. My headlight went out, and I needed to change the bulb, but I didn't want to spend 200$ on something I knew I could fix myself--even though I've never looked into the hood of my car once. I go to the store, find what I thought were the right bulbs, check with a sales associate that they would fit, and headed home. Turns out they didn't fit. Went back a few hours later and they accepted the return no problem, made sure I had the right bulbs, and the sales associate Tim offered to help me change them right there in the parking lot! Keep in mind it's a 15-degree, chilly winter day, and this guy spent almost an hour helping me get both of my headlights changed and even refused a tip when I offered one. Ten out of ten experience, and would 100% come here for any other help I would need in the future. read more

Came into autozone to get a scratch along the side of my car off and met Justin who helped me get the scratch off (which was actually the clearcoat of the car which is why it was able to be taken off). I went in today July 7th around 11:30 am and wanted to do a return and/or exchange an item for a new item at the store since I bought the wrong item. I work retail so I know how no receipt returns work. The guy working there was very rude as soon as we got up there. He didn't even wanna help us. It was evident that he did not have a good attitude when we approached him. He was straight up being an asshole. You don't talk or deal with customers like how he did. I ended up going to a different auto zone and they helped and more with zero issues, as they should. Nevertheless, this AutoZone doesn't not care about customers. DO NOT RECOMMEND 0/10. read more

We needed a battery for our Honda CR-V late in the evening - near closing time. The young lady who helped me was excellent. Polite and professional. I believe her name was Vedena (I'm probably spelling it wrong) She came outside right away and installed the battery. She obviously knew exactly what she was doing. (I could have done this as I'm experienced in auto repair but had no tools in the car. I know competence when I see it.) She even preserved the radio code and presets. Three cheers for her! I have never in my life talked to anyone as stupid as Carrie is.place is completely unreliable I ordered a part over the phone what a huge mistake I was promised overnight shipping I didn't get that. Not only did I not get it they never told me they had a problem with my payment I checked my bank and they clearly took the money out my account but they had a problem on their end they canceled my payment and still gave me the part because I was so upset they told me when I get the money back pay for it then.
