Woke up to a dead better on Saturday the 20th. Called autozone and they had the battery I needed and Prince put it in for me while I waited. it took less then 10 minutes and he was awesome. All I needed was a battery and the free installation that was advertised. I went in Wednesday night and the employee tested my battery and suggested I drive it around to let it recharge to see if I really needed a new one. So I drove to Rita's for the mango gelati I deserved, since I believed I was saving $100 AND recharging my battery all at the same time. The next morning, Thursday, the car wouldn't start. I'm pissed, but not surprised. So I jumped the car and was at the store at 8:15 PM (they close at 10 PM) to just take care of this once and for all. No more wishful thinking or mango gelatis, I just need a new battery.. Here's where I get mad: I walk in and the two workers told me they "weren't allowed to help me because they had both been written up recently for going outside the store to install a battery when it was dark outside". Now, they were very friendly and sincere which made me believe them, but as I drove my dying car to the PepBoys to find it closed; and then home, to know I'm shit out of luck, it hit me that this is screwed up! They always go out of their way to help. I went there to get a brake light and a headlight. Without even asking them for help, they came to my car and installed it for me free of charge. It was pretty easy for them to do it, but it would have taken me at least an hour to figure it out. They went out of their way to help me and it saved me a lot of time and hassle. read more

I went there about a week ago to get a bulb for my car. I asked an associate which bulb was right for it, they told me and I went on my way. Turns out, that even though the associate read the answer off a fill in the blank program, he told me to get the wrong bulb. So, my dad returned the bulb, and asked a different associate which bulb was correct, he purchased it and went on his way. Once again we bought the wrong bulb that an associate assured us would be the right bulb. I don't know if the program they're using to determine correct headlight bulb is faulty, or they're just incredibly incompetent, but I'm not going back. This is inexcusable. read more
