I went into the Orange Autozone today to get replacement windshield wipers. I had called first to ask if they would be able to install them also. The sales girl (didn't get her name - had pink/purple hair) was helpful on the phone and in person. She took the time to show me the different wipers available (didn't just point me to the aisle). The manager, Jose, took the time to not only install the wipers but showed me how to do it and even disposed of the old wipers. This was done while being courteous and friendly, not resentful and annoyed (the treatment that seems to be more common these days). I can't believe this location got so many 1 star reviews. That was not my experience at all. Autozone should give these two individuals a raise. I will go out of my way to return to this location. read more

I don't even know where to start. This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. So I came in and I was assisted by a guy named Raymundo/Raymundole or whatever it is. Prior to this, I was helped by someone from AAA to jumpstart my car as it couldn't start. So after that, I decided to go to Autozone to have them checked whether I needed to replace my battery immediately or it could still last a little longer because they have the free testing and charging services. So I came in at about 2:30pm and this guy assisted me. I told him I needed him to check the battery. So he did and he came out with the equipment to jumpstart it. One time it didn't work. Two, three until about six times he jumpstarted it but the car still wouldn't start. I was annoyed already by his incapabilities. Then after that, he just told me that the battery was completely dead already. So I said to him then we'll have to replace the battery now. He said, "I'm gonna need to ask first." Then he came out and told me that he wouldn't be able to change it for me as there were only 2 people working at the moment in the store. I was pissed off and I said, "You told me the battery is completely dead and I need the battery to be replaced now. I was planning to go to the other Autozone store after you jumpstart it but you couldn't do it. Therefore, I need to have it replaced right now!" Again, he said he needed to ask first. Then he came out again with the same excuses and then told me to call AAA instead. Does this even make sense? This store claims to specialize in battery and you told me to ask AAA for help instead? Unbelievable! I was dumbfounded and called AAA instead. Left my car open like a can of tuna, no apologies, no nothing, and he just walked back in to the store. I parked outside their store in a hot sunny day with almost 90 degrees and not even a single person came out to ask whether I needed help or not. Then, after 10 minutes or so, this guy came out again and then went straight to his car and drove away. I was like this guy is so unbelievable. Just by looking at the way he walks, I knew right away that he is a lazy ass person. Just because you're done with your shift doesn't mean you should just make excuses to not assist a customer. When you go into a place mainly run by males you would think that seeing a female that is going to attend you would be something pleasant and inspire trust, but having that same female role her eyes at you at the thought of having to look up a part is only one small step into the crappiest service I've ever received at an autozone. Maybe I should have been the one rolling my eyes after being sold a bulb that they didn't even have in stock. Furthermore why are you using profanity while a customer can clearly hear you and is standing directly in front of you about the stupidity of selling me something you didn't have in stock and referring to each other brutely as "whey" and "mamon". After my refund for an item i didnt even receive, i asked if it was available at another store so i could go purchase it. To this the man attending me said, who knows? they might? Wow....excuse me, but dont you have a computer nowadays that can look up parts at other locations? or an old fashion phone to call? Again pure lazyness! and disregard for customer service! Even after diservicing me that way, I asked politely if they could at least help me install the one bulb that they did find that cost me almost $20 bucks. There again was the face of ultimate, why do i have to help you? Um, because its your Job?. Useless brute! although they had zero customers to attend, the man claimed dramatically to be too busy and unable to leave the store. It wasn't until I commented that other auto zones had helped me before that he decided to proceed outside with a face of misery. Taking off the bulb literally took him less than 2 minutes , but apparently he installed it incorrectly and I say incorrectly because it wouldn't turn on so he took off the cover again only to realize he jammed it, he went for a tool and kept stabbing it continuously until he gave up and said it doesn't work you need to go to a mechanic. With a jammed lid? He tried again and finally got it open once more. I asked Him at that point if he could change it for another bulb as he had been jamming it continuously and he refused and said i needed a mechanic and that it was electrical and left the cap open and walked inside. Frustrated I went to another auto zone where let me tell you the bulb worked perfectly fine which tells me that the lazyness portrayed by this individual was also incompetence! BIG SURPRISE from a moron as he suggested that my wires weren't working and had I listened to him would have been down even more money. What a joke, next time I see such crappy reviews I will believe them, but then again I hadn't even yelped prior because I actually trust and hold a great regard toward auto zone, but the only reason I had even come here was because it was close to where I got my tires changed. This review is a late post (I went in a few weeks ago the first time, and again last week). This is the first time I have gone to buy an auto part, and the cashiers offer to install it for me. That was great! The reason they lose stars is because I had called them beforehand, asking them whether or not they had the parts I needed for 2 different cars. The person on the phone assured me that they did, so I went in to purchase them. When I got there, they rang me up for 4 windshield wipers of the same size, though I had told them that they were different sizes for both cars. When the cashier came out to install them, he realized the error and we had to go back in to return one of the wipers and pick up the correct size. I tried to then return the other one and get the correct size for my sister's car, but they didn't have any in the correct size. He then told me that there's a chance that my sister's car would need 2 of the same sizes, but I told him that my sister had told me that they were, in fact, different sizes. He told me that the best bet would be to come back in after they restock. It's not a big deal, but if I call and give the specific model of a car and ask if the part is in stock before I go and am told yes, I expect to leave with the correct parts that I went for. I walked around the store looking for the screw and nut. An employee looked at me and continued sweeping or restocking the shelf. I walked around some more and Alfredo was done with the call. He asked me if I need help. I told him what I was looking for and he proceeded to show me where it's located. I only needs one screw and nut. They sell packs of 5 each. I waited for his return call the next day and he didn't call me back. So I went there in person. He hid from this whole ordeal and refused to speak with me in regards to this matter! He even hid in the back while I was waiting to speak with him and as he was leaving my mom asked him if he was the manager and he said "no". Gabriel is a coward. Then I tell another member of their staff what happened and he specifically said, "this happens all of the time" in regards to being sold used merchandise. For the last three or more weeks, we've seen 2 to 3 Yorba middle school aged boys who sit at the Auto Zone back door. This AutoZone is across from The Boot Barn. These boys use vulgar language and harass passing by girls and woman as they are walking to and from the apartments behind AutoZone. I'm not sure if these boys are somehow related to an employee in AutoZone, but someone needs to break up their mini gang. I called AutoZone today and an employee who answered the phone claimed he's never seen these boys sitting at their back doorstep. I find that hard to believe. Being just around the corner from my home, I went into this Autozone location earlier today to use their (free) battery charging service. 4 hours later, when I returned for my battery, I was informed that the battery was "bad" and wouldn't take a charge. I drove down to the place where I'd originally purchased the battery, and they proceeded to charge it to the point where a diagnostic could be performed on it: it passed all tests and was verified to be operating according to the manufacturer's standards...they charged the battery the rest of the way, and returned it to me. So according to the guys at Autozone, my battery was no good, so I can only conclude that they either have defective charging equipment there, or they never bothered to charge it at all, and hoped I'd purchase a new one from them. I will not spend a dime in Autozone again after this, despite the fact that it's right around the corner. read more

Horrible customer service. The employe was very disrespectful, his name is Edward. After Edward gave me the wrong caliper. I had to go back to get the right one. Instead of apologizing he said, "You are the one who agreed to take the caliper." As a customer you trust that the employee is competent to search the right information we provide for them and for them to get the right part. His coworker Alvaro said in front of Edward that he indeed had given me the wrong part, yet Edward to continue to say "It was somebody's mistake maybe yours or mine." He works there, YES it was his fault. I had to buy another caliper in order to finish the job and go back for a third time to get both my refunds. Alvaro provided me with both my refunds and to my surprise he did not apologize once. Take 3 minutes and drive to the Katella and Glassell location where I have never had an issue with parts let alone customer service. read more
