I would rate this AutoZone 15 out of 10. The fellow who helped me went out of his way to be super helpful. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate him assisting a woman who knows nothing about cars. Normally, I'm lost in stores like this. I came here as in gently clueless about car stuff and something happened such that a few lights came on the dash, including check engine. I knew they would check engines for free, and came because i heard AutoZone helps us clueless people with such services. Also, i needed a new headlight. Perhaps they were understaffed ? Two people were working up front. They gave me the electronic thingy to test my engine and asked me if i knew how to use it. I said no, can you help me? And they said no. lol. Okay, 10 min later and 5 times restarting the machine i figured it out. They did help me find the replacement bulb i needed for my headlight. They did not help me replace it. Girl power cause i did it myself. But also, not the experience i anticipated. Maybe i was confused by the commercials stating they would help you with those services ? read more

Like many others, I had my car towed when the shopping center parking lot had limited spaces because of many snow piles. Meanwhile the Autozone lot had plenty of spaces. Worst customer service at this location. I parked my car for a few minutes to go to another business and they had my car towed within 15 minutes. They had no idea if I was going to shop there after. I talked to the owner and she said she will not put a parking sign up. I recommended she put another sign up that's says "Auto Zone Parking Only". HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO EMPATHY AT ALL. I got back from a 10 week work trip and my battery was dead. I didn't have anyone to start it while I was away. Managed to get a jump that lasted long enough to get to the parking lot before it died again. The guy at the store was rude and refused to help me get a new battery. He didn't give me any chance to explain my situation and said "You just need to take better care of your stuff." They didn't have a working jumper pack and the guy refused to use his car to help jump mine to try to get home. One of the other customers ended up halting me out. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Needless to say I will never return to this shop and I hope you don't either. read more

AVOID THIS STORE! THEY WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE! I parked here while the store was closing and they towed my vehicle while gone for 15 minutes next door. AutoZone said I was disrupting their customers but this occurred while they were closing with no one around... AutoZone and this Manager is petty to tow consumers cars just because you're upset about parking at 9pm? I walked next door to shop, they share the same lot, what's the difference where I park? I had to pay $200 to get my vehicle back. AutoZone refused to feels justified and it doesn't matter that this is happening. The tow driver told me, he just randomly picks out vehicles and begins taking them when called by the manager. As in the driver doesn't tow vehicles that are there the longest, he just picks a car without the parking brake on and takes it!!! He just singled out my car...Apparently the owner does this often according to many others. So please let's give AutoZone what they want by not parking there...ever and avoid going to there store all together. read more

Why is this place still opened..? Customer service isn't the greatest and looking at the other reviews........ they obviously over-tow cars that are their own customers. At least have some kind of signage up regarding parking. Have yourself the hassle. Go somewhere else for your car needs. I've had better service at other Autozones. Trust. Excellent service. I came to change the front light of my car. I did everything over the phone. David came outside and changed it. He helped me with product, C C transaction, installation in less than 3 minutes. He was fast and friendly . Surprisingly amazing!! read more

Parked here for 35 minutes and got towed. I went to another store before going to the Autozone but did not find my car upon my return. The parking lot was empty, and they did not need my spot for their customers. Not coming here again, and would not recommend. read more

I had a Groupon for mechanic up the road, but Waze inadvertently sent me to this Autozone location on Rockville Pike. A very nice Autozone professional took a look at my wife's car (the brakes were making noise) and told me that he'd need to get his manager to make an assessment. Cheryl comes out and gives me not only a thorough assessment of what was going on with the brakes but recommended a business nearby that could fix it and to let them know that she'd referred me! The integrity, hard work and friendliness here just blew me away! They went far above and beyond what they needed to do to help me and I'm eternally grateful and impressed! Even though they don't do repairs; they have everything that you need from parts to exceptional professionals like Cheryl who'll treat you right! It's great to know that there are great people and businesses like this left in this country! read more

"Fixing" anything with my car gives me anxiety. This location was clean and didn't have a hectic parking lot like some of the others in the area. I needed my brake light replaced, and Angel helped me pick out the right light and installed them for me. Very polite & professional, and educated me on what he was doing. read more

Literally the worst experience ever! My mom and I came to the autozone because our battery was giving us trouble and we had zero idea how the process works or etc. So, we came in and the customer service representative Guy F was so rude!!!! He made us not want to come back there ever again!!! My mom and I were standing outside in the heat waiting for him to do the battery test and when he was done he showed it was bad and walked away..... so my mom and I awkwardly waited there waiting to know what to do next! And he came back five minutes later with an attitude asking why we weren't inside!!! Like, this is your job........it's your job to be clear. It was just overall a bad experience. read more

My experience was unpleasant but what frustrates me the most is their scam. They sell $80 car batteries but if you choose that one, they refuse to install it for you. I wanted a cheap battery and the cheapest one he would install was $140. It is a scam from a gigantic corporation. read more

Predatory towing to me. Bad way to treat people. So we will never shop here. We've parked in this lot for the past 10 years to eat at the neighboring restaurant without incident. There are areas clearly marked as Autozone parking only and then large areas that appear to be general parking for the strip mall. We made sure to park in an area without any signage but still got towed within 30 minutes - and the lot was basically empty. So at 10pm in the sleeting rain, with our 2 kids, we had to call a cab and pay $150 for a tow. What bothers us the most is that my wife actually said good evening to an Autozone employee just after we parked and he said nothing to us about the parking. He clearly saw what was going on. He could have easily warned us or left a note. It would have cost Autozone nothing. But not having us as customers (as well as our family and friends) will cost them. I suspect there's an immoral relationship between Autozone, or their employees, and the towing company. In Montgomery County a few years back predatory towing practices resulted in a class-action lawsuit and cash award. If this is happening to you too I recommend contacting the Montgomery country office of Consumer Protection who handles these complaints. read more

Got towed here very quickly. Parking spaces not clearly marked, and the signs that exist away from the building are not visible at night. Predatory towing company has contract with them and was verbally abusive over phone. Manager in store did not care and threw me out of the store. Made a Yelp just to review the horrible business of this Autozone. I left my car here and was towed within 20 minutes before I could come to the Autozone. The towers said that the location tows every day, even sometimes for customers that were in the business at the time of the tow. Never trust a place that has a 30+ car parking lot and still has the time to tow cars after 20 minutes of parking. read more

Last evening on my way home from work my windshield wiper blade came off and it was raining pretty hard. I stopped and looked for AutoZone because the jingle kept running through my head. I found the closest one on Rockville Pike, so I called and Jeremy answered the phone. He assured me that he would help me replace my wiper. When I got to the store Jeremy helped me out -- suggested what to buy and then he installed them in a snap!!! At that time of day, most service stations are closed for service and there was no way I could get home without a wiper. AutoZone saved me last night -- Thank you Jeremy! read more
