I purchased a battery on 01-15-2022. The purchase included a 3 year warranty. On 06-24-24, the battery failed. Called the store for warranty information and my purchase record wasn't available? I found my receipt and went the store in person. They honored the warranty and placed a new battery on the counter. I asked them if they had tools because it looked like I was the mechanic that day. They offered up the tools and I switched the battery out. FYI: A good auto parts store would offer to install and battery as well as have my purchase information in their system. Cast in point: Always keep your receipts because without due diligence the new battery would have cost me out of pocket. Seems a little sketchy that my warranty information wasn't in their system. Last week my car wouldn't start, so I headed to Autozone to have my battery tested (they do it for free-hurray!). When I walked in the woman at the cash register rather grumpily told me I'd need to wait until their tech, who was already outside helping someone, was finished. Which I kind of understood, but there were several people working, and it seemed odd that nobody else could help. After waiting about five minutes another employee came out from the back of the store, asked me if I needed assistance, and when I told him I was waiting to have my battery checked, he cheerily replied, "Well, I can do that!" It took just a few minutes to verify that yes, it was my battery, and then he went over my options with me, and gave genuine advice, suggesting a mid-tier battery over a more expensive one. They usually show the different models on their computer screen, and run through them quickly so you don't have a chance to look over the specifications and make a real comparison. He was kind enough to print out a list (without my asking). So shout out to Brandon, who was super helpful, not pushy, and very friendly and pleasant to work with. read more

I honestly haven't had the best luck with Auto Zone when it comes to batteries, I got a new battery put in probably a year and a half ago at the Sandy location and had to get it replaced last week and it wasn't a cheap battery, but luckily I had the warranty. My battery died again 2 days later because they didn't have it properly installed. I got my battery replaced at this Auto Zone last Wednesday and it died again Monday so I had to pay a mechanic $50 to come and tell me that the battery they put in was an old 2017 battery. Between being stranded out in the cold TWICE now and out $50, this is really frustrating. I called to let them know and they told me to bring my car so that they can put in a 2018 battery which should have been done in the first place. Won't be using Auto Zone ever again. Do it right the first time Auto Zone! read more

Needed a brake rebuild kit on Wednesday night. Auto Zone site told me if I ordered and went to the store to pay I would have it by Friday. Made a special trip to the store, dont know why I couldnt do it online, and the guy at the store told me I should have it by friday. Its Monday now no parts no eta on order when I call what a scam. read more

Not the friendliest of services. I did however got help with a new battery replacement. I'm grateful that they tested it and that my new battery has a 5 year replacement warranty. With my luck it will go off at 5 years one day, but I'm glad I will be able to have a running car without having to wait hours at the mechanic. read more

This place is extremely helpful! They will go out to your car with you and check what's wrong and even help you with small repairs. My husband wasn't home to help me with a coolant leak in my Toyota Camry and they helped me find what I needed and helped me fill it up. Highly recommended read more

Look, it's an auto parts store...many of the employees, like any other retail business are pretty low on the IQ food chain. Got a particularly surly one this last week, and she buggered up my LIFETIME WARRANTY transaction (among the other things she messed up). Called Autozone corporate, to complain and sort it out. Got a call back from a (the) district manager, Told him she was not only mentally challenged but goofed up a fairly simple transaction...unnecessarily, just being an A-hole. In a nutshell, Ford in it's infinite wisdom put some year 2000 parts on a (very) late run truck. There were 10 days left in the production run and blah, blah, blah. She sold me a '99 part and then said it was a new transaction, so voided the old warranty. District manager came by the store, I met him there. Very nice. Respectful and pleasant. I've dealt with many chain, private and Dealer part stores...they all have goofed up. They all get (and sell) parts that fail, sometimes prematurely. And some of the parts, even if swapped for nothin', are a pain in the ass to change. Broken brakes can even get you killed.. Hell, I had a Ford shop ruin a $9000 engine and weasel out of covering it because they didn't want to look bad. Over a $12 gasket. I just want the company to do what they claim in a polite manor in a reasonable time. So far, and I use a lot of parts, AutoZone has (with a small amount of ear twisting) come through. The company who re-manufactures it's brake calipers (although not perfect) are one of the better companies. read more

I went in there today to pick up a brake caliper. The manager on duty and a cashier were in a conversation with another customer about her chains that she bought. How they failed, and she wrecked her car. I blame the customer for not installing them right, since they were bought in salt lake, and the wreck happened on donner's pass but that is just me over hearing the conversation. So after waiting a good ten minutes in line to get my caliper. I was asked if i was paying cash or credit. Being the cash loving American that I am. I said CASH. I was promptly moved to another line. Where cash customers pay, a line where managers need to give approval. So I wait ten minutes, to wait another ten minutes, for the manger to deal with broken chains from donner's pass. I mean really. Auto Zone is a Nation wide chain, if the customer really had problems near donner's pass she would have contacted a store in reno. Not a store 530 miles away. I will not be going back to autozone. Being a manager, you should prioritize your duties. I realize that you shouldn't call someone a lair, but people that are trying to get one over on the store, should be put behind people that are actually there for a need and not to scam the system. read more

My wife got a battery from here a few months back and this last week it died. She had bought the warranty and so when we took it in and got it tested we got a new one because it was bad. The next day I brought the car in because I noticed that it still felt off. It would putter as was coming to a stop. I took it in and asked to have my alternator checked. The guy asked me if the battery light was on and I said no. He then started to talk to me in a very demeaning way. He told me my car was fine and that it did not have any problems. The next day my car died. When I jumped it, it would only run for 30 seconds. I have found out that the alternator is bad. So instead of fixing the problem when the car was there and could be checked, I have to pay to have it towed somewhere and have them now fix it. I will never be coming back here again. read more

I just went to this AutoZone on my lunch break for a new battery. The man behind the counter was extremely rude to me. I told him I needed a battery. He asked what kind. I said I don't know. He then proceeded to treat me extremely rudely. Saying he doesn't have time for a dumb girl and that there are way more important people than me to help. He had people to see and places to go. That I needed to hurry up and stop wasting his time. I asked for his manager, who was a pregnant woman, and I tried to tell her how rude he was to me, and she glared at me and said "SO???" and then walked away, which caused him to laugh at me. I had my credit card in the machine to pay for my battery (I would have gone elsewhere but I was stranded with a dead battery), and he kept telling me to hurry up. I asked him how I could hurry up, as my credit card is in the machine and he said he just thought I was too dumb to know how to put my card in the machine!!! I tried asking for another manager and was told NO. I cannot believe how rude both the guy at the counter and the manager were to me. They do not care about the customer AT ALL. I used to exclusively use AutoZone for the past 20 plus years. I will NEVER EVER go to them again. Pep Boys, here I come!! read more
