The place has plenty of seating and was a tight squeeze but I suppose that's normal to maximize the space. The staff were Lao and as we got seated it continued to get busier! 4/5 Nam kow - I love this wrap and always get it. Very glad I ordered this. 4/5 Ka poon - this is one it must fave dishes and got it with the blood. A must! 1/5 Steamed fish - was disappointed with this as it was not served hot and lacked flavor. I don't recommend. 3/5 Lao sausage - served differently like little meatballs and was good but not spicy like they should be. It was a bit dry. Would come back to try the papaya salad and explore other items!

Portions are smaller than in the states but quality is excellent. Be ready to wait in line!

I was going to walk right on by but the warm inviting decor did just that... It invited me in. And the rest of the evening was just as warm and inviting as the decor. I stuck to seafood and everything was superb. Alfred explained that Laotian cuisine has the same ingredients as Thai cuisine but with a twist. It was like eating my favorite foods at a fusion restaurant. The Tom Yum soup had large shrimps, a thicker broth than I'm used to with Thai food, as well as the familiar mushrooms and veggies. But it tasted different in a very good way. As was the fish entree. Wrapped in bamboo leaves and topped with ginger and curry it was light and very tasty at the same time. I finished the evening with the sticky rice topped with flan and coconut which was a first for me. I look forward to returning soon and experiencing the rest of their menu.

It was traditional Lao cuisine with a French twist, and the food was flavorful, refreshing, and unique. The black sticky rice Dessert with coconut milk and egg yolk was so good. I want to come back already.

Thai food in Paris... I came I saw I conquered. And it was…read moreGOoOoOd Upon entry, I was immediately greeted and sat. It wasn't crowded so that was a plus. I def smelled the food as I was walking from my hotel and that enticed me to eat here! I ordered the Prefixed menu which included 2 veggie spring rolls and the entree. Another plus was that the menu was in both French and English. Not all Parisian establishments offers that so that was definitely a benefit for me. Overall I'd give the food 9/10. The rice was a tad spicer than I expected it to be. (Im also a very lightweight spice person so there's also that) I LOVED my Thai iced tea. I ordered extra sauce and was charged for it. That seems to be the norm for most places now both in Paris and the US so it's ok. I'd def return! This was my first lunch in Paris and I was NOT disappointed.

The seating inside was a little tight, however. I tried the Pad Thai noodles with Shrimp and it was good but a little different than what we are used to in Miami. I also ordered chicken in red curry sauce which came with white rice, veggie spring rolls and some type of Papaya salad on the side. My hubby ordered beef with a ginger/citrus sauce that was good as well.

With all of the options in Paris, I really wanted something comforting like pho. When I arrived, there was a line out the door and another ordering take out. Since I was only a party of 1 now, I was seated right away. The place is small and every table was full. We have a lot of pho in SF, so there were somethings that I noticed that were different. The noodles didn't taste like rice noodles, more like ramen noodles. They didn't have any of the typical pho items like bean sprouts, basil or jalapenos. The meat was prepared differently, but still very good overall. They didn't have any Viet Beer, only Tsingtao which is Chinese. No worries, I like them all. They also called the dumplings (or gyoza) by the term "ravioli", which was different to see - but probably easier for tourists to understand. Although I am no expert, this didn't seem to be authentic Vietnamese, but more of an Asian Fusion. It was quite delicious though and was glad I had the opportunity to try it out.

Beyond that I just had paneng curry ruined for the rest of my life because it cannot get better then that. The Larb/Lap made of duck... is just the best thing that can ever be made. The secobd time, I had to wait about 10minutes. The wait is well worth it though! I recommend ordering the"menu" that they have. I ordered the 3rd/4th? Menu option (it was the last option). It started with a spicy fish soup, fried shrimps then the main of green curry with beef, fried rice with pork and some chicken. The menu is more than enough to share with 2 people. The fish soup - it was a type of subtle hot where you only notice how spicy it is after half way when your nose is runny. The veggies and fish were delicious. A few sprinkles of coriander Fried shrimp - I do enjoy fried shrimps but this was an excellent fried shrimp. The outside was super crispy with bread crumbs and there was a light soft dough around the shrimp. Mmmm the experience of chewing that... Green curry with beef - It was good green curry but nothing to write home about Chicken - I am not sure what the sauce was. I assume sweet and sour. I was distracted by the other dishes to notice much about this. It was good but not good enough to stand out Fried rice with pork - There were pieces of pork in the fried rice. It had a slight hint of sweet flavor (honey glazed?) But those pieces were mainly salty which made a great balance to the fried rice. I didn't think I would ever rave about fried rice but this place changed my mind To end my lunch meal, I had ordered this "flan" made out of coconut milk with green tea. If you love coconut, I definitely recommend this! It came warmed up. It was soft and coconut-goodness. Heads up, the service isn't great. But you shouldn't be going here for the service but the food. I am happy as long as they don't throw my food
